"You sound just like her!" Shadowpaw giggle before trying herself "I Better claw ya ear off!" She then perked up, oh she didn't think about the itchies! "Oh yeah the itches, that's no fun."

To try to clean herself Shadowpaw carefully used the murky water of the pond to get a good amount of the mud off of herself before she walked somewhere dry to sit and groom herself. Muck was fun to play in, gross to clean off. In the middle of cleaning she took a break to speak up. "Goopy you are my friend" She declared.

Meadowkit cuts straight to the point, leaving no room for meaningless cooing or baby-talk, the normal reaction when an oldie first starts talking to her. "w-what?" Violetfang was confused, she had always loved kits and treated them perfectly equal as everyone else. what karma has caught up to her. "n- no you must be confused I never underestimated kits- where did you even learn to talk in such manner?".

"You'd never!" she mewed, eyes widening dramatically. "You love me too much. Besides, it's not so hard. Just don't scare them off with your shadow, silly!"

"Oh, I don't need to wish, I know! Hm... well, either that, or you're trying to be my favourite with all these favours," she mused, tail twitching mischievously.

If Batflight was honest, she kinda did want to be Pearnose's favourite - but then, who wouldn't? She was fun to be around, always doing sweet things for her. She looked up at her friend from where her head was resting on her paws, feeling fond. And pretty too. The thought came unbidden, and she suddenly felt a little anxious.

"I'm just joking, of course!" she mewed quickly, then felt silly a moment later. She wasn't even sure what she was supposed to be joking about. And what was she even worried about? That Pearnose might think she liked her? She did like her - they were best friends! She batted playfully at her friend's tail, feeling a little out of sorts.

Shadefrost wasn't surprised by Darkcloud's response; her perpetual grumpiness was a predictable trait. Ears minutely flattening at the new nickname 'Cloudypoo', Darkcloud resisted the urge to roll her eyes or hiss in retort to express her displeasure but it certainly took a great deal of strength not to do so. This was certainly her least favourite nickname and she wouldn't hesitate to give him a little scratch if he called her it again.

And here comes the topic of smiling. Every time she spoke to Shadefrost he brought up smiling so much so that she was sure he had an obssesion with it. However, she hated smiling, she found no use in it at all it was just an expression and anyone who had the faintest clue who she was would know that she wasn't expressive...like at all. "No, I have not. As always there's nothing to smile about" she said matter of factly, not bothering to look up from her grooming and just kept trying to loosen the knot in her fur.

(Darkcloud and Shadefrost should have their own Sitcom it'd be amazing!)

She chuckled. "Well, I'll find out soon I guess. I'll try my very best to catch a minnow for you." She said. Pearnose wasn't looking forward to having to get her paws wet, but if it would make her friend happy it was worth it.

She flicked her fluffy tail back and forth as Batflight batted at it, watching with an amused smirk. "So, how'd you even hurt your leg anyways? It can't be too bad if you're only stuck here for a moon." She mews, leaning over to peer at Batflight's leg and see how bad the injury was.

"Thanks, Pearnose," she purred, sitting up to touch her nose gratefully to her cheek.

"It's not anything serious - I was catching a bird and when I leapt up to catch it I landed funny." She stretched her leg out to show Pearnose. "No cool scars to show for it, it just hurts when I step with it."
