Pain. That’s the one word starry could even possibly describe what she was feeling. Her sore muscles ached in protest as she staggered her way out of the medicine cats den. Her usual bright and fierce silver eyes now looked dimmed and slightly frightened. Her singular eye darted around frantically as she took a few more tentative steps. She wanted to collapse on the spot and cry her heart out. How would her mother react to her face and body…how would she react to seeing how much she had failed? Maybe she was right…if I was stronger I could’ve beaten it..I could’ve..I could’ve saved my baby brother from such a cruel fate.

She choked back a mournful sob as she eased herself into a sitting position. The colder days had brought snow with it and the ground was cold and icy beneath her. Puffing out a few breaths she watched as the white foggy cloud evaporated nearly instantly. you would’ve loved the snow ravenpaw..you always wanted to see what it looked like.. at last she couldn’t help but let out a pained grunt. i miss you…you were all I ever had.. now that she actually had time to think things over. She began to see that not only was her brother the only family that she considered worth while..she also considered him a son to her.

Her mind soon drifted to scorpionvenom..the Tom cat she had grown quite fond of him in the short time she had known him. Her thoughts often revolved around him in some form or another
