Flyfur could breathe easier now, knowing Lotusheart had been able to help. It was better safe than sorry, though.

"I already checked the lungs. There were a few coughs but the twoleg trash seems to have held some water out. What worries me is the cold." she replied. Padding out quickly, careful not to step on anyone, the huge white cat approached Fawnsqueak. She'd never spoken to him before.
"Umm...uh, Fawnsqueak? We found a kit in the river. Can you, um, check on him?"

He nodded his head, sniffles and sobs threatening to emerge back from the ragged tom but he focused on hiding into her fur, inhaling the sweet smell queens often had. It made him ache for his mother. He remembered the soft smell of fresh rain Silvertear had, the smell that had surrounded him before he died.

"S-s-she was here, with me. I don't know what shes gone. But... I'm alone," He closed his eyes tight, curling little triangular tail around himself. "I thought we'd find dad and it would be okay, we could be a family again, but now I h-have no one!"

Basilkit flopped down on the ground. She wished that she was allowed to learn to swim with the apprentices. She was pretty sure that a few moons ago, there was a mass teaching session for kits. It's not fair, Basilkit mumbled to herself. Why can't I learn to swim too?

He peaked out of her fur, blinking up at the queen with a small nod. "Please," he whispered, diverting his eyes from looking directly into hers. The kit was a wobbly ball of nerves. "Can.. I stay after he comes back? I dont know what he'll be like... if hes even coming back.."

The tortoishell broke out into a serene trill of purring. Gee: she had been downright dim-witted to have ever thought Darkkit a 'freak.' Hadn't it been made obvious he just longed for a friend? He'd already been beaten down by so many other cats prior to Goslingkit pissing him off. Pft. I'm a moron sometimes, I have to admit.

"So anyway, what do you wanna do now, hm?" Goslingkit asked questioningly, quirking upward a thin brow. "Or... Ooh, I know! How would you like a play-fight, eh? It'll be fun, I promise! Plus, I'm sure Willowpaw would be proud if I beat you." A teasing prod into the tom-kit's shoulder.

Now, being one of the younger kits out there in the nursery, Goslingkit didn't have too much prepared knowledge, and so she was rather surprised when the thin tom managed to bowl her succesfully over. "Hey!" she giggled, just the taddest bit indignantly. "Alright, here it comes!" Foretoes flexing, the tortoiseshell aimed a playful swat at Darkkit's ear with a sheathed paw. "Pfft - there."
