Marten nodded, and the shivering eased a little. But she tensed, having a cat directly next to her. She was scared of most cats. Actually, she was scared of talking to them and large crowds. But it was still scary just having Fern next to her. @Christmassy Peril

She frowned, Marten was still shaking. She curled around the kit and wrapped her tail around her.

And the shivering came back, full force. Marten was scared. Scared of having to talk to Fern, of being next to her, of messing something up and saying something wrong. @Christmassy Peril

She realized what the shivering was and uncurled from around Marten slightly, Are you scared? she asked worriedly. She didn't mean to scare Marten, if she had, she was sorry for doing so.

Marten hesitated for a moment before nodding. She really didn’t want to be rude, but... she was terrified. She didn’t know if that meant there was something wrong with her or not, but it was strange. And she was honestly glad that Fern wasn’t curled around her anymore. @Christmassy Peril

She frowned, I'm sorry, she said before layung her head on her paws and sighing. The kit was scared of her, great.

Marten put her head down. She started at the ground between her paws, because her head, now on her paws, was facing the ground. She didn't mean to make Fern sad. At least, she thought that's what the sigh meant. @Christmassy Peril

She looked to the kit out of the corner of her eye. She frowned at her looking at the ground and lifted her head. She nudged Marten's head with her nose to make her look up.
