Re: SkyClan | Dusk Syndicate Border

Coconutpaw was following, very wary of her surroundings. It scared her. The whole idea that there could be a fight; really the whole idea that Grousestar was allowing his clan to live here. They were fine back at the other territory, why did it matter so much to stay with the other four clans? They had been a peaceful clan beforehand with minimal problems. Here, they were constantly fighting, constantly struggling to live. It was terrible, it only added onto Coconutpaw's anxieties. The tortoiseshell was thankful that her mentor was here though, she knew she could trust him. With her lack of fighting skills, she was definitely going to try to stick close to him if they encountered a Dusk Syndicate patrol. The last patrol didn't end well, the blood scent was fairly fresh, and if you looked closely, you'd see fur. Oh Starclan... They were unpredictable and she only feared the worst. It was obvious because the hints of fear she felt radiated off her pelt and towards the patrol around her.

At her mentors gesture, she padded quickly up to his flank, furthest from the border. They were stopped. Oh Starclan... please don't let them show up... she pleaded mentally, her yellow hues were darting around the dark territory, half expecting a cat to come around the trees. If only she knew the mayhem that was going to occur shortly. Just like her mentor stated, Coconutpaw could clearly smell the terrible scent of the Dusk Syndicate. It made her nose crinkle up and her teeth bare slightly. They smelled horrible. At her mentor’s words, she felt a little at ease, but she knew deep down that was merely false hope. If they attacked them out of nowhere, there was no protecting her. She'd have to put her very little training to use. It'd be good experience, but unlike other apprentices, she was not thrilled about that.

(Ahh I'm sorry I was the first to post ;v; )
The brown tabby stalked through the territory, his companions by his side. They were ordered to go sniff around for clan cats, make sure they knew their place when it came to border lines. In all honesty he didn't care for the new system, borders, rules, they didn't have to follow them, they could do as they pleased. Sadly the commander thought it was...best if they abided by Skyclans rules for now, it made his blood boil. Orion stopped and perked his ears, he could have sworn he heard another cat talking. The fighter turned his golden hues upon his companions and shot them a toothy grin, his eyes lit up with menace and amusement, finally, something he could look forward to. "Smell that? I smell the weak. What's the plan? Wanna attack them? Cuz I really want to." he giggled, his tail lashed as he waited for an answer from his comerads. He wanted that pleasure of ripping apart those clan cats, hearing their cries, it was one of the only pleasures he could find nowadays. Even if they said no, he wasn't going to listen to them, his mind was made up, from what he could tell there was only one, possibly two cats patrolling at the moment, it shouldn't be too hard to kill them.

"Let's do it," Flash replied to Orion. "These Clanners need to know that they aren't all that great!" He unsheathed and flexed his claws, excitement bubbling up. The young tom's tail twitched, his ears were constantly rotating and listening. After a moment, he mewed, "I think the Clan cats are this way." He snickered. "I can't wait to see the looks on their faces as we explode out and rip them to shreds!"

A lithe, white she-cat padded next to Orion, head held high. Once her comrade had paused, she stopped in her tracks as well, parting her jaws to take in any scents. Belladonna was not the happiest cat in the bunch for being ordered to be on a patrol with these dumb toms, but if it pleased her superiors, she would do it without a second thought. Why did they even have to do this patrolling? It wasn't like the Syndicate was known for following the rules. At the sound of Orion's voice, her ears angled themselves towards him, but she kept her gaze forward into the undergrowth, almost looking as though she was ignoring him save for the small acknowledgement of her audits. Bella took in a breath, about to respond, when Flash interrupted her. A low growl rumbled in her throat, but she kept it quiet, lest those SkyClanners heard anything. It wasn't like it would be her growl that would alert them, though; if anything, the meows of her companions would be heard much more easily. "Of course we should attack them. I'm sure Halite—or Boreas, I guess—wouldn't mind. But, Flash," she turned her attention towards him with narrowed eyes, "we won't be able to take them by any sort of surprise if we're noisy."

Belladonna could hardly stand her comrades. Why couldn't she be paired with someone that she actually liked instead of these foolish cats? She sighed and stood up straighter, pushing her annoyance to the back of her mind. Trivial matters like that would do no good in their current situation. "We can't just dive on in without any sort of plan. Underestimating the enemy is stupid. For all we know, they could be lying in wait for us!" she meowed, clipping her words short at the end. She had nearly gotten too loud. Continuing in a lower voice, she added, "How many do you think there are? We can handle less than five, I'm sure, and I doubt this SkyClan's so worried that they'd send that many."

He stabbed his claws into the ground, poking a few holes. "So. This is the patrol. Belladonna, you can take the ones on the left, I can take the ones on the right, and Orion, you can come in from the center and attack them that way," he mewed queitly. "This way, we hit them from all angles. There won't be any way for them to escape." He grinned. "It's perfect!"

Orion looked at the molly that stood beside him and grinned, although she was crabby she was a great fighter, slightly intimidating, but not to him of course. He turned his golden gaze back upon flash and quietly observed and listened to the toms battle plan. Once he finished he looked back at the white molly and lashed his tail "I'd guess about 1-2 but I could be wrong." he said, his eyes half idled, almost looking...bored. He turned his deadpaned face back and flash and let out a sigh, "And why do you plan on having me run right through them? I'd better not be the bait." he growled, his hues flashed with anger, it was the one and only warning he planned on giving the other Tom. The brown tabby let out a sigh and looked around, hoping to spot the clan cats, their stench tickled his nose, made him want to vomit. He hated the way the clan cats smelled, especially Skyclan, they smelled perfect, sweet, like berries and trees, sickingly sweet. Orion dug his claws into the moist earth and snorted, "Anybody else got a plan? We're gonna want more to go off of, a plan B" he stated cooly, all in all his whole group, including himself, held very commanding personalities, all of them wanted to be leader, all of them wanted to order the others around. He'd let them figure it out, but in the end, he knew it was him, he was ahtousand times better than his companions, he just had to prove it to them somehow.

"All right, fine, plan B," Flash muttered. "Someone goes up in the trees and mimics a bird call. They cant resist a bit of extra prey. We lead them into our territory and then attack, keeping the element of surprise and trapping them in the process. They don't know our territory. We have the upper paw."

"I don't think I even know how to mimic a bird," Belladonna sneered, raising an eyebrow at Flash. "That's a dumb idea. We should just stick with our plan A. They're just a few cats, it's not like it's the whole of SkyClan attacking us." Oh, the stupidity of her companions. She almost wished she lived in a Clan! They at least seemed to have more intelligent cats of their side. Flicking her tail in indifference, she gave Orion a sidelong glance. "But hey—do whatever you want, I don't care at all," she growled, directing her statement to both of the cats with her. "I bet they already know we're here already." Belladonna didn't care in the slightest if she provoked either of them and started an argument. They were just so ignorant!

"It's not like these SkyClan cats are stupid enough to go into our territory. Unlike some of us here," she drawled out her last sentence, sending a meaningful glare over at Flash. Maybe what she was doing wasn't all heat-of-the-moment, once a thought came to her mind: she was riling them up, getting them ready to fight these SkyClan cats. If she pumped some adrenaline into them before the battle, then they would do even better during the real thing. That's what she assumed would happen, at least.

"Well, I'm sorry is my plan didn't please you," Flash snarled. He was seriously thinking about calling her Bella. "But guess what? I can make bird calls!" He opened his mouth and let out a sqwak like a crow.

He turned back around and glared at her. "And I'm very intelligent, thank you very much. Much smarter than youwill ever be." He continued to glare at her, his eyes blazing. "And I think you'll soon find that this plan will succeed, and I will be considered better than you."

The grey swirled warrior padded to the front his sharp eyes scanning the area. He narrowed his eyes. Somethings not right. He continued walking though, cowardliness, he thought, is the reason we had to save the clans. He shook his pelt, water dripping from the trees. It seemed like the Dusk Syndicate problem had disappeared.

But, he heard something, a laugh, to one of enjoyment an happiness, but of cruel anger. He turned to Coconutpaw; "Stay behind, there is something here and I don't think it's friendly." He ordered, did he care that he was bossing around cats? No. He was keeping them safe. He sighed and crouched down, getting ready to strike, if needed.

( ;w; sorry jinx we're gonna have to skip your post we gotta wrap this up)

The brown tabby looked over at flash and snorted "How are you even alive right now? Mouse-Brain." he stated, amusement and disbelief evident in his voice. He turned to look at Belladona just in time to see the anger and disbelief twinkle in her eyes. That made him angry, he got paired up with the rudest, stupidest pair of cats in the whole dusk Syndicate, he was pretty sure Boreas was trying to kill him, set him up. Orion let out a growl and stalked forward, upon hearing the clan cats calls he slid out his claws and began to grip the moist earth, now he was ticked off. He let out a snarl and gave them a toothy grin, showing them his pearly whites "How about we just charge in. We don't need a plan, or are you guys to scared, too weak to actually fight them off? That's pretty pathetic mates." he growled as he stalked forward, he didn't want to wait anymore, he wanted to feel his claws dig into something warm, he wanted to hear the cries, the snapping, and the ripping.

The fighter let out a snarl and hopped down from where they were perched, his tail lashing behind him. He gave the Skyclan cats his signature toothy grin, excitement and menace danced in his golden hues "Chicken? Isn't that a little uncalled for? We were just making sure you were ready, it ain't fun to kill clancats if they don't fight back. I want to hear their screams first, see the terror in their eyes once they realize that they won't win." he purred, his words dropped with kindness, sweetness, he loved this, toying with them, it brought him true ecstasy. He turned his ruthless gaze upon coconutpaw and grinned, he took a step forward and laughed, he couldnt wait anymore, he wanted to kill, he needed to kill.

[ we have really got to get this finished, so i am going to have to skip you turtlestrike v.v @AbsurdJinx @starfall @Turtlestrike @The Eye Of The Storm @Suspiciousmindz ]

TURTLESTRIKE'S POST FROM PM: "I'm the mouse-brain?" Flash growled a little too loudly. "You're the mouse-brain for calling me a mouse-brain! Forget the plans. Charge right in!" Without waiting for an answer, he dropped down and ran straight into the path of the Skyclan cats.

"Heard you were looking for someone," he snarled, pelt bristling, eyes gleaming, claws digging furrows in the earth. "Am I the one?"

MY POST FROM PM: "You must have had lots of time alone to perfect that bird noise," Belladonna scoffed, turning to Flash and opening her mouth to snarl another retort when she heard the voice of one of the SkyClan cats. She paused and closed her jaws with a click, claws digging into the dirt to restrain herself as she watched her comrades literally leap into battle. The molly flicked her eyes up towards the sky, muttering a prayer; Dear ancestors, please keep me from clawing them to shreds. "You guys are insane," she growled, placing loads of emphasis on the last word in that sentence. A sigh escaped her mouth, the last normal thing heard from her before she followed Flash and Orion, immediately making her way to the cat nearest to her—the source of the provocation. Boy, did that teasing from him work on Bella. She lowered herself to the ground, pupils dilating, as she glared up at Aspenflash. A low growl emitted from her. One of her less intelligent moves, however, was that she took her focus off of the cat in front of her to reply to what Flash had said. "Of course you're the one, you mousebrain! Who else would they be looking for?" Goodness. She would need all the strength in the world to keep herself from ripping her companions' throats out.

ABSURDJINX'S POST[supposed to go before this]:
Aspenflash took no notice of Jayfall's leaderly comment - as long as the other tom meant no harm by it, Aspenflash couldn't care any less. His main priority was Coconutpaw, and he was sure so was Jayfall's - after all, as warriors they are meant to look after the younger and weaker. Unlike Jayfall who looked ready to pounce, he stood tall in an attempt to strike intimidation into any opponents. His thick, long pelt reinforced with muscle already made him appear larger than average. His yellow-green eyes gleamed with challenge, and his sharp, unsheathed claws drilled into the ground. His tail lashed ferociously - Aspenflash was a tomcat ready for a fight.

He'd taken notice of the faint murmurs and growls, but they echoed in his ears and he failed to pinpoint an exact location. There's about two of them. As far as Aspenflash was aware, the felines who caused the sound were on the Dusk Syndicate side of the border. And that's where his sharp gaze lied... staring, watching, glaring at the other side of the border he oh-so despised. Finally, when his patience was wearing thin, Aspenflash called in a gruff tone, ``Well?`` He stepped forward slightly. ``Show yourselves, or are you too scared?`` His intentions were to tease them to the point of anger, to the point where they could no longer keep themselves hidden, to the point where they were so mad they had control over their actions - a cat driven by anger is predictable as their main aim is simply to inflict pain; thinking is not in the equation. ``C'mon, we're waiting. We've been waiting, actually. I've come to the conclusion that you're rather slow - are you interested in coming out here and proving me otherwise?``

--

My Post:
Coconutpaw looked between Jayfall and Aspenflash. Of course she didn't listen to Jayfall and stuck closely to the mottled tom-cat instead. However, unlike her mentor, she stuck to staying low while he stood high. She'd never be able to face the territory like that, at least not in her mind. The tortoiseshell's yellow hues widened as three cats emerged on the other side of the border, she felt her pelt begin to bristle. Mustering up all her courage, she stood beside Aspenflash, her height only meeting his shoulders at that moment. She stayed absolutely silent. She didn't want a fight to break out, but already her mentor was provoking one and they were obviously looking for one. They were the first Dusk Syndicate cats she'd met. They looked mean. They sounded mean. They must be mean. They were here to fight and Coconutpaw secretly denied the oncoming attack.

She quietly listened to them, her eyes beginning to shine with defiance until one of them looked directly at her. The fear crept back up over her pelt and she felt her legs become weak. Oh please no... I can't fight him! she averted her gaze from Orion and looked at the other two instead. That didn't last long as she stepped a little close to Aspenflash, their fur brushing. It was more of a comfort thing for the apprentice. It didn't last long as her gaze settled on the ground before the other three felines. At least she appeared to be looking at them when she really wasn't, it gave her a more confident looking factor despite the fear radiating off her pelt. She couldn't help it!

--

Absurdjinx's Post
Aspenflash briefly felt his young apprentice step closer to him as the Dusk Syndicate cats made their appearance. He let his tail brush against her in an act of comfort - or, what he hoped to be comforting. He was never really skilled in the art of comforting - In fact, he wasn't very talented in anything `soft`. Once, his energetic daughter told him and his mate a kinda worthless story and then preceded to bound around them. As she did that, he had leaned towards his mate and asked her if their daughter was `okay`. He had been serious, too. A stab of hurt pierced his heart at the memories of his late family, and in that moment, he knew he'd be fighting for everyone he lost.

He took a few moments to size up the opponent. Aspenflash figured he'd be facing the ferocious-looking she-cat before him. Belladonna, the two tomcats had called her. Though they appeared to call her Bella in an attempt to irritate her. She had long legs as he had observed before she crouched, and he figured they could match each others' height. Her thick, rugged fur appeared to be quite the advantage for her - where was her skin? And how would he ever get his claws through those knots? Her dilated eyes glared up at him, enforced with a low growl - that is, until she turned her head to respond to her groupmate.

Aspenflash took a chance. She wasn't paying attention, and he had the advantage. Besides, it was obvious there would be no talking. The Dusk Syndicate were fighters, not peacemakers. Before he could make his move, however, he turned his head in the slightest and flashed Coconutpaw a reassuring smile. And then, he launched himself at Belladonna, his teeth bared in a snarl. His yellow-green eyes flared with hostility, and his unsheathed claws were outstretched. He had aimed for her back, where he hoped he would land heavily and perhaps stun her with his weight.

@AbsurdJinx @starfall @Suspiciousmindz @The Eye Of The Storm @Turtlestrike

The moment she took her attention off of her opponent, Belladonna knew that she had lost the upper hand. She had opened her mouth to spit a retort back at her companions, but then the realization that the battle had just begun hit her. Literally. The air was knocked out of her lungs and she stumbled backwards. Gasping, trying to force oxygen back into her, she was certain that the weight on her would've been unbearable to a regular cat. Luckily, she was not a regular cat. It was certainly more than Belladonna had expected, however, as she had been unable to examine her foe and get a good expectation of what he could do. With a grunt, Bella almost wished she had trained recently. She hadn't had a good battle in moons! The adrenaline beginning to course through her veins was welcomed with a smile, a disturbing grin that bared her teeth and stretched from ear to ear.

All of this happened in a mere matter of seconds. In the next, she began to struggle in his grasp, desperately trying to dislodge the wretched SkyClan warrior. She definitely liked it better when her victim didn't fight back. After a heartbeat of panic, her past battle training forced its way into her head. Letting out of throaty growl, she attempted to crouch down further and force herself to roll over, hoping to knock him off. Her chances were fleeting, as he probably had age on his side, but with a glance over at Orion and the apprentice, a plan wormed its way in and lodged itself in her brain. No matter what happened, Belladonna would make sure that this warrior would not be able to aid the obviously inexperienced feline until they had disposed of her.

(*wheezes* )

The fighter grinned as he saw the molly tru and shrink beside her mentor, amusement glittered within his hues, it enthralled him. He gave the apprentice a toothy grin and flicked his ear "Oh dont worry, I'm only going to kill you. Nothing to be afraid of." he purred, his words dripped with menace as he stood up straight, he liked being taller than the others, made him feel more important. Upon belladona and flash's bickering he snarled and looked at the two "Both of you are acting like a pair of kits...more so than usual. Pull yourselves together and start fighting you fox-hearts!" he spat, in all honesty he wouldn't mind if those two died, it would give his ears a break. Once he saw the apprentices mentor throw himself at the Dusk Syndicate molly he took that chance and threw himself at the apprentice.

Orion let out a shrill laugh and landed a few feet infront of Coconutpaw, his golden hues danced with hatred, bloodthirst, and murderous rage. The brown tabby began to circle around the apprentice, his tail tip flicked back and fourth as he looked the molly over. New, just became an apprentice, weak, that's what he could tell from just looking at the smaller molly. "I hope you don't mind, but I do plan on tearing your skin. Oh but don't worry, I'll make sure you die as slowly as possible." he said, growling at the last word. With a lash of his tail he flung himself at coconutpaw once more, blood pumping through his veins, his heart pounding, he couldn't wait until he could dig his teeth into the scrawny clan cat.

Aspenflash leaped away, leaving Coconutpaw on her own suddenly. As her gaze dragged to follow her mentor in the sudden tussle, she was quickly alerted by the feline pouncing in front of her. Instinctively, she cowered down. Her fluffy fur puffed out to make herself appear bigger despite the tom towering over her. It was useless, she knew this tom was going to ruin her day. Little did the apprentice know, it'd be the fight that changed her life. For the better, of course, not worse. The she-cat hissed. "What's the point of fighting! Even if you win this border skirmish, Skyclan will tear you to shreds in the end!" she defied the fighter, her ears flattening to her skull.

With that, the apprentice felt his weight barrel into her. Without thinking or aiming, she lashed her forepaws out violently. Hissing and spitting in the process of trying to get a blow on the tom. It didn't matter where, she simply had to strike him somewhere, leave a couple scratches somewhere. Her blows were clumsy, obviously due to the lack of training, but her claws were sharp as needles still. Coconutpaw felt the air leave her body for a moment as they hit the ground, assuming that was his intentions. Although her paws didn't stop flailing. She had to try. Had to appear like she wasn't totally useless.

Re: SkyClan | Dusk Syndicate Border

ABSURDJINX'S POST:
Aspenflash was lucky not to of fallen off the wriggling she-cat as she panicked, and he silently thanked StarClan he was given the advantage. He was wrong to figure they could overpower the Dusk Syndicate patrol, however, but that would be proved within a few moments. They didn't fight under a code, unlike himself. He didn't kill, but his opponent - Belladonna - seemed not to care if she murdered him or not.

When she rolled over, Aspenflash coolly avoided tumbling onto his muzzle by using her back to jump off. He was swift to spin around and face the she-cat, and over her shoulder, he saw something that drained the blood from his face. How could he? How could he just launch himself into a battle when he had his apprentice to look after? She didn't know much - they barely shared a single training session. His eyes widened in horror, and he just froze; he was completely still. The Dusk Syndicate cats' moves were too advanced for Coconutpaw - she wasn't ready. Fatherly instinct kicked in and he was driven by the thought, save her, save Coconutpaw. He shouldn't of let her join the patrol.

He ran forward. Aspenflash would have to get past Belladonna to reach Coconutpaw.

MY POST:
With a grunt, the young molly felt the weight on her back grow and suddenly disappear as the tom leaped off. She hopped to her paws, nimble as ever, still retaining a faint sense of dizziness at that attack. Shaking the fuzz out of her mind, Belladonna blanked when she saw the SkyClan warrior run past her; then she realized why. Her recovery was swift—she was adequate at that—but an irritating thought warned her: she would have to train more in defense. A snarl escaped her maw, her optics glittering with hatred for the entirety of SkyClan. "Aw, you didn't forget about me, did you?" she called out in a tone filled to the brim with mock sadness, pouting for a heartbeat before her grin returned. It never reached her eyes. Bella's thought process was completely reworked whenever she flung herself into battle; one could call it inhumane.

Belladonna crouched down and took off after the warrior, reaching out a paw and aiming to dig her claws in either his tail or his back leg—whichever got close enough to her. Admittedly, she was absolutely terrible at defense, but she had speed on her side. If anything, that was enough for her. "You know, I find it kind of amusing," she hissed that word out through her teeth, "that you care so much about a kit!" Belladonna had never grown close to anybody and was never given much of a chance to, so anything that should've caused her instinct to react had no effect on the she-cat.

The brown tabby Tom cocked up one eyebrow and looked down at the apprentice in confusion "Why? Because it's fun deary, why else? I find it amusing listening to your bones crunch and your skin tear. A clan cats shriek is music to my ears." he purred "And sweetie you can keep telling yourself that, the Dusk Syndicate was always superior to you puny clan cats. But fake it till you make it I guess." he shrugged, pleased by the fact that he was able to mkae her shrink down, the fact that he made her curl up in defense, he found it cute. He licked his maw, stood up straight and grinned "Don't you find it exeillerating? Killing other cats, hearing their shrieks, their cries of anguish? It's beautiful....I could make sure you stay alive, if you join us that is. You may have more sense than my comerads." he spat, he didn't mean it though, he still planned on tearing the apprentice apart, he just wanted to add some fun into this battle, add some excitement.

He was barely able to hold back a chuckle once he noticed the apprentice went down kicking...literally. Coconutpaw was able to add a few blows to on his arm and one on the side of his stomach. He let out a his sister and held her down, his pearly whites dangerously close to her neck. But instead of deciding to go for the killing blow Orion bit down hard on her shoulder, waiting to hear the bone crack beneath the pressure. In the corner of his eye he spotted the mollys mentor sprinting his way, a wave of worry washed over him. But that feeling quickly faded away when Belladonna tackled the Tom down, for once he was actually happy that the molly was there. He leaned over, his maw pressing up against the younger ear, "How should I kill you! Quickly? Slowly? Oh! I've got it! I'll kill you, rip you to shreds so no one will even recognize it was you!" he exclaimed, he wanted to smell the fear aminating off of her. He couldn't wait to kill her, watch the light bleed away from her eyes.

Ajax. A muscular feline with a pearly white coat topped off with blazing blue eyes and black paws, tail and ear tufts. He wasn't too short but resting at a medium height. Sometimes he stil towered over the Wimpy dusk syndicate cats he knew or attempted to be sociable with. Now though he was dead silent not a single word. The Tom made catious steps through the field that lead up to the skyclan border. Ears Angeled in the direction of the first scent marker while his nostrils flared up in the wind. If you couldn't protect your borders you don't deserve to have them. Hence the little war they seem to be having. Though none of the fights where massive and death defying it still got exciting to hear from the cats that returned how it went. It was early to be out on patrol; it was necessary, what with the recent fights with the Dusk Syndicate, but it was still early and the chill in the air made it hard to be enthusiastic. The wind tore at a golden tabby's fur as he pushed his way out of camp with his patrol trailing behind. Dread hollowed his belly as he thought of the patrols of the past few sunrises. Each patrol had come home more decimated than the last, and cats had even lost their lives. Still, it was for this same reason that he was determined to show those fox-hearted Dusk Syndicate cats that SkyClan was not to be messed with.

He slowed as he neared the border, signalling to his patrol to do the same with a flick of his tail. His head snapped up when a crow suddenly alighted, cawing out a warning that couldn't have been clearer. He returned his gaze to the undergrowth ahead, narrowing his eyes and parting his jaws to draw in the scents. Just the faintest whiff of intruders sent the fur along his spine prickling; his patro must be down-wind from them. Good. They had the upperhand.

Dropping into a crouch, he crept slowly forward, making sure to watch his steps so he didn't disturb any debris. As he neared, he caught sight of at least three different pelts through the bushes. They were evenly matched; this should make things easier. Determination settling over him, he crept around until he was at the far side of the group. Then, squaring his shoulders, he pushed his way through to confront them. "What are you doing on SkyClan territory?" he growled, his amber eyes cold with fury.

A pair of bright sky-blue orbs scanned their surroundings as the owner, Zotuosy, trailed after the patrol leader. His pearly white fur ruffled as his small figure walked through the wind. Though he wasn’t the biggest or strongest cat in the Dusk Syndicate, though that didn’t make him any less of a fighter. He remained vigilant of any sign of trespassers, ready to attack if necessary. He was glad to be on the patrol since he got to see behind all that happened with the little border battles. He’d become quite interested in the recent fights with Skyclan, and he knew it was probably because the Dusk Syndicate weren’t all that used to sharing. But they’d have to get used to it. He just didn’t like the fact that he may be swarmed with questions from the cats he knew- and especially disliked the fact that cats he didn’t know would be as well.

The tom didn’t like getting his paws dirty and stained with blood, since his pelt was so vulnerable due to it being pure white. When he got the signal from Ajax, he halted, excitement rising in him at the thought of having a border battle. But it was all drained when he saw a crow fly up into air, cawing loudly to the whole world. His ear flicked at the sound of the stick breaking, almost thinking that could’ve been a possible trespasser as well. Then there came a golden tabby rising from the bushes, and the scent was definitely not of his own. But, he recognized it- It was of Skyclan. His eyes went into thin, cold slits and he bared his teeth into a hostile snarl. His fur stood a along his neck as his claws unsheathed. “This is Dusk Syndicate territory, you’re invading.” he hissed, not bothering to wait for the patrol leader to respond.

The morning light was almost blinding to Ashenleaves. Perhaps she was imagining it, by it seemed as the the sun had come closer to earth. Her paws started to turn clammy on the ground making her stutter in her steps. Anticipation nicked at her, making her senses more aware; every crunch of a leaf made her jerk as well as unsheath her claws, waiting for her attacker to strike, only to find that it was with Tansypaw or Sunbreak.

A vile scent came across the rust-gray she-cat the second Sunbreak signalled for them to stop. Her furry pelt stood on end, and butterflies circled in her stomach. As the tom slipped in a well-practiced crouch, Ashenleaves followed suit, trailing him through the under growth to find the Syndicate cats.

"Syndicate territory!" Ashenleaves scoffed in her somewhat of a high-pitched voice, "This belongs to SkyClan rightfully you foxhearts." Though her words forming in a growl were undeniably scary, the small she-cat was no match to her words. She was small, petite. Ashenleaves was muscular though, under all of the fluff, and not being large would help her in the battle that was brewing. The only part of her that was not so frail were her hindlegs. Out of all of her body, her backlash held the most muscle, like most of the cats of her clan.

Ashenleaves flowered at the Syndicate cats, waiting for Sunbreak's call to action. Her lamp-like eyes were full of fury and hatred at the cats before her, though patience mingled with them.

Tansypaw padded in the back of the patrol, having to take more steps than her other clan mates due to her legs not having grown to their full length yet. She was on high alert; her ears perked up and nose in the air as she tasted the wind for any scent of prey. When an unfamiliar scent smacked her in the nose, she blinked, not recognising it in the least bit. When she saw the other SkyClan cats freeze up, ears back, she frowned but did the same. When they neared the scent, the voice of a new cat rang out, startling the apprentice. Intruders! She thought angrily, the fur along her spine bristling as her light, honey-coloured eyes narrowed into slits.

Tansypaw had heard stories of the horrid Dusk Syndicate cats- not all of which were true, but she had the visual that they were evil, hateful cats who didn't believe in StarClan. When the forms of three invaders caught her eye, she knew there'd be trouble. Bristling, she replied to the white furred tomcat. "Your territory? Check again, invader. Stay on your side, or you'll regret it." She snapped hatefully. What on earth gives them the idea that they can just strut right through without a care in the world? Mousebrains. Tansypaw thought with a disappointed shake of her head. She turned to Sunbreak, waiting for his decision on how to handle this. She'd never been in a real fight before, and she realised now that she hadn't had enough training to take one of the Dusk Syndicate on. But no matter- she doubted that it'd come to that. And either way, she'd be fine. Tansypaw had just been taught some new defensive movies that surely would come in handy. If she remembered them.

Re: SkyClan | Dusk Syndicate Border

SkyClan cats. Here? Now? For the majority of the time they had moved in-- across the border-- Arrow had never seen a SkyClan cat. And yet now, they were everywhere. It was like the whole place was crawling with them. His expression darkened and brown tail lashed furiously. There was no way he was going to allow this to happen. Something was going to have to be done. He glanced over at the other cats with him-- while Arrow couldn't think of their names at the moment, he was sure that like most cats in the Syndicate, they would be out for blood. Out to kill. To maim. To injure any way they could, and he would be trying to stay out of it. Just get them off, that was the objective here. Killing was not always necessary, though he didn't expect that to enter their minds. Why did they feel like they always had to kill? It didn't make sense to the tom. And yet, he was one of them now-- the very cats that he accused of being killers, and he was a part of them. One of the SkyClan cats looked young, like an apprentice-- he hoped he wouldn't have to fight that one. It was one thing to go up against a cat with the same level of experience. It was another to brutally murder a cat who was just learning. He would have wanted mercy if it were him. But Arrow was an experienced fighter, and not someone to be messed with. These cats were going to learn that very quickly if they believed otherwise. Very, very quickly. @Cloudy @Bright @meraki @Marble @vantrums

Ajax had expected the snooty skyclan cats to react like that, not the patrol he was on in all honesty. It didn't make sense for these cats bickered with anger, why not like he did? It certainly got cats mad at him, which meant objective reached. The Tom stepped in the way of the other Dusk syndicate cats, he lead this patrol and he was goingto do it right with no exceptions. The skyclan cats would deliver the first blow while they laid back defensivly. He had a tactic in mind. "Skyclan territory? Well that's awful unfortunate isn't it? Cause last time I checked this was ours. Zotuosy I believe your right. You may need to check your facts skyclanners" the feline paused for a good moment. He turned back to his patrol looking at arrow than too Zotuosy. "I guess they are as dumb as they say" he added before turning back to face the skyclan cats in front of him. He wasn't at all afraid of them lashing out due to his side comment. In fact he wanted to welcome it.Something snooty, rude and maybe just the right bit of enthusiasm. That will get them irked. he thought. Getting them mad was the first step to a successful battle. So Ajax seated himself, curling his tail around his black paws as his black tail blended in. His expression was a soft smile, a face of completely calm. Not a tinge of frustration or stress. "I hope you don't mind. My patrol and I we are very concerned, to save the trouble perhaps you should get off our territory. It will save some bloodshed" he added briskly tucking his paws under his tail, settling down. For a fact he knew this was inbetween both borders but was actually a bit closer to skyclan territory. Good. That will handle the injustice aspect. His ice cold eyes matched the hard stare he was receiving from a golden warrior ahead of him. He was pretty big and it was obviously taller than Ajax. He was the main worry. He others didn't seem to catch his eye all to much. The smaller one was a trainee or a young young warrior while the other she cat must've been a warrior.

Heat flared beneath Sunbreak's pelt when he realized the inkling of truth in the Syndicate cats' words. They weren't on SkyClan land--but neither were they on Syndicate land as they suggested. Still, they were too close to the border for comfort, and he wanted to make sure they were seen off.

He curled his lips at the snarky remarks the patrol leader made to his campmates. Cocky, isn't he? Making comments like that and playing coy. He's certainly quite confident...

In a brief moment of clarity, the tabby warrior realized what the other was playing at. He wanted them to attack first. Well, he won't get the satiafaction. With a knowing flick of his whiskers, he turned back to his clanmates, making sure the tip of his tail whisked across the tom's nose. "He's right," he agreed, "No need to shed blood over a useless strip of land. If these kittypets wish to squabble over it, that's their business." A step back in the direction of the Syndicate patrol, and he dipped his head in mock respect. "It's truly thoughtful of you to consider other... softer resolutions."

He blinked, confused at why Ajax wasn’t speaking as if he was about to attack the golden tom, which he assumed was their patrol leader. He was talking as if he himself was from Skyclan and trying to make peace. There wouldn’t have been an exception for him. The other cats were just too close to the territory for his comfort. He didn’t care if they were only on the border- he wanted them gone. But how Ajax was speaking, that wasn’t right- He was on to something. But what? Was he trying to get the Skyclan patrol angry? To get them to attack? Actually- that wasn’t such a bad idea. He almost opened his mouth to speak again, but stopped himself at the thought that it’d be best to let Ajax do what he needed to.

But what Sunbreak said next was what got his fur standing on edge and made his anger rise more. Kittypets.. Softer..? I’m no kittypet! I’ll show you soft! He thought to himself, growling under his breath. He had to restrain himself and let Ajax handle this. Maybe he’ll come back with another mocking remark, or something else. But he didn’t know. He’ll decide what to do next. He took a look at all the other patrol members from Skyclan. He’d say they looked pretty easy- only an apprentice and a warrior that didn’t seem all that difficult to take on. If- Once they got into a fight, he guessed the two leaders would fight since that’s just what always happens, so all he’d have to do was choose any of the rest. How boring.

Ashenleaves stifled a laugh towards Zotuosy. "Have we gotten under your fur?" she taunted. The she-cat could see Sunbreak's plan; make then attack first, make them responsible for their inevitable pain of the battle to come. Ashenleaves thought for a moment on what to say; the she-cat normally never said anything harsh to another cat, it wasn't her nature. But now, they had hurt her clanmates-- killed some of them too-- she couldn't let them get away without something horrible to nag at them. "Kittypets!" Ashenleaves hissed at Zotuosy, "Twoleg lover!"

The warrior stopped at that, and glared at Zotuosy with a smirk covering her face. Ashenleaves could think of many more terms that she would have liked to chant at Zotuosy, though the rust-gray she-cat figured it would be best to not say it in front of Tansypaw, considering she was so young. Ashenleaves glanced over at Sunbreak. "Did I go too far?" she hissed quietly in his ear.

Re: SkyClan | Dusk Syndicate Border

Arrow's expression changed as he glared at the SkyClan cats. By now he was just waiting for the order to attack. Honestly he would have preferred the more peaceful alternative-- maybe they should just walk away? But no, this was their home. They had been here longer then SkyClan. And, while Arrow was not a fan of the foreigners, he wasn't one to start unnecessary wars. If they were to attack, there was a good chance that one or more of the cats might not make it out alive. His eyes flashed again, but he still didn't speak. Maybe we should just...go? He thought, glancing at the younger cat again. His hues softened a little, but he remained standing still. If he were to run now, it would probably be considered a sign of weakness. And weak cats were not allowed to stay-- alive-- in the Dusk Syndicate. Meaning Arrow was going to have to do this, despite not really wanting to. He glanced over at-- Ajax? Was that the leader of the patrol's name? The brown tabby was beginning to wish he'd never come, though it wasn't like he had much of a choice. Saying no could have resulted in getting himself hurt... either badly or not, he wasn't quite sure which one. It would all depend on how severely he messed this up. But he was still hoping that even if worst came to worst, they wouldn't have to fight these cats. After all, they were probably skilled fighters themselves. And, while Arrow was a pretty good fighter-- he wasn't an expert and he certainly wasn't the best. The uncomfortable thing was realizing that he might end up killing the smaller cat in front of him. Apprentices, he believed they were called. Arrow had met some Clan cats before, and not all of them were bad... though he didn't like the sound of their lifestyle. No, as harsh as it might seem, the Dusk Syndicate was his home and it was too late to leave. He kept silent, though his tail was lashing furiously and showing his aggravation at the names the Clan cats were calling him and the other two.

With all the taunts being shouted back and fourth, Tansypaw found it amazing that neither Sunbreak nor the Dusk Syndicate patrol's leader were losing their cool. But with the hatefulness coming from her other clanmate as well as the two other Dusk Syndicate cats, she had a feeling that her suspicions of a fight were to come true in a matter of minutes. She didn't want to fight-not really, but these cats were far too close to the border, and by their tone of tongue- weren't trying to avoid a fight. Tansypaw had heard of the stores from recent patrols, how some had even ended up dead. She looked from her clan mates, to the Dusk Syndicate cats, and to herself. The cats who ended up dead died at their claws, she thought, bitter adrenaline rushing through every one of her vains. She knew deep down that she had likelier odds of adding on to the list of the dead than the others, but she pushed that away and tried to focus on being mad. Butterflies flew in her stomach- and not the same kind that flutter when excited but nervous, such as for her apprentice ceremony. No, these were not good butterflies. They had razor sharp wings that slit her insides during every flap. But Tansypaw was not the sort to run away and leave her friends to fight, outnumbered. No- she'd stay and fight through it, tooth and claw. Her eyes looked at the Dusk Syndicate cats. "We don't want to fight. Just stay away from our territory. We were kind enough to share borders with you, now you should probably follow those rules and stay on your side. Patrols sent out by your leader killed several of our cats during patrols of their own. We have a right to be hostile." She meowed sensibly. But she knew she'd likely be ignored- no one would listen to apprentice. Never.

Ajax snorted at the harsh words form the golden Tom. He wrapped his tail gently around his paws. "Yes. We are indeed kittypet lovers. In fact we make these kittypets feed us and we don't really have to hunt all the time. It makes life easier while you choose to complain about how hard your life is!" he meows with a small smile played on his lips. "anyways, you wouldn't want to prove your strength agaisnt kittypets. I mean. We'd be glad to unless your too afraid" meows Ajax tilting his head to the side and cocking an eyebrow arogantly at him. Truthfully wasn't really his strongest come back but it was out there in dead air. Silencing the cats for a few moments. Than he turned to see the smaller she cat. He smirked. "Dear, we only barely tolerate you. Moving your group of kits over here wasn't agreed on. Besides moving next to us kittypets was your choice So suffer the consequences" he said with a rather proud smugness to the last comment. This was all true, unless Ajax had been gone and a secret agreement had been made between the leaders. He didn't think so. If so it was unlikely to be brought up. he than got to his paws sliding up to ashenleaves, looking her over for a moment. "Look at you! Big and tough. Why don't you go ahead and price it on a kittypet?" he asked with a smirk. He flicked his tail towards zotusy. "Go ahead prove your words" he snickered walking around her before coming back in front of his patrol. This fight wasn't even heated yet. He wanted it to be. If it didn't happen soon he would lash out and get brutal. Because how he had to smooth talk and try to get under the fur of the most hot headed warrior there. The small one seemed sweet trying to stick up for what she believed in and he guessed she would run. The golden Tom would come for him. Good. Ajax was crazy to think maybe he shoudk actually nick the warrior on the ear to get it going. [ ALARM! Must go fast!! I can make Ajax hit sunbreak so we can finish this TODAY ]

Zotuosy smirked at the tom’s words and comebacks to the patrol, though his eyes in the glare he shot at the other side said he just wanted to attack already. He was ready for Ashenleaves to attack if Ajax had gotten under her fur. He was betting on himself to be the winner, though he wasn’t sure if he’d want to kill her. He didn’t kill in a fight if not needed- unlike most of the cats from DS. So, he most likely wouldn’t do that even if he was capable of doing so. His ear twitched and eyes narrowed- shooting a cold glare at the she-cat. His claws unsheathed and sheathed back a few times before keeping them dug into the ground. He didn’t care who’d start the fight, but he’d finish it- and he’ll make sure to. Though his eyes flickered over to-who he thought looked like an apprentice, when she spoke. Though, he quickly averted his glare back to Ashenleaves, “Are you going to do something, or represent your clan by sitting there like the lazy, snotty cat you are?” He figured she’d be one of the ‘all-bark-and-no-bite’ kind of cats by now- especially if she wasn’t to attack soon. She shouldn’t be speaking at all if her own words were just too large compared to what she’d be willing to tackle. Now he stood waiting, fur bristling, claws unsheathed, teeth bared and ready for whatever Ashen had. He didn't want to be disappointed, so was expecting at least something from her.
[yes, we have to hurry and get this done !!]

The fur along Sunbreak's flanks rippled and he let out a hiss as he stepped to block Tansypaw. She's an apprentice, she had no business in this battle against such cruel cats. Still, he had led them here and it was his decision to bring her along, meaning it was on him to protect her.

His eyes tracked the white tom as he edged around his patrol, watching him to see where the best place to strike would be. Strike to cripple, make the battle shorter. Think about Tansypaw. He repeated the last sentence over a couple more times while he waited for Ajax to stop. As soon as he settled at the lead of the patrol, he dropped into a crouch and leaped for him with claws outstretched. If you seriously hurt the leader of the patrol first, surely the others would run before anyone was killed?

(( Short reply to make this quicker. ))

Ajax smiled when he saw what effect his words had made. He grinned smugly at everyone while they all stared. Than suddnely a flash of golden fur and he felt the weight of paws on his chest. Ajax yowled the words out before he went down "ATTACK!" he screeched in anger as he put his paws out to defend himself as he hit the ground and rolled over wigt he warrior

Sunbreak rolled over with the pearly tom, claws snaring in his fur. Perhaps his claws weren't as sharp as other's but they were still curved enough to hook into fur. The yowl sent his ears ringing, disorienting him a bit, but he still had the wherewithal to snap in the direction of his opponent. Maybe he'd get lucky and hit.

Zotuosy didn't hesitate at all at Ajax’s words, and did exactly as he was told. Gladly. He lunged himself to the Skyclan she-cat whom he had his eyes on before, her seemingly the only one left to fight other than the apprentice-who he obviously would have no interest in fighting at all. His claws fully unsheathed, pearly white teeth bared, adrenaline pumping throughout his body, he was ready for whatever she had and what she'd bring on him.

Ashenleaves' nostrils flared as Zotuosy lunged. The she-cat lunged into the air, her mouth forming a snarl, and her teeth were bared in hatred. The SkyClanner had not expected for the fighter to attack so deftly, and as she launched herself in attempts to all over Zotuosy's head, her hind quaters were hit by the cat's sharp claws. Ashenleaves was catapulted to the ground, hitting with such force that her mind went blank for a momment. Once she woke, the rust-grey she-cat wobbled away from the fighter. Again, Ashenleaves launched herself into the air, and as she started to descend, she poised her paws, claws extended, at Zotuosy's back.

Once both him and the sun coloured warrior skid to a hault next to the dead bushes lining the strip of land between the da and Skyclan. He felt his claws prickly his skin and draw little blobs if blood. He squirmed neaneath him taking his claws down the toms shoulders, he than drove his hind legs into his belly trying to pry him off "Good job! You have started a war!" he yowled between gasps as he wriggled madly under his body

He smirked at the feeling of his own claws successfully landing a blow at the other’s hind quarters. As Ashenleaves made an attack to Zotuosy’s back, it felt a little like everything was in slow motion for a moment. It wasn't like he hadn't been in a fight before, he was just excited for this one. She seemed to react rather quickly. He whipped around as swiftly as he could with with grunt, only to have been pinned with her claws raking against his side. He hissed in pain, raising his back leg to rake her belly so he could escape her grasp.
