Cloverdove’s attention snapped to Willowstripes, “I will hear of no such thing,” she growled then added in a softer tone, “I will never see another of my clan as a burden, anyone of us could have been attacked by the fox.”

Cloverdove watched as Willowstripes tried and failed to walk.

“I will carry you back to camp,” she said to the she-cat. Before willow could even reply Cloverdove grabbed her by the scruff and hauled the she-cat onto her back. She felt willows blood soak into her pelt, the she-cat would be alright - she knew springpaw would patch her wounds up, they were not thaaattt bad - but she could not help but notice how bloody she was.

Willowstripes saw the determination in the she-cats eyes. She decided not to argue with her any more.

“How are you holding up, Willowstripes,” she purred worriedly, “We are close to camp but we still have a small bit to go.”
