Re: August Gathering
@Pheasantflight Tidepaw's ears pricked as she noticed her mentor sitting in the crowd. She began making her way through the crowd of cats muttering excuse me's and sorry's as she went. She smiled as she reached Silentstorm then sat down next to her. She curled her tail over her paws, the feather she had stuck in her tail swishing slightly. It was a blue jay feather, one of her favorites in her collections. It was deep blue with dark stripes and a white tip, and stuck somewhat haphazardly to her tail with a bit of cobweb. She had brought it specially for the gathering. She looked up at where the leaders sat as she listened to the announcements, taking in their appearances. It was her first gathering and she was excited to see what all the leaders looked like, learn about their clans, and talk with other cats. Tidepaw frowned slightly and tipped her head to the side as Dawnstar spoke, then turned to Twilightstar listening to her response. She knew things weren't well between her clan and Shadowclan, but weren't gatherings supposed to be peaceful? It seemed plenty calm at the start, but now she could feel the tension in the air. She flicked her tail to the side then glanced at Silentstorm, "Is this normal?" She asked, slightly concerned. Tidepaw hoped so, or maybe she didn't. Part of her interest in the gathering was the ability to intermingle with the other clans, but she didn't want to feel tense every time she went to one. |

Yarrowshade was only slightly amused by the current drama between WindClan and ShadowClan. She also didn't care much about RiverClan, but if she had the opportunity to kill dome of them then why not. She was actually in a very bad mood, as the new high ranks not being her was enough to upset her. She'd worked so hard, who even was Aspenstrike aaaaa!? So this gathering was unpleasant to day the least, only eventful by the eye contact She'd made with Stormtalon, aggressive due to the battle where they fought each other. |

Re: August Gathering
Holy cow! This was why gatherings were so great! The drama! The pathos! The tears! Ravenpaw was grinning at the shameless display of anger. But something interesting popped up. Poisoned claws? Was that possible? How would it work? Deathberries? But would getting those into the bloodstream work, or did they have to be ingested? Hmmmm...
Ravenpaw didn’t particularly care about Thunderclan and Riverclans issues. But if any warrior crossed over the border without reason, they would have a problem. |
Re: August Gathering
Eldershade's conversation faded into the background as the leaders began to speak quickly amongst each other. Plumstorm stares up, captivated by a Gathering for the first time. She hangs onto every word this new ThunderClan leader says, followed by the rebuttals from Snakeheart and Kestrelstar. They were lying! The silver molly stands abruptly and looks at her conversational partner. "I'm going to get going," she mutters to the other she-cat before whisking away before the Gathering was called to a close. She steps right into Yarrowshade. Jumping back, her ears flatten and she draws an unhappy scowl. "Watch it," she snaps at the cat who clearly wasn't at fault. "Do you get something out of sitting in the way like that?" Narrowing her eyes, she takes a closer look at the ThunderClanner. "You're from ThunderClan," she notices condescendingly. "How does it feel, constantly being our baggage? Relying on RiverClan, being unable to do anything for yourself because you don't know how- You're so damn weak, all any of you can do is mewl and cry and moan and swat weakly at anyone who tells you that you're on your own!" Her fur prickles angrily, but the words spilling from her tongue were emotional, not rational. "You can claim to change and be stronger and full of strength and desire to fight back but face it- You, your Clan, and every single new leader you guys appoint from one moon to the next, you all amount to nothing to the rest of us." Re: August Gathering
| @jimothy | [shame to have to wrap this up soon, as Kestralstar is sending Riverclan back : C ] Mothflight found it hard to tear his eyes away from the tense situations occurring between the leaders; war could break out at any moment. He knew there would be tension between Windclan and Shadowclan - his disgust evident the entire time their pathetic excuse for a leader spoke - but he had not expected the potential for violence between Riverclan and Thunderclan. He didn't even turn to look at the molly as she responded, but hummed to ensure she knew he'd heard her, "Not a very good start, though," He commented, eyeing up the newly appointed Thunderclan leader, "And certainly not making the best of friends with your leader..." He further spoke, finally turning to look at her. He was sick of the leader's acting like peace as an impossibility, and he prayed to Starclan his adopted kits wouldn't grow up surrounded by so much violence. Unlikely He thought to himself, pale gaze drifting to observe the reactions of the crowd. He caught the eye of a Shadowclan cat, their expression that of glee and smugness - he gave nothing but a cold stare in return before turning back to Wavebreak. The accusation of poison was extreme, and Snakeheart's incredibly aggressive reaction made the tom suspicious. Perhaps he'd gotten a little used to Peachfrost's different nature, but still; poison? Surely medicine cats aren't supposed to do that? He dared not say anything to his new companion - friendly or not, a question about such a huge accusation could turn her against him in an instant. It would be a despicable act, one hard to justify in any case - were Riverclan that evil? He eyed up Wavebreak for a moment, seeing no reason to believe she came from a clan capable of such acts. Though, he wasn't a very good judge of character. Kestrelstar's rebuttal brought his attention back to the stones, the clearing tense and filled with uneasiness. He prayed there wouldn't be a fight, and was thankful when Kestrelstar announced Riverclan would be leaving; it was better than war, that was for sure! "Ah, a shame you've got to go so soon, I was enjoying our little chat," He announced, genuine disappointment in his voice, "Perhaps we'll see each other again," He hoped, smiling softly at the molly. He watched Riverclanners begin to shuffle and exchange their own goodbyes, and also the silent glares they received from what he assumed were Thunderclan warriors. He didn't look forward to if Windclan and Shadowclan were the last to remain. He swallowed nervously, but managed to cast one final smile in Wavebreak's direction. "All the best, Wavebreak!" |

@implimm
As someone collided with Yarrowshade, her head snapped to look at them with narrowed eyes of venom. "What are you doing?! Do you think you can just run into people like that!" she hissed as the other cat also snapped at her. "I'm sitting normally, you're walking around and running into cats!" She glared at the she-cat, claws firmly planted in the dirt. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. She rise to her paws, a complex expression on her face. It was a mixture of cruel amusement, pity and visceral anger. Even Yarrowshade didn't usually stoop as low as to blame an entire clan for something. But calling her weak, fir whatever reason, was unacceptable and Yarrowshade wanted to spit fire. "Oh, I'm sorry, I must've missed when we asked you to attack us or get upset over a few coyotes. Yes, you did us great help by sending Lionloser to attack us because his poor boyfriend was dead or whatever. And, last time I checked, your clan isn't doing too hot, even with a leader. Just ask Ottersplash or Stormtalon's shoulders. Whoops, you can't! You're just following orders from Kestrelstar, and we held our own with no authority. I wonder what would happen if someone killed him a good couple of times, RiverClan will probably fall apart! And you can say whatever you want about anyone else, but not me personally. I fought my battle. You, on the other hand, look like you could use a few more scars. I can certainly give you some!" Yarrowshade growled and took a defensive stance. She'd used a lot of accomplishments that weren't hers and she hated it, but she really really wanted to hurt this cat as much as possible. |

Palehound listens to Aspenstar continue and how they refused to acknowledge any of the events that happened could have possibly been started by them, that they were somehow not partially to blame for the reaction. She flinched at the mention of the poison and the mention of a kit having been attacked, remembering the way the other kit had called for a Cinderkit. But she wasn't a kit, in anything more than rank. She'd been more than old enough to have started her training and she had attacked her first. |

Re: August Gathering
Eldershade (Shc)
Eldershade watched as the shouting escalated. Plumstorm had left, snapping at another cat, and RiverClan was apparently headed back home. Huh. ThunderClan and RiverClan were clearly ready to tear each other apart. She was glad, for a minute, that Nightfoot hadn't come tonight. He would hate this. She watched the new ThunderClan leader face off against the RiverClan leader, her deputy coming up between them. This might turn ugly. Eldershade stood, eager, in case a fight broke out. Juniperclaw (Th) The air hummed with tension like high wind. Juniperclaw sat, his face like stone. Long practice of intimidating other rogues had given him a look like a hammer, that said, I will hurt you if I have to. I would rather not. But I can, and if I do, I will never have to hurt you again, because there won't be enough of you left. I finish the job the first time. He listened, quietly, to the roaring, and waited for the violence. |

| Blacksun of Thunderclan | Well this gathering sucked, whatever, if Kestralstar or, starclan please teach Dawnstar a lesson, maybe the next one would go well. Although, even Blacksun knew Dawnstar was a lost cause so, just wishful thinking there. Maybe the riverclan tom could be saved though, she'd antagonize his clan until he shapened up though |
Re: August Gathering
~Shadowheart~ Raising her head at Dogbarks call, the black and white molly let out a soft sigh before she followed along with the other Thunderclan cats. ~Dewsplash~ Turning its gaze onto Dogbark, Dewsplash was quick to follow along to go home. |
Re: August Gathering
Unable to move for a split second, Snakewhisker glanced uneasily at the other cats. Lowering his head, he slowly stood and padded away from the Gathering. The ThunderClan tom followed after the rest of his clan, occasionally looking over his shoulder. Although a small part of him was curious to see what would unravel, he was mostly relieved to be away from all of the conflict. |

Eldershade (Shc)
Eldershade sheathed her claws, disappointed, and glanced at the crowd of cats around her before turning to follow her leader. Nightfoot would find the news interesting, at least. Juniperclaw (Th) Juniperclaw's eyes stayed on Aspenstar for a beat or two long, before slowly rising to his feet. He glanced back at Dogbark, who was leaving, and then up at the other leaders. This was stupid. A leader alone up on the rocks was asking for trouble. Then again, if RiverClan killed another ThunderClan leader, they wouldn't be able to deny it... they might not want to risk angering the Clan further, especially if their plan was denial. Or they'd kill again. There was no telling. Juniperclaw hesitated, and then turned to catch up to Dogbark. "... Is this wise?" he meowed, quietly. "I can stay behind, at the edge. See what they do without interrupting them." @Willowfern @Poppy ((if there's something planned I don't want to get in the way!)) |

Re: August Gathering
A damn shame.
Grousewing beheld the stand-off with a stony presence. It was unfortunate to feel his large frame braced for a spring, suspense and pressing fury testing his control. Aspenstar was his leader, his adoptive daughter, the governor of his family and friends. She put defending her clan before a proper introduction of her bestowed name, though perhaps this explosive confrontation was declarative enough of her agency. One thing was made clear: Thunderclan had enough of Riverclan’s turbulent and dishonorable leadership. Whatever Kestrelstar and Snakeheart and their puppets said to themselves at moon-high to be able to face their clan mates the waking morning—it had to be convincing...and terribly damaging. Would they have had the dignity to shoulder the truths Aspenstar had spilled, maybe Grousewing would have exhibited some pity. He’d kept his eyes on the Abyssinian a moment longer, his long-haired tail wrapping around his youngest child when Dogbark hopped down. “Thank you, Dogbark. You’ve done plenty. I’ll join the group with Marshkit shortly,” he meowed, his response low and firm. Standing up, the senior warrior dipped his head to give Marshkit a hearty lick atop her head. “We’ll stay together the whole way back. Just one moment.” Why did he feel so heavy? “Icicleripple,” he calls to the medicine cat with one step toward the base of the Seastone, his flank still pressed to his trembling kit. ”Will you walk with us?” Paternal feelings or not, her condition deeply troubled him. It was clear that their medicine cat was disturbed by the targeted, verbal assault. To think their neighbors would top all their venomous spouting off with a pathetic bounce of accusations onto their blind-sided healer. This Gathering was unsettling. So many cats gripped by such forcible paws. He felt his age more than ever tonight. @spade @Willowfern @Panda1440 |

| Sandpaw of Shadowclan | The apprentice was, confused, this seemed troublesome, but everyone was leaving so, he should go too. ' 'Um, bye Cliffcrash!' ' Great, this was now awkward...he didn't know what to think of all that had transpired [I'm not even gonna bother posting Whitepaw leaving, lack of motivation] |
Re: August Gathering
Riverclan ~Dawnwhisper~ Hearing Splashleap calling for them to leave, Dawnwhisper raised themself onto their paws before quickly following the deputy. Not uttering another word. ~Reedpaw~ Head spinning, her heart silently pounded at her chest. What was happening? Everyone was yelling, Splashleap, that was the deputy’s voice, right? Head spinning, Reedpaw hurriedly followed with the other Riverclan cats. Shadowclan ~Splotchleaf~ Taking in a soft breath as everything seemed to be dissolving around him, Splotchleaf quickly brought himself to his paws and hurriedly followed the Shadowclan lead. ~Sheepglow~ Heart beating wildly in her chest out of fear, Sheepglow quickly followed along with the other cats. She had no want to be here if a fought broke out. ~Flametail~ So much was happening, everyone seemed to be yelling at this point. In the distant part of his brain, Flametail registered Dawnstars voice. Quickly getting onto his paws, he hurriedly followed the other Shadowclan cats. |

Duskmoth (Darksun) padded quietly towards the exit, his eyes dim with no emotion. He then looked up and saw that Kestrelstar was walking towards the clan, his fur fluffed out. |
