Hopping back into camp on the 3 legs she had to work with while balancing her finds, the small, grey molly quickly dropped of her collected items just outside the medicine cat den before skittering over to Drizzlecloud.

"All uh... Well, I got what I could," she hummed, glancing around nervously at the camp clearing. "Not sure where Drizzlenight and um... Fuzzpaw went off to, but I put the berries and sticks I could find by the den... Lemme know if you need more of those spicy berry thingies. I found a decent bush!"

Giving the medicine cat a crooked smile, Mistheart dipped her head in farewell before giving a brief flick of her tail as she skittered back off towards the warriors den.

Hm. Bringing a child was a bad idea. Just based off of how nervous they're acting, Spiderthroat was sure to get them killed somehow. The deputy was feeling a deep pool of regret, maybe he'd ditch them somehow. Yes. He would ditch Mudhound and Silverpaw and go and see what was going on with the Fisher all by himself.

But than came Bumblestar, ah, he should have seen that coming, really. His shoulders itched. Turning towards the Molly he let out a humm "Yeah. That's probably a good idea, get you to assess just how bad it is and we can come up with a plan." he quietly agreed. Fresh eyes could take a look, and take in the area around as well.

"Wait. If you're comin with me I'd replace Silverpaw...but than it would just be Silverpaw, Poppypaw an' Daylightpaw, that won't work as a patrol." he snorted. He had high hopes for this batch of apprentices...but not that high. Sending three out on a hunting patrol by themselves? It was like sending kits out to go look for twigs to build. Stupidity.

But than came the perfect answer, tottling along on all three legs and blissfully unaware of what that monster was that resided in their old home. Something Spiderthroat himself would like to keep a secret until they know exactly what is happening. But this amazing gift of answers was asking questions. MMh, moment ruined.

"Can't tell you right now...not until more is known which is why me 'n' Bumblestar are goin out to figure out what's to be done." a pause as he gave the molly a side glance. He was on the team of don't tell so no chaos ensues...not yet tell anyways. Not without more information. No use in causing a ruckus if the ruckus ends up leaving...which maybe it did maybe it didn't. Maybe it's worse than what his patrol had origionally seen, how it could get worse? He had no clue.

"I'm on the side of, we will let it spill to both you n' Redhawk when we come back...all of it. Somethin needs to be checked on first. But until than, You'll be takin Silverpaw, Daylightpaw n Poppypaw on that huntin patrol to the territory instead. Congrats you've been promoted to Patrol Leader." he said, his voice stern near the end. Raising it from a hushed tone to a regular volume.

Something about the way Spiderthroat, Bumblestar, and Mudhound were speaking softly to each other had Redhawk's ears angling forward, trying to catch what was being said. A few words picked up but nothing strong. Her yellow-green gaze lingered on them, hoping it had something to do with the deputy deciding to place an apprentice on the patrol to a place that had nearly killed not only her, but him as well. That seemed to be the case when Mudhound was assigned the apprentices to hunt instead, so she would let it lay for now. But she let her gaze linger, fully intending to figure out whatever it was that was being discussed.

Sweeping her eyes now for Fawnsplash and Eaglespirit, neither cat had arrived yet. The reddish-brown hornet would wait for now as she took a seat near the entrance, wondering if they were simply busy. If they didn't show, she'd just go patrol the border by herself.

Strawberrymumble came in behind Mistheart, her creamy maw was packed full of cobwebs and she was quite happy with her haul. Creamy tipped paws carried her oriental form towards the medicine cats den, angular head dipped to gently place the herbs down onto the stone of the dens mouth and she forced her songbird voice to uncage itself and call out, “O-our patrol has returned… we-we brought back the cobwebs and poppies y-you needed.”

The tripod was not impressed by whatever the hell was happening here and highly suspicious of this shaky plan. This whole thing stunk of a fight and danger given that the two high ranks didnt seem to want anyone to know about this and had basically given the apprentices the boot. And sure, the two were good fighters but they were at the end two cats so even to the stupid cat this reeked of stupid.

But fine. Fine! If this killed them at least Bumble-sis would probably come back alive.

So with narrowed eyes and an unimpressed huff the warrior moved on with a "You better tell me everything later! And if you get hurt Im telling on you to Drizzlecloud.

Come on Silverpaw, Daylightpaw and Poppypaw! We're gonna have some fun away from these dummies!"
With that the hornet padded away, sticking their tongue out behind them at the high ranks as they left.

Fawnsplash pricked her ears as Spiderthroat called for patrols. A border patrol with Redhawk and Eaglespirit? Okay. She padded over to Redhawk, dipping her head in greeting. "I'm sorry for taking so long," she mewed. "We should head out now." Eaglespirit would follow, right?

~ Mistheart ~

White paws skittered in eagerly alongside her patrolmate. They had done relatively well considering the season. Dropping of the 3 dried poppy stalks, Mistheart gave the flower remains a quick nudge to show off the rattling bulbs.

"3 poppy stems. I uh... I think the seeds should be fine--at least, they sound ok," she hummed before dipping her head towards Springpaw and skittering back to the warriors den to escape the cold.

Her large black and white frame appeared through the camp's entrance, padding right on up to Springpaw with a beaming smile through her mouthful of flora.

"Here ya are!" Skunkstrike purred as she set the marigold down. "Three whole marigold! And Sprucepaw found a good bit of moss for you!"
