Her first gathering... good it was stressful. There were so many cats here, all four clans gathered at once. As the lithe apprentice padded through the bunch of cats she tried not to get trampled under any large cats' paws. She was wondering where half of the deputies were, but anyway, she was sure they were just late, or something.

She let her light green gaze rest on her leader for a moment... and padded right into another cat. The smell of another clan oozed over her as she quickly backed, almost bumping into another cat. "Sorr- My apologies!" she mewed quickly, while rubbing her nose slightly, which was the first body part to make contact with the other cat. "I didn't... see you there"

With her yellow-amber gaze flickering over the gathered cats, the large molly padded among the other cats. She wasn't usually looking for conversation with others, especially with other clans, but it was a gathering, so what other things would she do. Sighing she turned to look away from her own clan-mates, and searched for someone... at least half-interesting. Thought the other clans seemed to disappoint her in her seek for a conversation partner.

Ah, another day, another gathering... well, another MOON, another gathering, since there wasn't a gathering every day now was it. Shrugging the russet tom grinned for himself. All the more reason to talk with others, maybe make a new friend or two, or three or four, why not five, one could never have too many, right?. Smiling for himself he picked out a cat from the bunch and strolled up o them. "Greeeeetings!" he mewed and poped down beside the cat. "How lovely to meeting you here"

High Rank Announcement [#hrannouncement]

Shadestrom

Gatherings. Weren't those fun. Well no. Not if you were forced to sit and make boring small talk with the same four cats, again and again, all the time, while listening to the leader shout out names, boring news, and occasionally get into a bicker over the other clans being so soft and all. Before he became deputy he had wanted nothing but to be special, in a good way, be seen as beyond what his traitor-parents had been, and that cats wouldn't only remember him by his heritage. He had wanted to stand out, and the best way had been to become deputy, of course, leader if he could stay alive (and on Dawnstar's good side, which probably was the harder part) for long enough. And he still enjoyed it, he didn't enjoy having to deal with annoying cats on the patrols, or cats treating with aggravation just because he had to place them on one. They should take the patrol as an opportunity to prove their worth like he had done in the past, and they should be glad they didn't have to assign them themselves.

Leaping up beside Bunnyfang he was gland he hadn't been the last to arrive, since neither the Riverclan deputy nor the annoyance from Thunderclan were here, but when he glanced up Dogbark was sitting with the leaders, in the place where Aspenstar should be. That was new. And unusual for a leader to die so quickly, usually each leader had more around a year to rule their clan, but Aspenstar had apparently been weak enough to fall in mere moons. She could also just be so sick Doggo had to take over for a bit. Shadestorm wasn't quite sure what option he'd prefer, a clan without a leader was weaker, but Dogstar would be much more annoying to have to deal with than Aspenstar had seemed to be.

He also glanced around for the Riverclan deputy, but she seemed to also not be around at all. Good to make Riverclan weaker and distracted to help the fox-plan succeed, but it also meant he could be stuck with Wolffang kinda one-on-one, which seemed boring. Not bothering to even try to make conversation with the bunny, he settled down in his usual place and waited for the gathering to start for real.

Yarrowshade despised being predictable. So instead of saying anything she huffed and, unintentionally in the process, sneezed very cutely. Which made her extremely angry and embarrassed. Villains aren't supposed to sneeze like kittens! Don't say anything, don't say anything...

The pale tabby marched into the clearing, veryyyyy late. She saw her mentor talking to some fishcat and sidled up to them. Ew. It looked like they were flirting. The young cat made a face, sticking her tongue out and wrinkling her nose. "HI!" She said loudly, squeezing between them and smiling cheesily. "Are you two done flirting yet? I think I just vomited in my mouth a little." Smiling a fake grin at the Fishcat, she looked at her. Nope. Her mentor was NOT going to embarrass her like that.

At the other she-cat's next question, she giggled sardonically. "Oh, silly fishy. We ARE all mean! In fact, if this wasn't a Gathering, we would probably rip your fur off and bring it to Dawnstar. Tee hee!"

Respect? Ew. This cat sounded like an elder. Daintypaw made her patented disgusted face, scrunched nose, screwed shut eyes, tongue out, and snorted. "Wellll I'm just saying, the teasing and giggling isn't very respectful, now is it? You should be a stiff and ask him how the weather is, if ya wanna be respectful, ma'am." She stood up, and sat right in front of her mentor, defiantly smirking up at the snarky fishcat.

"And excuse me miss, but you look angry. Attack me, if you want to let your anger out. Oh wait... that wouldn't be very respectful, would it?" She giggled gleefully. It was fun. To antagonize fishies.

The she cat crept to the gathering, the crowd was a bit bigger then she would have thought it to be, which was fairly interesting, she glanced around with a mild curiosity that quickly was deflated as her interest in the gathering lessened, she crept over to sit down near the edge of the area, she was aware of many cats talking to each other but didn’t pay too much attention to that. She was only here for the gathering, she took a moment of her time to relax a bit and try to observe what was happening.

Re: January Gathering

High Rank Announcement [#hrannouncement]

There was nothing exciting going on, nothing at all. Or at least that is what Dawnstar had originally thought when she took her seat among the other leaders. Everything changed when Dogbreath arrived with ThunderClan and took a seat on the Seastones beside Fishface and Bunnystar. Dawnstar shocked herself by keeping her cool, doing nothing more than casting an irritated glare before refocusing on the rodents mixing among the fishes, the bunnies, and her own clan. They carried a familar air, one that Dawnstar would have thought they'd lost by now with how many leaders they've gone through.

So pitiful and pathetic ThunderClan has become. She didn't even need to guess what happened to Aspenstar, she was dead. ThunderClan had lost another freaking leader! It pissed Dawnstar off. These cats should be enraged, not sad about this loss. They repeat the same thing over and over and over and over again! The number of leaders ThunderClan has gone through is disturbing, something she thought that even StarClan should be sickened with. Aspenstar literally just became leader and now she was freaking dead. At the rate they were going she doubted Dogbreath would last more than three moons before dying off and being replaced.

Was she really the only one getting sick and tired of the leaders ThunderClan was going through? None of them had deserved their leadership, none of them deserved sitting up here with her and the other two. Sure, Dawnstar had her rivalry with both WindClan and RiverClan, but she held a strange type of respect for both Twilightstar and Kestrelstar. She showed that respect by killing their cats and challenging them whenever she got a chance. They were worthy of ShadowClan's jeers and heinous attention, of meeting them in battle and fighting tooth and claw to settle their differences as was the way of the warrior. She bet if she showed a single claw to ThunderClan they'd roll over, show their belly, and plead for the lives like the kittypets that they were.

Dawnstar scoffed softly to herself, ears barely catching the tail end of what Kestrelstar was saying. The loss of the deputy was the only thing that resonated through her vexation with ThunderClan. Dawnstar didn't give one single dung about the lost deputy, any cat who thought a mere rank decided the strength of a clan could burn in StarClan. Cats come and go, losing her first deputy and medicine cat taught Dawnstar that. If a clan falters or loses strength it was the leader's fault and theirs alone. The leader paid no mind to the strange cat a few warriors had frightened off, and she should be hissing at the cats in her clan who were acting too close and soft with the cats outside of ShadowClan. Alas, she just wanted to end this gathering now.

"ShadowClan hasn't had any tragic deaths, disappearances, or changes in leadership." Dawnstar growled as she spoke out after Kestrelstar. There was no point to remind the clans how strong and great ShadowClan was. It should be a common fact by now. She wanted to get this done and leave this gathering as quickly as possible. "Besides from Sharkpaw, Icepaw, Snowpaw, and Crookedpaw now serving as apprentices, and the twolegs moving out of our territory, ShadowClan has nothing else to announce." The leader finished hastily, sitting back down with a grim frown on her face.

Hazelstorm nodded, her green gaze flicking up to the leaders. Only Kestrelstar had made their announcemnt so far. The warrior lifted her paw pad as a spark of pain jabbed her, hard, and she clenched her teeth tightly ti prevent herself from making noise. A thorn was caught in her pad, and it was stinging painfully.

"Stupid thorn," she muttered. It seemed very shallow.

Bending her head Hazelstorm grasped the thron in her teeth, ignoring the sharp bolt of pain it sent as she pulled the thorn out and tossed it away behind her. The tabby licked her pad. There was no tang of blood upon her tongue. In the dark, she couldn't see her pad very well, but she hoped it wasn't bleeding.

"What if... Aspenstar's dead?" she whispered, setting her paw back on the ground and putting on a mysterious, dark tone. Well, she tried to. "Maybe that's why Dog-whatever-his-name-is is on the leader thing." She nodded in the direction of the leaders.

Shimmerbird glanced over as Hazelstorm pulled out a thorn that was in her pad and gave her a sympathetic smile. Those things could hurt, but luckily it hadn't been wedged in deep enough to get Snakeheart involved in its removal. She reflexively licked both of her own paw pads just to double check that there weren't any thorns in them and gave a little sigh of relief when she found none.

The molly listened to what Hazelstorm was saying and opened her mouth to respond, but she paused when Dawnstar spoke to listen to her announcements. Nothing interesting in ShadowClan is always a good thing for us. Unless Dawnstar gets bored and decides it would be fun to cause chaos... let's just hope that doesn't happen Shimmerbird thought before going back to what she was originally going to say.

"There's no way Aspenstar is dead. She's only been leader for three moons and has nine lives, she's probably just sick like you said and Dogbark had to speak instead." There was absolutely no way another ThunderClan leader had died, right?

Hehe. The taupe tabby just waved cheekily as the fishie left. "Toodles." She hummed softly, scuffling her paws on the ground. She glanced over at Skyclaw. Sorry I scared your girlfriend away, she wanted to say, Maybe now you can find a ShadowClan molly to fawn over, instead of a guppy. Unless you like them soft, which then that says you're on the right track. She wanted to say a bunch of things, but he was still pretty nice t her and she didn't want to mess that up. "Shame. She seemed... sweet." She simply said, turning to frown lightly at her mentor.

She didn't want to piss him off too much, he might tell Dawnstar she was a bad apprentice, and that would be good! Her ears pricked as the familiar scent of a denmate wreathed over her. Vixenpaw. She turned to face the she-cat. Yes! I got it right! That is Vixenpaw. She smiled, part welcoming towards the other cat and partly just because she was proud of herself.

"Well, I need to make sure he's not misbehaving. He's so unruly sometimes." She said with a small chuckle, tipping her head to the side lightly. A soft flush rose to her face at Vixenpaw's last sentence. "Oh... oh... thank you. Even if he's not good, I'll still figure it out and become a warrior somehow. Even if I have to learn everything myself."

In all honesty, she hardly knew Skyclaw. Maybe she was being unfair, but she did have to scare some guppy away, he was getting too friendly anyhow. She looked over to the guppy that had stormed away. And then her gaze followed her mentor who also left. Mint colored eyes narrowed in thought. Both leaving. Maybe they were going to meet up and have another chat.

She sure hoped not. Even if he couldn't handle being insulted by an apprentice, he was her mentor, and his reputation tied into her own. Also, she knew that he was a nice cat, and nice cats did stupid things sometimes. Like be nice to flirty guppies.

Lucky for her, she wasn't a nice cat.

**Elmshadow of Shadowclan**
[OPEN]

Dawnstar's voice switched Elmshadow's attention and he watched her with an unchanging expression. Her first words were a clear dig at the other clans. If the other clans didn't already know that Shadowclan was stronger than them then it'd be their own loss; Dawnstar had earned the right to throw jest as she saw fit with the work she put into strengthening Shadowclan, more than he could say for the entirety of Thunderclan. His green gaze broke only for a moment as he bowed his head slightly at the end of Dawnstar's concise report.

**Sunsetpaw of Shadowclan**
[OPEN]

The young apprentice shifted her paws uncomfortably as Dawnstar made her report. She was split with a rising discomfort as her feelings of loyalty felt divided. She respected Dawnstar and her father but that loyalty felt somehow a betrayal to her mother, though she couldn't place how that made sense. Listening to Dawnstar make her announcements, her thoughts led her to the first tangible reason. Kestrelstar had announced some random queen's new litter of kits, why did Dawnstar not care enough about Goldenstep and her new litter? At the same time, Sunsetpaw didn't understand the point of Kestrelstar announcing new kits. Obviously the new queen wasn't there and a queen popping out a litter of kits wasn't an achievement, it happened all the time. So she kept her mouth shut and her eyes expressionless as she watched the leaders.

Wolfclaw listened to Dawnstar, flicking his tail in annoyance with the cat. Although he disliked her, he was a bit too apathetic to care.

It took every ounce of energy in her body to not scream in frustration at the leader of a bunch of bloodthirsty rats. Robinfeather took in a deep breath, knowing not to break the truce, even if she wanted Dawnstar to gain a new scar for every cat that had been killed. She dug her claws against the cold ground, feeling the grass and sand against her claws.

"And who knows, maybe they're both just so old their joints have gotten stuck," the molly teased, snorting softly in amusement at her own joke.

@NinjaBloss @Leafspeaker @Clock Dragonshifter

Vixenpaw let out a soft laugh at Daintypaw's sarcasm when the guppy left, but was slightly surprised when Skyclaw left as well. Wow, ShadowClan warriors really were lacking these days, he had just let an apprentice push him around. "You can always ask Dawnstar for a new mentor if he doesn't work out. Trust me, she would appreciate you taking the initiative much more than learning nothing from a warrior who's supposed to be teaching you," the tabby said as she listened to said leader's announcements idly. Nothing interesting had happened and Dawnstar said as much which was to be expected.

"I should be taking my assessment soon, but even after I'm a warrior I wouldn't mind giving you some tips. You clearly have the determination and drive to become a wonderful warrior, ShadowClan needs more cats like you." Was Vixenpaw being manipulative? Perhaps. But it was only because she saw something in Daintypaw and believed the young apprentice could become a formidable warrior and she would help her get there, then in the future they would be on the same side. She couldn't really lose unless Daintypaw decided to turn traitor or something, but in that case the molly would put her down herself.

Daintypaw was surprised to see that Vixenpaw found her attitude amusing. Usually older cats got all ticked off with her gall. But it was good to now that not all older cats were as splenetic as the ones she had interacted with had been. A new mentor sounded nice. But she still had yet to take this one on a test drive yet, so it was yet to be seen if his weakness and kindness was just a facade.

Plus, she liked being called a rascal, and she was sure most warriors wouldn't call her that.

But she just shrugged. "It'll be a good plan to fall back on. But I think I'm good right now, this one usually lets me get away with stuff. Plus, no rules about asking a different warrior to teach you something, right?" She kind of wanted to be trained by Shadestorm or Dawnstar. But Dawnstar only trained those with great potential (well... most of them. Daintypaw wasn't her apprentice yet!) And Shadestorm kind of seemed like a grump.

When Vixenpaw paused to listen to Dawnstar's report, Daintypaw, with a quick glance to see how the older cat was sitting, sat and posed just like Vixenpaw- subtly, of course. It needed to look like it was normal for her to do, sitting like an almost-warrior. Once Vixenpaw looked back to her, Daintypaw quickly relaxed into a more 'Daintypaw-like' stance.

"Oh, cool. " She grinned at the other molly's words. "Whose your mentor?" She paused a minute, before continuing anyways. "Awesome! I'm looking forward to learning from you." Okay. Maybe Vixenpaw was being dramatic. 'I'm not THAT wonderful, are I?' She paused, then grinned. 'Who am I kidding? I AM pretty great.'

"Well, thank you. I'll do my best to be the bestest warrior, I promise!"

High Rank Announcement [#hrannouncement]

~ WOLFFANG ~

ShadowClan was the next to arrive. Wolffang glowered at Dawnstar. He really did not like ShadowClan, especially after all the disgrace they'd caused WindClan. They'd made WindClan seem weak and pathetic, and had kept pushing them around. His lip curled. How much he wanted to sink his claws into a ShadowClan pelt again. It had been much, much too long. But now was the time for the Gathering, so he shouldn't attack anyone. Even a newborn kit knew that. Wolffang just had to resolve to fixing his gaze elsewhere. Shadestorm, despite being the ShadowClan deputy, hadn't appeared yet. Three Clans here and Wolffang was all alone in the deputy spot. He snorted. A familiar forest-scented breeze came his way and he knew that ThunderClan was arriving. The tom turned his head to see Aspenstar come in and... oh. Aspenstar wasn't there. Instead, it was Dogbark, the ThunderClan deputy. Where was Aspenstar? Had she died, or was her deputy just temporarily taking over? He didn't know, but as Dogbark leaped up onto the rock, he knew that he'd probably be alone in the deputy spot. That wasn't the end of the world. After all, it would show that while the other Clans kept going through high ranks, WindClan remained strong. Wolffang had no idea when Twilightstar would boot him from the rank, but... he hoped it wasn't anytime soon. After all, he had to prove to WindClan that he was actually a good deputy. No more break-downs or paranoia. He had to show them that he was truly strong and that he was doing better. He had to show them through actions, not sweet words.

Kestrelstar was beginning his announcements. Wolffang glanced up at him as he spoke. A couple kits made apprentices, a couple apprentices made warriors, and a queen who had given birth to five kits. Wow, that was a lot of kits for one litter, but Wolffang wasn't one to judge. A ThunderClan kit had joined RiverClan - he wondered what Dogbark would think of that. And a warrior had died to save an apprentice. An honorable sacrifice; even though Wolffang didn't care much for the other Clans, he briefly bowed his head in respect for Stormtalon. Okay, so Splashleap had stepped down. She wasn't bad... for a RiverClan cat... so he was slightly glad that she hadn't died, even though either way it wouldn't have mattered much to him. Okay, so that was RiverClan's news.

Oh, there was Shadestorm. Out of all the deputies to be around, why Shadestorm? Wolffang still had a score that he hadn't yet settled with the dark gray tabby. Shadestorm didn't offer him much of a look, so Wolffang didn't, either. It was clear that neither of them wanted much to do with each other. Luckily, Shadestorm wasn't like Finchwhisker: he wouldn't keep antagonizing him into a fit of annoyance. He knew when to keep his mouth shut. Dawnstar spoke now, and there wasn't anything interesting going on in ShadowClan. Just some new apprentices, and Twolegs who had left their territory alone. It would've been great if the Twolegs perhaps kidnapped some of ShadowClan's cats and maybe drove them out, but oh well, WindClan wasn't so lucky. And if ShadowClan moved out, Wolffang wouldn't get a chance to sink his claws into their fur. Actually, WindClan wouldn't get a chance to prove to ShadowClan that they were strong and more than just bunnies.

Vixenpaw kept one ear swiveled towards the leaders as Daintypaw spoke in case Bunnystar or Dogstink began their announcement, but kept her eyes focused on the other apprentice as they spoke. "Yes, you should definitely give him a chance, but having a back up plan is always good. If your first plan fails and you don't have a back up then you're in hot water. My mentor is Orchidmoon. She trained me well, but we haven't interacted in a little while since I'm basically a warrior, it's just been my decision not to get my assessment yet because I want to make sure I'm prepared."

Honestly, she had liked Orchidmoon and was quite dissapointed when the warrior had disappeared without a trace. Such was life though, and with the twolegs running rampant on the territory at the time Vixenpaw hadn't felt the need to get assigned a new mentor. She had completed all of her training, the only reason she was waiting was to make sure she was absolutely ready. Going in overconfident and unprepared was not something the apprentice would do, Dawnstar would hate that.

"Oh, and here's another tip, always pay attention to politics and information. A lot of ShadowClan cats are big brutes who think with muscle and no brain, and a lot of other cats think that's what Dawnstar is like, but it's not. The only reason she's so successful is because she gathers information and knows when and where to strike, and where not to make enemies. I mean, all the Clans talk about how much they hate her, yet they haven't banded together to take her down. It's not a coincidence, trust me. And gaining favor with the right cats will boost your own status and make you better. Perhaps if you do well in the next moon I will give you some more advice," she purred, giving Daintypaw a half smile. It wasn't sincere, but it wasn't fake either. It was sort of a 'you have to prove yourself if you want my attention' thing. And hopefully the young apprentice would not disappoint her. "Things rarely come for free in this life after all."

Brightfern sat alone. Listening to the other cats gossip, and chatter until. "yowl" the Riverclan leader went. They Leader's went on, and on talking about clan stuff. But Brightfern was distracted. She couldn't quite put her paw on it. Something was- off.

Bounceberry had slinked away from the rest of the cats, seeking refuge in a small bush a bit out from the seastones. He waited until he was certain he couldn't be seen before letting out a heavy sigh and lowering his head. Usually he would be fine sitting next to snakeheart or Bracken fire, but the pressure was sitting on him again.

Hazelstorm || she/her

~~~
Hazelstorm grinned, chuckling at Shimmerbird's statement, old joints were stiff (probably) and creaky. Hazelstorm never wanted to get old but she knew it would happen... in a long time in the future.
"How many litters of kits would you want if you did have kits?" she asked, pinning her ears back.
Locustmoon | he/him | ThunderCLan warrior
He had been perfectly content, sitting in his little spot in the bushes, away from everything else. He had been fine, barely being able to hear what the leaders and Dogbark were saying, their voices faint and covered by the mewing of the other cats around him. He had been fine, being alone. No, really. He didnt actually mind it at all. Between strangers crowding him from every side and the loudness of it all, being alone and tucked away from everyone else was a blessing. He much preferred being able to just listen in on everything rather than actually trying to socialize in order to get that information.
As rustling in the bushes a couple fox lengths away caught the tall toms attention, bringing him from and thoughts and instead causing him to focus on whoever or whatever had made the noise. Poking his head through the bushes, Locustmoons eyes landed on...huh. Well, that wasnt expected. At the sight of Bounceberry, his eyes momentarilly widened ever so slightly before returning to normal once again. A quick nod and a tilt of his head to offer a sort of invite to the tom, and he was pulled his head back out of the bushes and away from Bounceberry. He wouldnt be that upset if the medicine cat didnt take him up on the offer, since he probably wouldnt have done the same. But if he did follow, then he better not expect a lively conversation.
Re: January Gathering
The tabby warrior wasn't much of a fan of Gathering, socializing and being polite to the other Clans. Personally, she found a horrific waste of her precious time. So instead she looked for one of the only cat's she could tolerate. Redshrike wasn't here, sadly, and Bounceberry was sitting up- Nope, he was moving. Brackenfire watched him slip away, and narrowed her eyes. What was he doing? Not bothering to hide herself, she padded after him, watching as a Squirrel beat her to him and ended up inviting the medicine cat to do something with simply a nod. Nope. This could be a trap, a trick. Or just a squirrel trying to converse, but she wasn't taking that chance. Sliding under the bush, she squeezed up next to him, trying to keep his hiding place hidden but also trying to give him a little personal space. Flicking his ear with her tail, she smiled lightly. ''Hey...'' He looked stressed. Looking at her friend, she leaned closer, attempting to give him a bit of comfort by brushing her shoulder with his. ''You alright?'' Her voice was soft, so unless that squirrel had really good ears, he wouldn't hear.
Re: January Gathering
High Rank Announcement [#hrannouncement]
Twilightstar was briefly surprised to find Dogbark leaping onto the seastones, where was Aspenstar? That leader was pretty young, had only gotten her lives what felt like moons ago. There wasn't any way that she could have passed right? Twilightstar had a pawful of lives left herself, most of them having been ripped out by a certain revenge-hungry crazy fox. She was getting old, but she was too stubborn to simply retire. All of her lives were for her clan and she'd make sure they'd all be used serving WindClan to the best of her abilities.
ThunderClan, has had terrible luck with their leaders, worst even so knowing that they had earned RiverClan's ire. Twilightstar swung her head in the direction of the ThunderClan's, wordlessly reading their body langue and lifting her ears to hear any snippets of how Aspenstar was doing. She didn't catch anything particularly interesting, but whatever was going on couldn't be good with the way their tails hung low and heads bowed. We're they mourning? Had Aspenstar passed? The thought made molly's tail curl uncomfortably behind her. WindClan wasn't anything close to being the strongest clan in the forest and has always been one of the smallest clans, but they were strong enough to weather whatever comes their way. That was enough for Twilightstar, she was uninterested in proving their strength to everyone at every turn. They were stable and that's all that mattered to her.
The same couldn't be said for ThunderClan, it seemed that after Buckstar's rise and fall, ThunderClan's lacked any sort of stability with their leaders, they come and went so quickly that it was a wonder StarClan wasn't more concerned with it. But then again, StarClan never seemed concerned with anything clan-related in her eyes. How many messy has she had to deal with without even a warning from StarClan? Too many to count. Well, regardless of whatever was going on with ThunderClan she wished them the best. WindClan was in no position this leafbare to offer a paw to any clan right now.
Kestrelstar's announcement touched her ears and had the leader swing her head back around to listen to him. Ah, that explains his mood. He had new apprentices and new warriors, but a loss of one and the retirement and disappearance of his former deputy was enough to put anyone in a funk. Twilightstar had no words to offer the tom, it would be nice if losing ranks and warriors got easier with time, but you don't grow more numb with every rank you need to replace or cat that's sent to StarClan. One did need to learn how to deal with it and push on because life stops for no one. Twilightstar hoped he had better news to share during the next gathering.
Dawnstar spoke next, her announcement was quick and lacked the usual flare and nonsense babble of how strong ShadowClan was. It was difficult to tell if she was agitated about something or not considering she always seemed like she ate a bad piece of crowfood. As the leader finished, the WindClan she-cat had been waiting on Dogbark's announcement, hoping that she could finish last and call an end to the gathering considering WindClan had so little to share. However, as the time drew on the night grew colder with no word from Dogbark, Twilightstar sighed and rose from her position to silently call attention to herself. They'd be here all night if she continued playing the waiting game with ThunderClan.
"All is well WindClan," she announced, "prey is running, and we did have a small issue with an outsider trespassing and asking for herbs." Even though it was handled, she hoped that her cats had learned not to be completely bleeding hearts. "He was dealt with and chased out by Fallownose." The she-cat finished with that, stepping back to give her place up to Dogbark.
