Re: ShadowClan Clearing
**Sunsetpaw** The new, young apprentice bounced out of the apprentice den as the sun began to rise, staining the clearing with its shadowed pastel light. She stopped as the piney, morning-fresh air hit her, her ears perked and her tail flicking excitedly behind her. She'd find Goody today and she'd officially begin her training, she would! It was time! She'd already been on a patrol, which she hadn't actually seen Goody at, and she'd been to a Gathering, which she also hadn't seen Goody at, but no bother, she'd find her in camp today and they'd begin training. Papa Elmshadow had taken her on a tour and she tried hunting a little, and Anty Larky had taught her fighting, but none of that was with her mentor so did it really count anyway? Sitting inside camp was beginning to make her restless. She was an apprentice now and she needed to get things done! Her pale blue eyes stopped though when she saw a familiar figure perched on a nearby bush. She smiled. The little brown sparrow didn't have a name as far as she knew but something about that fact made her feel even closer to it. She hadn't had a name either but it didn't make her any less than, her and the sparrow were the same in that way she supposed. She crouched down, her tail lashing behind her, then she unleashed the coil in her hind legs. She landed just shy of the bird and batted it softly with sheathed paws. She'd been getting her paws on the bird's feathers more recently in their near-daily game they played. Though the sparrow seemed to be growing better at dodging and sensing the incoming attacks, Sunsetpaw had also been improving her speed, strength, and unpredictability, and apparently faster than the sparrow was making its own growth. The sparrow flapped its wings out to steady itself against the gentle onslaught then jumped backwards out of the apprentice's reach. Sunsetpaw pounced again, this time flailing upwards as the sparrow made a quick move to fly just overhead, missing the reaching paws and landing on the ground between her and the apprentice den. Sunsetpaw cocked her head, grinning as she looked back at the confident, friendly bird. It'd been around since she was a kit, for as long as she could remember and something nostalgic sparked within her. They'd both grown. Suddenly, before even she could consider what her next move was going to be, she crouched and leapt, reaching for the brown white-chested sparrow just as she had the first time. And, like the first time, the sparrow was too slow to react. Its wing spread as though to prepare itself for the rebalancing it would need to do after it was knocked over by yet another swipe. But this time was different. Sunsetpaw sat back and smiled, a bit mournfully, down at the bird. She'd miss their little playdates and she'd never again get to see the white-chest sparrow rise up into the blue sky but this was for the best anyway, she knew. The bird would be happy wherever it was now and she had a gift. She sighed, contentedly, then picked up the bird, plucking a mouthful of the longest, most-intact feathers from the sparrow's distinct chest from both the white spot and some of the surrounding brown area, then carried her loot towards Miss Star's den on a whim. |

Lillykit Lillykit timidly approached the other kit, her heart beating fast with both excitement and nervousness. She had noticed the other kit playing by itself and had been watching from a distance for some time. Seeing the opportunity to make a new friend, she slowly walked up to the other kit. "Hi there," Lillykit meowed softly. "I couldn't help but notice you all by yourself. Would you like to play with me?" |
Re: ShadowClan Clearing
Chirppaw @FrostyGalaxya extremely tall cat who is half black half white with green and yellow eyes. A long scar goes across their chest from a previous dog attack. 1/100 Chirppaws eyes had been closed in silence for a long time, their tail lazily flicking every now and then. Why…why does everything end in violence? it was a question they asked themselves a lot. They would ask somebody else or their mentor…if they were in a gentle less violent clan. with a muffled sigh from chirppaw they lifted their head to glance around the clearing. They had chosen the quietest spot possible because they hadn’t yet mastered the art of “being social” in fact they rather disliked interacting with others a great deal. |

He hadn't been called out to train, he hadn't been called on patrol. There wasn't much to do. Of course, he could always practice his hunting techniques, as that was the only lesson he'd half had. Still, perhaps there was someone he could talk to to pass the time. He didn't want to bother Snowecho and his other apprentice friends... well, that would be a whole ordeal, to have a conversation with them. He'd run about and find someone else to talk to. A little ways away, they spotted a black and white cat laying alone and decided to trot on over. |

Chirppaw 2/100 The fact that another cat had even came up to him had blown him away completely. Hesitantly he replied in a despise voice. Uhmmm no I don’t think we’ve met? I uhm. I’m chirppaw? his voice raided like he was questioning his own name. Which he was. Why was I named chirppaw? I don’t even talk much. he found this rather amusing. I apologize I don’t usually talk to others. And it surprised me when you came over. |

They apologized, sitting down a little further away from the other cat. "I shouldn't have approached so suddenly, that was my fault." A little laugh escaped him, somewhat rueful but they didn't dwell too long on that. "Do you not even talk much with your mentor?" |

Chirppaw a extremely tall half black half white cat with green and yellow eyes. 7 moons old 3/100 chirppaws eyes darted to the ground when deerpaw mentioned his mentor. No not really. We say a few words to each other but not many. he puffed quietly. Seeing him scoot away a bit made chirppaw relax a bit. I’m sorry. he didn’t say much but at least he was being truthful and genuine? talking to him isn’t so bad? shifting slightly he flicked his tail signaling that he could sit next to him. I don’t see you as a threat you can sit next to me deerpaw he chuckled. |

Honestly, they were just a little wary of Chirppaw; he seemed nice enough, but of the cats he'd managed to befriend in his clan, not many of them could exactly be described as 'nice.' Maybe one could, but he wasn't sure about the others. "What do you do during your training, then? If you don't talk at all?" |
