Re: The Weeping Tree
(This is mainly a post establishing Sleepydaze's character, it's open for anyone to reply to :) )
Sleepydaze
Slacking off, dozing off. The new-leaf sun always made them so, so drowzy.
Sleepydaze was supposed to be hunting, or patrolling, or practically anything that would be productive- they just couldn't resist taking a bit of time for themselves. It's not like they'd been avoiding their responsibilities- they'd marked the border and caught a mouse, but at that point it was only sunhigh, and Sleepydaze had the entire afternoon to waste away.
They dared not to take a midday nap in camp, they'd get their head kicked in by a slew of impatient personalities. The dew rolling off the leaves of the willow were much better friends- more understanding.
It was certainly hard to climb up- especially when they were so tired, but they'd done this before, it was a fantastic spot for a nap- especially near dusk, as a ray of sun would shine directly on their pelt, warming them up.
They yawned as wind caressed the willow's leaves. They snuggled their body into a crook where two branches met, it kept their torso and legs supported so they didn't fall, mid nap.
What a wonderful wonderful day.
