Stonegaze sat in the clearing eating a nuthatch. He thought about his future. He was still pretty young but had almost completed mentoring an apprentice. He looked over and regarded Dragonpaw thoughtfully. Only one more moon, then he'd go back to just hunting and going on patrols. He sighed, wishing he wasn't so particular about friends for once.

Dragonpaw finished his mouse and went out of camp. He caught a few mice and dropped them off at the fresh-kill pile

"Ah," Stonegaze mewed. "Just hoping you hadn't been in the medicine den, sick or hurt." He had trouble making conversation with the young she-cat; they didn't have a lot in common. Stonegaze pawed at the dirt.
