. @BILL.

She skidded to a halt behind him letting out raspy breaths of satisfaction. She expected him to turn and scold her for something she did wrong- but she hit him didn’t she? She was taken aback by his grin and felt her ears turn red at the “compliment”.

Her tail lashed behind her and felt a smile curl onto the corner of her lips gradually the argument faded out of her mind. He was proud! He’s proud of you spider. She tossed her head back smiling from ear to ear ‘ ‘ of course I’m not hopeless green eyes. ‘ ‘ she snorted in response dropping onto her haunches looking like she’d just ate the plumpest mouse. ‘ ‘ what did you expect? A failure? ‘ ‘ she mused ‘ ‘ if you wanted a failure apprentice you should’ve taken the other spider ‘ ‘ she added scrunching her nose up.

"Considering you fail to get my eye color correct," Lionstorm shook his pelt, baring his teeth at her. "Then yes, I expect no less from you, Skinpatches." He'd comment on the other Spiderpaw, but she was in the same boat as the one in front of him. Short-furred cats were abominations, and he couldn't understand how they survived once the cold weather rolled around.

While Spiderpaw was busy gloating, Lionstorm moved, aiming to slam one of his paws into her chest and send her to the ground. She'd need to learn to focus her attention on him, not herself.

He was the only thing that mattered.

Duskshower quickly dodged a paw swipe from her friend Dreamhum, and she reared up on her hind legs, pushing her paws onto their shoulders, knocking then down. She had the younger cat pinned, and after a moment, she stepped away from them, shaking out her fur. She smiled and gently flicked their ear with her tail in a friendly gesture. Today the two warriors had decided to come to the training cave and practice moves on each other. Yeah , it was supposed to be for mentors training with their apprentices, but there was nobody but them right now, so why not do some "training" on their own? The dark furred she-cat didn't see anything wrong with that. anyway, her friend had asked for a little training with her, and she couldn't turn that down! She loved the fact she was more experienced and could teach them a few things. She purred as the other cat got to their paws and she stepped up to them. "I'm surprised you asked me to help you. I'm not the best at training other cats. But it seems that although you said you needed the experience, I can see you have plenty of it. You just need to bring that experience to life." she sighed and walked to the corner of the cave, gazing at the ground and tracing lines on the floor cave with her paw. She glanced up, her eyes taking on their usual sad expression, the happiness that had been shimmering during their training now gone. "I... I guess that was fun, but, now I'm just a depressed lump again.. My brother's death really gets to me , you know? Well, of course you do, I've told you a billion times." she gazed at the ground again, shuffling her paws before letting out a broken laugh. "I'm just stupid and pathetic, aren't I? Just annoying and dumb." she snorted and shook her head. "I always try to be happy and confident, but it's so... Hard, you know? I just struggle so much. I.... I really hate this." she turned her head away. "Is there any other training you wish to do with me?," she asked, abruptly changing the subject. We could do some more battle training, or we could go out and try some hunting.. whatever you want to train, I'll help you with it." she tried to sound enthusiastic and eager, but her depression was getting to her, so she sounded half-hearted.

DreamHum grunted as they got pinned a noticeable glare could be seen as they failed this round....then again Duskshower was an older and far more experienced warrior than them...they were only fourteen! Although it didn't stop their tail from lashing about from slight frustration as they got back up and shook out their calico fur , however their ears perked up as she began to speak and emedietly sympathy began to swell in the pit of their stomach "well, you are way older than me...so I need to learn how to fight against more experienced warriors. "they meowed only to gulp in fears of messing up "it's not your fault. I bet you did what you could . Remember everything reunites in the end . Eventually . " they meowed only to shake their head "annoying ? Please . Your not pathetic either . And if you want me to be honest ....truly honest....I do kinda wish you'll stop telling me about your brothers death....I get it . I have a brother too, id be heartbroken if he's gone in an unjust way. But for now please stop, for your sake so it won't keep replaying in your head . And mine...before I say something I may regret..." they meowed which instantly caused them to feel regret ok...I just hope she doesn't take this too harshly ...I'm sorry dusk.... you could see it their body movements until Duskshower spoke again .

"I wanna keep doing this, I won't stop until I win. Atleast a good few rounds ." they meowed with determination in their voice as they faced their friend with a puffed out chest and fur . Their hazel orbs shinning at the though of possibly winning "I don't wanna be humiliated infront of my clan because I can't fight . I wanna make you proud and my family . " they added before crouching and waving their bushy tail in the air before smirking "if I win one of these you have to do something embarrassing infront of the whole clan. Something really embarrassing . And if I loose. ...I'll do what I just said . Deal?" they asked as they flashed a toothy grin .

@Zero to Hero

He pushed the fronds aside, and used his shoulder to pin them to the side of the cave. It was luminated from the sun that filtered in, through the holes in the ceiling, but other than that, it was fairly dark and dank. The leader looked at younger feline accompanying him. "That's how you get to the Training Cave." he hummed, looking in the direction they came from. "Today we will be training here. Just the basics today, than they'll get more and more complicated with each lesson, so prepare yourself." he said. He waited till Coastpaw went in before he followed suit, dropping the fronds and letting them swing back and fourth.

Coastpaw entered the training cave with wide eyes, the sight of it almost pushing the apprentice's excitement levels to the breaking point. He looked around with wonder, admiring how the holes in the ceiling made many sizes of 'spotlights' across the entire cave floor. He went from here and there, sniffing and looking around. "This place is awesome!" He meowed, in awe. His blown-away reaction at a place so simple really seemed to give away his age, at what he had still yet to learn and see from the world. The tom reeled his focus back in to the best of his abilities as Fallenstar explained what they would be doing here, grinning. "Oh, I'm so ready!" He chirped, bounding his way back to Fallenstar's side.

The leader watched his apprentice bounce in, a small smile on his face for a few seconds before being replaced with that of a more serious look once more. "Yes it can be quite...pretty." he coughed as he watched the apprentice make his way back next to him. "Alright, let's see what you know so far. Try and attack me. Maybe...knock me off balance." he mused, tail lashing behind him. In all honesty, he'd be incredibly surprised if Coastpaw actually managed to get him off balance, considering both size difference and skill. But, he supposed he should come at this with an open mind and see what he was capable of first.

Coastpaw nodded excitedly at his directions, backing away a few steps once more to add some sort of distance he could work with. "Okay, so knock him off balance..." The apprentice murmured to himself, tilting his head. However, he wasn't really the type to strategize, so he decided to just do what he normally did to knock his playmates over - definitely not considering the fact that Fallenstar was much bigger and stronger than he was. With a running start, he leaped toward his target, paws overstretched. However, he found that hitting the warrior's side was like hitting a tree - he was rock solid. The apprentice bounced off like a fly and landed clumsily on his paws next to his mentor, shaking his head after slamming face-first into his shoulder. "Ouch!" He meowed, rubbing his nose. If he had used his brain, he maybe would have succeeded by hitting the tom's legs out from under him - instead he had aimed for his side which he should have known couldn't work when they were bigger than you and preparing for it. It was clear he had a long ways to go.

Dreampaw sat down, grooming her ears. She gave a silent grunt of exasperation. She knew Shinytalon was still here. They had finished their last battle practice, and now she only needed to do hunting before her final assessment. She was practically beaming with pride. Her, Eaglepaw, Snowpaw and Skypaw would be warriors!

She stifled a purr. She couldn't wait!

(Dreampaw confused me for a sec lol)

Shinytalon stepped out the bushes. She struggled to conceal her pride, but perhaps the twitching of her whiskers gave her emotions away. The apprentice she had been training for many seasons was taking her final assessment, but a part of her didn’t want her to pass. I..dont want her to go? She shook her fur. Ofcourse she did, if she didnt, what would the other warriors make of her?
“Dreampaw,” she said, giving off a slight purr and smiling. “You’ve become worthy apprentice, no doubt a warrior. I’m know you’ll pass your assessment.”
