Cody was pressing his face into Thyme's side. He was crying again. How could Frost and Pebble expect Thyme to save Talon!? She wasn't there! The one they should be blaming... was him. He didn't save her... but he could have.

Cody stood up and raced outside. The thoughts... they were louder... they wouldn't stop... they were driving him mad... He stood at the base of the tree Talon jumped from. He put a paw up it, like he wanted to climb, but... he crumpled on the ground. He wouldn't. He couldn't... Thyme needed him. Pebble and Frost... they were his family whether he liked it or not... he couldn't let them down.
