The tiny kitten finally, finally, made that first gasp as air filled his lungs. Tiny defenceless body squirmed and spasmed for a moment before managing to hack up a big blog of... ick. Gross.

The nameless kitten was exhausted to say the least. His body went limp in the warm grip of his older sibling. Maybe it would've been better if he hadn't made it this far? He was already just too tired to exist for the moment. He wanted to feel the warmth of his siblings, of his mother, but instead, here he was.

He dared to make a pathetic noise out into the quiet of nursery; a noise desperate to smell the milk that would help him regain that energy lost in his struggle. But it was only the one noise, too wrecked to make another. he curled up into a little ginger and black bean before finally falling silent.
