Re: Sleepy Thicket
Autumnpaw | @Cherry~ The calico she-cat took a tentative step into the thicket. She felt a chill run down her spine. Wasn't this the place with that ghost cat? Oh well, that was just a story to frighten kits. And she was a big apprentice! She straightened and looked around. It's not as pretty as Cattail Pond. she said offhandedly, shrugging and studying the area before scenting. Wow. Pretty stale, even to her untrained palette. |
Re: Sleepy Thicket
Slatestripe looked down at his apprentice. Fortunately, she didn’t seem unnerved. Whether that was because she didn’t know of the legend or didn’t believe it, he didn’t know. Either way, he was glad they didn’t have to waste time on that dumb folk tale. “This is the Sleepy Thicket,” he told her. “It certainly is more boring than Cattail Pond. That’s probably why cats don’t visit here often.” He paused for a moment to scent the air. “Scent the air. There isn’t much RiverClan scent here, so you should be able to pick up on the scents of other creatures more easily. See if you can identify any scents, and I’ll tell you what they belong to.” ( @Peril ) |
Re: Sleepy Thicket
Autumnpaw | @Cherry~ post 9/100 The calico nodded and scented once more, now that she was focused on smelling more than just the obvious. She smelled something earthy and musky. Something sweet. Huh. Smells... weird. Musky and dirty and sweet-ish? I dunno. she said, flicking her tail in agitation |
Re: Sleepy Thicket
Slatestripe tasted the air to confirm before vocalizing the identity of what she was scenting. “That’s a mouse,” he said. “We don’t usually eat those, since they only provide the same sustenance as a couple of minnows. But, in times of low prey we’re more inclined to throw them on our prey pile.” He turned to leave. “Given how quiet it is, I imagine we’ll be coming back to Sleepy Thicket a lot for training. For now, though, it’s time we move on. We’ve still got some more places to visit!” The gray and black warrior shot off into the forest, his next destination already sharp in his mind. ( @Peril ) |
Re: Sleepy Thicket
Wisteriawhisper sat in the thicket silently pondering the meaning of life, and of the things that made it what it was... life had many things in it but she know there where key points to having a good and happy life. Like Having ton of Friends that made you smile when you where sad, or had your back whenever you needed them. Family that didn't abandon you when you needed them, and always was there for you even in the end. a true love that loved you for you and nobody else.
but of coarse Wisteriawhisper knew little to none about the experiance of any of those things, so even as she sat i place that was said to be hunted he really didn't care. some days he felt as if someone had turned his emotions off. he cared about his clan, he hated seeing all the deaths this season seemed to be bring... but there didn't seem to be much they could do to stop that. or to help the ones torn apart by it. Wisteriawhisper never had much of a family anyways... their parents left like the wind after Troutpaw died.... to this day he often wondered what became of them... but he didn't care no-more... because she really never had mattered to them, they where all about Troutpaw, their perfect little son! Re: Sleepy Thicket
Wisteriawhisper was lost in thoughts of the past, of memories of kittenhood....
he remembered the day she and Troutpaw had been little kit and climbed on top of the nursery... it had been beautiful since the sun had started to rise. the camp was peaceful and calm was the wind. the hours dragged on like forever i these wee moments of calm friendship. for growing up Troutpaw had been their only friend... the only one that understood them and their problem... they had watched the sunrise over the camp in complete silence. it was almost like magic, the beauty it had in the rising dawn... afterwards the two of them had climbed back up after every one had gone to their nests for the night to stare up at the stars and whisper softly to each other in the beautiful and calm darkness that surrounded camp. the stars where twinkling that night and the sound of an owl hooting in the distance echoed in their ears but they had not been afraid for they knew they where safe in the camp. safe and sound as long as they stay'd in camp... never in a million seasons had they dreamed one day the stars would be the very thing that seperated them and broke their bond.... SHARD (R/L)
He breathed in and entered the quiet territory with bunches of thickets. He didnt smell or hear anything suspicious so he continued to venture even deeper. "I heard this was WaterClan territory" he mumbled than corrected himself, "Oops, it was RIVERClan" he almost laughed at how short his memory span was He walked farther and farther, deeper and deeper until he saw a thicket that smelled like berries. "How come no one is here?" he asked himself and shrugged, "I could gladly make myself a home here" he settled down and collected a few feathers that were found all around and made a little nest He settled down and then fell asleep thinking no one would come. He soon woke up to see a cat with the smell of River wind on their fur. He almost jumped and headbutted into the cat from fear "What are you doing here!" he went into the most horrible battle crouch ever made by a cat in existence [Open (need to be a RC cat)] |

Re: Sleepy Thicket
"I didnt do anything" He got up and started backing away. "You clan cats want the whole forest for yourself, youre so selfish you cant even let a stray cat that does nothing to you stay he growled. "Why dont you just leave me alone, and we're done, you can pretend you never saw me, and I'll never bother you and youre clan" he offered. His fighting skills werent fresh so he didnt want to fight at the moment
