➣ As the dark-furred tomcat approached the young apprentice, he noticed right away how excited she appeared to be from her body language alone. It made Snowleap smile, assuming that Littlepaw was eager to train and learn, rather than just being thrilled to be helped by the deputy of RiverClan. The tall oriental longhair had no problem giving the molly some one-on-one help with training. When he was a shield, he adored helping apprentices like Frozenpaw and… Mistypaw. May StarClan rest her soul.

Shaking his head, Snowleap drew himself back to the current task at paw and watched as Littlepaw lifted herself to stand on her back paws. He stayed where he was, making sure to keep still as the eager she-cat swiped at him. Thankfully, he soon felt the small paw brush against his nose. “Wonderful job, Littlepaw!” The RiverClan deputy purred, “I knew you could do it.” He would always strive to encourage cats whom he trained with. From personal experience, negative reinforcement didn’t work well.

He glanced over towards Fawnpaw, who was struggling, being helped by Softecho, and then turned to look at Bluepaw, who was being assisted by Tirefire. The whole scene warmed his heart and Snowleap kept on smiling, feeling like his words and this event was helping everyone come together to be better. “Once you all are ready to move on,” He said, directing his words towards Fawnpaw, Littlepaw and Bluepaw, “Let me know and we can move on to our next move. Remember, lift your paw, reel back and swipe!” He demonstrated once again and then returned to his original place, watching the three apprentices. “Thank you, Softecho and Tigerfire, for helping teach Bluepaw and Fawnpaw. These three will be warriors in no time, I just know it.”
