Fawnkit pawed the ground, laying her tail to the side. Unanswered questions floated around in her mind. Where is my Father? Who is my Father? Do I have a Father? Why is my Mom so clingy? Why? The last question stuck in her mind. Why? She pawed at her pale purple leaf. Her leaf. Why?

Fawnkit narrowed her eyes, patting the leaf gently. "Why?" She mewed, a whisper of sound. She kicked up some dirt. "Why?!" She mewed, louder. Her tan fur fluffed up, she flicked her ears. "Its not fair... I don't have a Dad..how come no one loves me?" Momma loves me... But its not the same.. "Hmp, she flung her leaf in the air, letting it fall on her head as she laid down.

Cloudpaw bounded into the clearing then slowing down as he reached the prey pile, the tom had gone out hunting early in the morning but had gotten distracted with exploring but this was quite common with him, Cloudpaw had caught two pieces of prey one dove and one mouse dove was his favourite but even he knew better then to eat it himself smiling a little he placed the prey down and sat down under a tree.

Cucumberpickle corrected himself," I mean standing in the territory and seeing what it looks like. They always get mad, I mean they never left the nursery until five moons old,2 moons old I let them leave the nest."

She sighed. "It would have been better to teach them outright," she mewed, then shook her head. "But who am I to tell a tom how to raise his kits? I've never had any of my own!"

With a thought that perhaps he should go say something, he rolled over and pushed himself to his paws. His gaze flitted across the clearing, searching for the cat he'd heard grumbling to themself, before alighting upon a kit. The leaf on her head almost caused him to purr in amusement but he quickly reminded himself not to do that and instead gave himself a shake.

"Now why do you think you're not loved?" he queried as he approached the kitten. He made sure to keep his voice low, sure that she didn't want others to overhear. Really, she probably didn't want to be heard in the first place.
