Re: ShadowClan Clearing

Walking over to Darkray and sniffing the air before sitting down beside him, Wolfcrawl looked into the distance and mumbled something incoherent.

"I saw crowfood today," he began to tell Darkray, "but it moved and told me it was rude to stare... "

Wolfcrawl rested his head onto his paws and played with a beetle crawling by Darkray's foot after speaking.

Now that he was safe and the rogue was getting taken care of Ratpaw moved out from behind the cat he had been hiding at. he watched the scuffle of the rogue and the two warriors and he felt a thrill in watching them. It was like a nice show to him, especially since he didn't have to fight them himself. He didn't know how to fight and wasn't looking forward to doing it himself. It scared him a bit. For now he'd just enjoy the show.

Yeah! Get him! Ratpaw was so excited. He continued enjoying the scene in front of him until the queen guarding the nursery came over to him. The deformed gray apprentice moved his eyes to look at her. "Yeah it was scary at first, but I think I'll be fine.", he meowed. Ratpaw wasn't expecting anyone to ask if he was alright. It really had been scary to see a stranger in camp, but now he knew his clanmates would protect him. He wasn't that scared anymore.

[ Apologies this is quite delayed and short; just wanted to have a small reply out to Ratpaw still, even if it's been a while since all that happened ]

Nightshiver relaxed a little seeing Ratpaw seemed to be unharmed and okay. A small relieved smile drew upon her maw at the apprentice's response, nodding lightly.
"Al-alright, tha-thank go..good..ness."
She was very relieved to see the apprentice okay. Hopefully this event hadn't shaken him up too much.
"You.. did.. good"
The young queen added afterwards, head tilting slightly. She wanted Ratpaw to know he made the right choice, what with alerting the clan and not fighting himself when he had no training. He made the right call in her opinion, and she was grateful for his warning. The nursery was safe.

(Activity post, but mostly open :heartbounce:)

Larkpaw was bored. Very, very bored. And annoyed. Very, very annoyed. Not at herself, but annoyed at how boring things seemed. Or annoyed that her mentor hadn't even bothered to approach her. Dash, she hadn’t even gotten a chance to hear her mentor speak a single syllable. For skies sake, she didn't even know what Foxcall looked like! It was putting Larkpaw on edge. As a former loner, Lark had been used to constant moving about, getting into scrapes, and fighting her peers for food. That was survival of the fittest in its most simple form.

Sure, she’d been a mere kit, but prey shortage was terrible. Larkpaw wrinkled her muzzle with distaste as she recalled the foul odor of rotting rats. Lark wasn’t proud to admit how many times she’d eaten crowfood, but it had kept her alive, completely harmless save for the constant bellyaches and upset stomach she’d had. With a shudder, the young, graceful feline settled down in a corner of the clearing, tucking her paws neatly under her and resting her cheek against the ground. Her amber, fiery gaze narrowed to slits, and Lark coiled her tail at her side, watching the Clan through a half-closed gaze.

Moving out of the apprentices den the small newer apprentice swished his tail back and fourth. He had just woken up, but he had so much energy. He wanted to go do something. Looking around he spotted one of his denmates and moved over to them. The tom with some pieces of flesh missing, hooked his only eye at Larkpaw.

"Hello! I'm Ratpaw if you don't know. I'm a newer apprentice.", he meowed. Without asking first he just sat down next to her. Ratpaw moved his tail from side to side. He was really wanting to try and make new friends. He didn't have any of those. He did have cats he only thought of as his friends, but they weren't official. He'd always been on his own, especially when he was younger and he was almost eaten by his own mother.

Lounging lazily in the clearing like she had no care in the world was probably not the best idea, comparing to ShadowClan standards, but hey, Larkpaw was bored. And she had nothing to do. For a few moments, her amber gaze followed a certain, disfigured apprentice’s tracks as he padded out of the apprentice den and across the clearing, and then Larkpaw had turned her vision elsewhere once more, evidently bored.

At the sound of a voice sounding too close to her liking, Larkpaw’s head jerked up, whipping her face around to turn towards an apprentice she recognized as Ratpaw. She had not expected to be approached(and had no idea when he’d gotten so close), but hey, if it helped her pass the time, then company was allowed.

The corner of her mouth curled upward with amusement as Ratpaw went on to introduce herself, but Larkpaw merely hummed in acknowledgment, saying nothing until the other apprentice was done speaking. “I know who you are.” She said carefully after a moment, grey head tipping to the side. “We were apprenticed together, if I recall correctly.” And then, because Larkpaw was not in the mood to bother the scarred apprentice by making him try to guess her own name, she offered it up herself. “I am Lark…” She announced formally, and then decided to backtrack, realizing she was no longer the loner she’d once been. “Or, erm, Larkpaw now.”

Oakshade

He came out of the warriors den and stretched, his eyes scanning the clearing. His eyes landed on his mate, Meadowleap. He padded over and sat down next to her.“Hey, you don’t look very happy.” he remarked. “What’s wrong? Did someone say something bad about you? If they did I will go give them a piece of my mind—“
