Re: RiverClan Nursery
After screaming endlessly, gasping for breath, she felt her strength melt away in an instant and slipped down from his back. It's not surprising that she felt weary. More like surprised she'd the energy, to begin with. It was only two days ago that Snakepaw allowed her to join the nursery after getting cleared. Spicekit panted, "Yeah..you can go. I'll stay here and uh..help 'round." Talking low, her eyes lazily shifted for any kit that may need help. "..keep the weaklings safe n' what not..," a yawn slipped out, laying down. "..ill wait for ya ..here." And with that, Spicekit closed her eyes falling into a slumber.

A combination of his outside excursion and Fawnsqueak had made him late to the party, and once Lionstorm broke his way past-- his heart stopped. On top of all the blood that soaked the area by the nursery, he saw.. he saw.. No, no, no, no, no. No. It wasn't. It couldn't be. Lionstorm's heart raced as he crossed the clearing, approaching the fallen cat on the ground. It pounded rapidly as he lurched over the body of his father, a wave of nausea and dizziness overcoming him at the sight of the blood. Firehawk's torn throat. Fatherhawk. Firehawk. Gone. An entirely preventable death, had he been here. His vision blurred, the only thing he could see was Firehawk and blood. Everything else melted into darkness. He couldn't breathe, his throat felt like it was closing up. It was his fault. He failed him-- the Clan. His chest tightened, he didn't even realize he was hyperventilating or that tears streamed down his face, trying to take in quick, shallow breaths that seemed like they were getting nowhere. Re: RiverClan Nursery
Heronflight stopped where she was standing. She looked at Lionstorm as he ran iver ro Firehawk. The molly knew what it was like to loose someone close. Her father had died before. She didn't want to get to close to the grieving Lionstorm. Once he had helped her now it was her time to help him. She looked at him with her good eye. "I'm so sorry.", she meowed in a hushed voice. It was a motherly type meow. The black and white warrior wanted to wrap her tail around him, but thought better of it. // @BILL.; \\ |
Re: RiverClan Nursery
Mantiskit couldnt do anything but watch as the coyote was taken down by the warriors, the entire event lasting mere moments. What...what had happened? Firehawk...He was dead? The very word seemed foreign to the small kit, having never so much as thought of the concept of death. It just...never seemed to be important to think about. Well, until then.
What even was death? From what she understood, death was when starclan enveloped you and swooped you off of the ground, taking you up into the sky with them. Was death forever? The kit assumed so. Still, even though she was uncertain of so many aspects of death, she knew that it was bad. Death made cats sad, and angry, and so many other things. Most of all, it made them fragile. That she knew. So fragile that even words could break them, and shatter them into pieces. The kit knew she was young. Too young to be seeing this. But she didnt mind. Red was a nice color. It was the color of ladybugs, of the wildflowers that were just starting to bloom. But the sticky feeling of the liquid beneath her small paws, that was something she did mind. As Lionstorm burst into the den, yet again she could only watch. She could only watch as he seemed to crumble away before her very eyes, collapsing into himself in a flurry of tears and panicked breaths. The snowshoe she-cat found it hard to read him. He seemed to be a mix of many things, but the emotions that stood out most to her were overwhelming sadness and...betrayal. But...that didnt make sense. Who had betrayed him? Perhaps...perhaps he was the one who betrayed Firehawk? Still, something was wrong. Something was very, very wrong. So, padding quietly forward to stand beside the distraught tom, she tilted her head as her pale green eyes gazed up at his shaking form. "He is safe up in the sky, right? Is he going to be happy there?" she inquired in a quiet voice, not quite registering the state of mind the golden tom was in at the moment. // @BILL. |
Re: RiverClan Nursery
Right the nursery was as sorted as it was going to be given the chaos and no one else was coming forward to get healed. It was too late to fix how he looked right not to provide comfort most assuredly, Snakehearts mouth was flecked with herbs and he'd be tasting the marigold and blood for far to long and the metallic scent was all he could process but hopefully his actions had done more then he appearance could undo. There was still a group of cats in the medicine cat waiting for him yes but he couldnt just leave the nursery when there was still was a body here. Firehawk didnt deserve the disrespect of just being left there because even if Snakeheart prioritised the living (there were no herbs to heal death) and had little clue what to do for the gone elder he had to do something right?
So as he forced himself to turn he dreaded seeing the body, throat gone and bloody hastily covered with a futile layer of cobwebs, he- Oh. Oh no. Lionstorm was back too late to do anything but perfectly in time see the effects of the horrible disaster of today. For all his bitter words to the warrior Snakeheart didnt hate him, never did, and even if that was the case he didnt wish this fate on anyone. Gently padding over to the grieving warrior he- Well he really didnt know how to help but Lionstorms breathing was his first concern. So that in mind his voice was unusually calm as he padded around the fallen elder to be able to see the sobbing tabbies face steadily speaking "You need to breath. Lionstorm listen to me you need to breath. Do it with me I believe in you. In. Out. In. Out. Take your time we'll all be here. In. Out." Snakeheart didnt expect or need or even really want to force Lionstorm to pull himself together right now, he just wanted as always to do what he could. If it didnt seem to work he'd swap tracks to try and help in a different way but if it in any way helped he'd keep doing it as long as the older tom needed. He was surrounded by those that cared though, Firehawk and Lionstorm both and that wasnt nothing. @BILL. |
Re: RiverClan Nursery
Irispetel stood up and walked around her nest and sat down again only to get back up. She decided to walk outside. She got up and then paced the outside of the nursery confused. . . . {OPEN!!!!!!!!!}
