Her ears perked when Ravenpaw spoke again.
"Good eye." Caveclaw commented as she walked over to the flowerbed "Let me take a look."

Drat, oh well. Ravenpaw ket looking, trying to find another flowerbed or indication of poppy. She picked a scent similar to what she remembered Berrypaw showing them. “Smell that?” She asked. “Is that the flower?” She started to follow the trail just in case.

Even if Marigoldpaw already knew where moss was located, she found it very endearing and sweet that Brokenstream was taking the time to give her a short and sweet lesson about where to find the clumpy herbs. "Yessir!" She smiled at the tom before scurrying off. Though, since she nearly slipped and fell on her nose, she slowed her pace and sheepishly smiled. Alright... Here goes nothing. Or everything if she wanted to be literal.

Marigoldpaw watched in silent horror as the moss shredded beneath her claws. She winced and attempted to press the moss back onto the rock she was gathering it from. Oh she felt unbelievably horrible. Did Minkpaw often find herself having trouble with gathering herbs? Marigoldpaw slightly surprised herself. It had been moons since she'd even thought about Minkpaw.

Um, hello Starclan! Can you do me a very intense but totally doable favor? Can you uh, look out for Minkpaw for me? I'm sure she's fine, probably even has her warrior name by now but... I hope she's happy and that her shoulder has healed... And that she visits me. It's uh... It's been awhile.

Deerspark gave Brokenstream a curt nod before hobbling over to whatever greenery and moss he could find. Wow, what great fun? I mean, Deerspark wasn't really ever good at getting stuff in a sense, just clawing at things when he needed to, which would probably make this herb gathering business a lot harder for the anxious tom.

Seeing as all of Heroneye's patrolmates had gotten their share of cobwebs, it seemed that it was time to return to camp. As expected, the whole thing had been pretty easy. Assuming they avoided any major disasters on the way back, they were basically golden. Stick still in Heroneye's jaw, she gave a wordless nod of acknowledgement and led the others back to camp.

Upon arriving in camp, Heroneye padded up to the medicine cat apprentice to deposit her cobweb-covered stick with a respectful dip of her head. She hoped it was a sufficient amount, considering how vital it was in healing. But, well, the stick was already basically at its carrying capacity, so there was not much else to be done.

Purring for a moment at Marigoldpaw’s clumsiness, Brokenstream began to claw gingerly at some of the moss that was settled on the rocks on the shallow parts of the stream. How embarrassing would it be if he failed his own lesson he had given the apprentice? Anyways…

Padding up to Irisfrost, Larkwing listens as Berrypaw explains coltsfoot and where to find it. Flicking an ear in acknowledgement, she nods and the two wait a moment for Fadingstar... who doesn't show up.

"I think it'll be best if we begin looking without Fadingstar," Larkwing says, glancing over to Irisfrost, "he might catch up with us later." Following that, Larkwing leads the way into the forest, keeping her nose to the ground and eyes open for the low growing yellow flowers Berrypaw had described.

It isn't long before she finds a flourishing patch of the herb, and Larkwing quickly signals to the other warrior with her tail. "There's a good patch here!" She announces, bending down to pluck a few.

Irisfrost

Irisfrost found Larkwing, and then they waited for Fadingstar. Long minutes passed as she watched cats find their patrolmates and head off; eventually Larkwing broke the silence, suggesting they head off. Nodding, Irisfrost stood up and followed the she-cat out of camp.

As they headed into the territory, Irisfrost kept her eyes on the ground to look for coltsfoot. But it was Larkwing who found a patch first, announcing her find as she plucked a few. Padding over, Irisfrost extracted four of the plants, making sure the leaves were there; between her and Larkwing's collections the patch had been thoroughly harvested. "Let's turn these in to Berrypaw," she suggested. She didn't know much about herbs, but she suspected seven coltsfoot should last RiverClan a while; until they were settled into their normal territory at least.
