Please remember to mention me!

Hmm, I'm not sure. Why shouldn't the muscle heal correctly? This is kinda unusual so I would suggest having the muscle torn apart for a temporary period of time, while the arthritis can have many causes and may stay for longer.
The cat may walk weirdly, may generically not run, and have the articulation sore and painful. He should be frequently checked up by the med cat and rest for the whole period.

I'm not very good with the English dictionary, so I would kindly suggest you that you research the argument online to get a view on more words about the topic :heartbounce:

Heya! I was wondering how long kits would be able to survive pre-birth if their mother was starving to death? Would they make it 3 weeks on minimal amounts of food, ex. 1/2 of the recommended amount if right after that the mother would gradually work up to the normal quantity? @Wingnettle (this is such a smart idea to have this thread btw!)

Do you mean 3 weeks in her womb? In that case, I would say they have a good chance because the mother's needs increase gradually during the pregnancy, so at first she doesn't really need that much more. However, she would have to increase the amount of food quick enough!
(thanks!)

Hey! I am having a plot, where my kit, Specklekit, has a dream from star clan, saying his mom will die soon, but here's the thing:

The illness has to:

Be non-genetic
Have no signs whatsoever, and not even a med cat can spot it
She has to have had it birth, and it didn't kill her till then
Not catchable, could be a mutation in the gene tho

Honestly there are like 4762829 diseases that can kill a cat in very little time, there's really no need to choose one in particular in this case! Just go with the mom having no symptoms and dying suddenly! (Maybe in her sleep, if you'd like!)

You can, but depending on the problem I may redirect you to your veterinarian to explore the issue deeper and be sure.

Okay! So we got Everest from a friend that wanted to give her away because she peed on stuff. We just thought she did that because they have a ton of little children and sometimes close the door leading to the litterbox. We brought her home and gave her all of the things a cat needs, and she didn't pee on anything fora week. Then, out of the blue, she starts peeing on things. We then thought it was a bladder infection, and used medicine everyday like it says, and she stopped again. But now she pees on things again. Is it a bladder infection, behavioral thing, or something else? I REALLY don't want to get rid of her!

Ok, a few questions first.
1. Age?
2. How many litter boxes? What kind of litter?
3. Where does she pee? Is it always in the same spot?
4. Frequency?
5. Was she diagnosed with an infection? What antibiotic did you use? Was it prescribed by a vet? Had she her exams done for the diagnosis?
6. What's her routine like? Is she an indoor only cat? Do you play with her?
7. Does she have a normal posture/behavior while peeing normally?
8. Any other health-related conditions? Any behavioral issue?

Please refer to this page for the specific symptoms and types of dysarthria: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-...s/syc-20371994

Since the previous condition can be caused by face muscle paralysis, you can link the two issues in one. Try to think of what problems it could give you: the face has A LOT of muscles used daily for a multitude of uses. Expressions, eating, talking. Your cat will have trouble communicating and having interpersonal relationships due to the speaking issue. Hunting may become troublesome if the cat isn't able to give a kill bite at the right time / in the right way, and they may even have trouble catch the prey if the paralysis takes also part of the neck.
What else would you like to know?

okay. Question. Do you think Nettlepaw is semi-accurately presented as a cat with partial facial paralysis. it’s only in one half of their muzzle (not in the neck) and they do have a speech impediment (they have fragmented speech, and struggle to speak at lower volumes at times) but the thing is I’ve portrayed them as a pretty good hunter (I think it’d work, since as it only affects part of their muzzle they can still TECHNICALLY do the killing bite for prey)

You have to think mathematically. If this cat has a defect that makes hunting a bit harder, then the cat must have another good quality to outweight the first flaw and actually be a good hunter. Mayeb you can have them use claws along with the teeth to kill prey. Try to do this: put a fruit in front of you and freeze half of your mouth. Can you still bite at it in a good way? How deep can you go? Try to imagine these things yourself.

They also have. Ultimate Predator. Which makes them a good hunter I think. Also I think I’ve shown them using claws to kill prey as well as their bite……. At some point. I think it was a fish thing

Then you can do it, just don't exaggerate with that skill

so I have a kit who im planning on roleplaying with a malformed jaw and I was wondering 1. if it would be realistic and 2. would this cause any serious complications or put him at risk for death?

forgot to add that his jaw is disfigured into a permanent overbite if that helps
