PumpkinKit smiled with delight. "Well, an apprentice brought in fresh bedding but it was all messy and weird shaped so I rearranged it to where it was perfectly flat but comfortable!" They purred, with a smile. "I like cleaning things! Do you like that too, mister FoxStrike?" Pumpkin asked.

Mothkit finally got on top of Uncle Hawky's head and made a long happy noise, feeling proud. But then... The ears... They started to move... She watched with ambition... They were asking to be swatted at... The little kit tried to pounce on the ear and latch onto it, but she managed to forget how gravity works, and she slipped off the cat's head. She yelled in fear and surprise, bitting the good ear to try and stop herself but her little teeth weren't good enough and slid off the ear and she started falling.

The Enforcer had managed to roll over onto his stomach while the kit clambered on top of his head. However, he felt her start to slip once his head was raised in the air again. Thinking quickly, he shuffled his front paws in front of him and under where Mothkit would land. His eyes were huge as he watched the tiny body tumble the short distance to the ground. Thankfully, his large paws could catch her and kittens were squishy enough that she wouldn't be hurt too much, especially from the height she fell.

"Are you okay kiddo?" Hawkbite inquired with a tilt of his head once she was on the ground.

Mothkit squeaked as she landed on Uncle Hawky's big paws. She looked up at him with her tiny little amber eyes. She felt... So small... So weak... He could crush he if he wanted to! She squeaked again, realizing how small she really was, and curled up in Uncle Hawky's big paws, slightly scared she was gonna get hurt by him now.

He was a little taken aback by the surprised squeak and curl. He gently wrapped his paws around the small kitten and pulled her up close to his chest. "Hey, you're okay. You didn't get hurt," Hawkbite cooed softly, looking down at Mothkit with slight concern. Shortly after, he'd lean down and offer a couple soft licks on her head in an attempt to soothe her.
