The molly was surprised by the voice of a warrior. Especially one with no apprentice with them. She guessed it was her lucky day. Her luck seemed to be growing better. "I need help with battle training. I don't have a mentor and its the last thing I need for my finale assessment.", she meowed. Petuniapaw looked at her with desperation.

The apprentice was caught off guard a bit when the warrior charged at her. She tried to dodge, but she was far too late. She felt herself get crushed and she managed to get back up. She kept herself ready for what was next to come.

"That is apart of it yes but also watch ur opponents eyes sometimes it can give away their every move if they seem distracted." She mews to petuniapaw. She was a pretty good cat.

Keeping her eyes on Snowswtripe she was bale to dodge pass her in enough time to not get hit. Even after she kept her eyes on the prize. Petuniapaw wouldn't let anything distract her. That would end up being her downfall. She needed to be able to last in battle.

Not that he was growing concerned but... Kestrelstar was growing concerned. Whitepaw was among one of the cats who was going through a constant swing of mentors, and while he held none of the blame on her he wanted to try to speed up the process of her getting her final assessment done. It had been... somewhat of a struggle to get her out of camp but here they were, having arrived to the streams that weren't frozen near the training island.

"Have you ever caught a fish before?" he asked Whitepaw, swinging his head around to look at his companion. He decided to do away with the niceties, seeing as though he knew the young she-cat was most likely uncomfortable around him. It was just a feeling he got, that she wanted her apprenticeship to be over as much as he did. So he decided to just cut right to it.

Hmmm, the useless bird was being oddly, tolerable and getting to the topic, but then again, he must be getting as sick of her apprenticeship as SHE was. ' 'Nope, not that I can remember, and my memory is trustworthy.' ' Well, most of that was true, although I wouldn't call her memory trustworthy with the way she twists things into her favor.

the long legged apprentice looked at her mentor, the silvery-white she-cat looking tired but still ready for whatever her mentor had to say, "Ready as I'll ever be! Where will be starting?" she asked her voice quiet and tired though cheerful as she smiled up at her mentor.

Dewpaw saw a fish in the water, she scooped it up with ease. She was getting bored of hunting, she wanted to have battle training and learn to fight, but she did what she was told and hunted.

The orange and white warrior purred because of Quietpaw's cheerfulness and let out a mrrow. "Come on!" she meowed, flicking her tail to tell her apprentice to follow her. "Today we will practice some easy battle moves for a start on the topic. Come with me, over to the center clearing." She mewed while trotting, overtaking her apprentice.

following her mentor the silvery white apprentices paw steps were light on the ground below her feet, her ears perked and a smile on her face though her eyes were dull almost lifeless. "Easy battle moves, got it" she mewed readily.

Looking up at Ambermoon blankly for a few seconds process the question before she shook herself out of it opening her mouth to speak "Sorry, I haven't gotten much sleep as I've been having night terrors but that won't stop me! Continue please" the apprentice mewed quietly dipping her head slightly embarrassed. Yes she was tired but that wouldn't stop her from learning and becoming a warrior, she'd do anything to reach that stage in her life even though it may be a struggle for the young she-cat.

"Alright!" Ambermoon meowed enthusiastically. She stopped padding away. "Look!" She mewed. "We'll start by a 'easy' defence move. So, the back kick. When your opponent is about to attack from behind, look, balance on your front paws, and kick back with the back paws. It should be like---" She paused, leaping to her paws and delivering a mighty kick. "There. Try that!"

When Littlestag ran out of things to do, he got bored; when he got bored, he became restless; when he became restless, he turned insufferable. And as much as he would have loved to go bother some poor innocent soul, he figured he might as well put his desire to get something done to use.

So he'd dragged poor Wormbite all the way out here, in the middle of the day, for a brief spar. Littlestag shook out his thick fur, scattering water droplets every which way, as he dragged himself out of the river and turned to face his battle buddy. Wormbite was a strong cat, a good sparring partner; if Littlestag was out here to learn, maybe he'd actually pay attention to the dude's tactics, but he just wanted to get off his ass and do something. It was more likely for him to zone out than for him to actually try to learn.

"Come at me," he huffed. "I don't care if we use claws or not, I just need the thrill of something. Your choice."

The Shield was unsure what he had suspected when a spar was proposed to him by Littlestag. Wormbite couldn't recall the last time he had the chance to sharpen his skills when it came to battle, and the thought made him frown - it was a vulnerability he couldn't afford. Which means by all means, he was happy to oblige the warrior.

Pulling himself up onto the bank, he shook the water off with a sigh. It actually seemed like a decent day to swim .. a bit on the colder side but he was going to resist diving in until it was warmed up completely. He spent almost the entirely of leaf-bare being sick and wasn't interested in repeating a similar experience.

Wormbite leaned down to stretch his long limbs, misshaped ears perking up at the sound of a huff and a statement. Ah, he was going first he supposed. Not what Wormbite preferred but nonetheless, "You can, " was all he said in response to unsheathing claws. His would stay hidden but he couldn't really care if Littlestag decided to.

He was going to go off on the assumption that if Littlestag was accurate to his name - the warrior would be on the smaller side. A beat of silence. Wormbite charged forward, his paws kicking up dirt. Launching himself, he aimed a lashing paw to attempt to kick out his frontlegs. Hoping to unbalance him or at least surprise him. He skids to the side and then attempted to slam against Littlestag's side.

Oh, boo. Maybe Wormbite wasn't going to be as fun as Littlestag had thought. There was no use in using his claws if his battle buddy wasn't going to. "Meh. You're boring." Maybe with enough provocation he'd get Wormbite to show a bit of silver, but... his hopes were low.

Wormbite's assumption would be correct - Littlestag was indeed on the smaller side, but that didn't mean he wasn't fast. As Wormbite charged forward, Littlestag's eyes narrowed. At the very last second, he tucked and rolled to the side. His opponent's attack missed completely, succeeding only in scattering sand. His second, however, made contact. Littlestag was thrown to the ground. Quickly, he tried to wrap his forelegs around Wormbite's chest and wrestle the other tom beneath him so that he could lift a hind leg and direct a harsh kick to his stomach.
