Re: Scratch's and Rip's territory(Enter and be attacked)[Unless you're invited]

Rip was in shock. Coal was gone, dead. Gone forever. And while her father had managed to stamp most feelings from her, make her into the ruthless killing machine he wanted her to be, the feelings had begun to come back. It had started with Coal, continued with Blazing, and now, with the young tom dead, they had all come back and she wept, far from prying eyes. There was a new cat in the stump now, who she had no knowledge about other than they were here. She wanted to help them, keep what had happened to Coal from happening to them, maybe even hurt her father, but she wasn't sure she could. She was going to try though.
----------------
His daughter had been acting strangely, and he didn't like it. She was disposable now, and as Scratch patrolled the stump, where the now-filthy she-cat crouched in the darkness, he hoped she wouldn't do anything foolish. He could kill her now, he would kill her now if she put a toe out of line. And it turned out she would.
-------------
Her pelt covered in mud, Rip crept towards the stump. Claws unsheathing quickly, she sliced through the dirt, a tunnel quickly forming. Why the she-cat inside hadn't done so she was unsure, perhaps out of fear, but she was now. Her voice raspy, she called Come on. We're going. Hopefully the she-cat would get the message.
-----------------
Itzel heard a voice, her ears twitching as she saw another cat's muzzle poke into the stump. Slipping in the muck that she had been forced to live in for the past several days, her paws covered in the dirt, she slid toward the tunnel, pulling her thin body through it as rapidly as she could.
---------------
Scratch was no fool, he knew that his daughter had betrayed him. She had been near the stump to much, had to much interest in it, and had disappeared at midnight. No coincidence. His voice silvery smooth as he touched a claw gently to Rip's hindquarters Just where do you two think you're going? he asked, before slipping forward with the speed of a snake, driving Itzel into the tunnel and covering it in a matter of moments before smashing Rip over the head. You're coming with me.
-----------------
It had been going so well, and then there were stars, and she could hardly breath, and now she didn't know what was happening. She tried to unsheath her claws, to hurt her father, make him bleed, but there was nothing there. Her paws were leaking blood, and as she felt his rancid breath on her face as she was dragged back to the hole, she heard him mutter I should have known you were always going to be useless. before he clubbed her again and it went black.
----------------
Itzel had been panicking, her jagged, torn claws useless, as the tom came, clubbing her over the head and shoving her back into the stump with the other she-cat. It was only a while later that she realized she too had lost her claws to the tom, and was now almost completely useless.
-------------
He WOULD have his kits. He was not going to let his daughter get in the way of them, they would be his. Scratch knew he had to find some way to get her away from the area, somewhere else, and he knew just who he ought to talk to. First thing the next morning, he would be going to see Tear.

Re: Scratch's and Rip's territory(Enter and be attacked)[Unless you're invited]

Rather triumphantly stalking up the stump and tossing a mouse into it's depths, a scrawny one that it may be, Scratch purred You're going on a trip to see an old friend of mine darling daughter! Get pretty, I'll pick you up later! as he stalked past.
-----------------
Itzel was terrified of this cat, as scared as she had ever been in her life, and she had no intention of doing anything that might anger him. She could feel the life in her belly now, and knew that it was his doing, but that wasn't the main problem. The problem was that she was trapped here, and couldn't get out.
----------------
Rip hacked a cough as she began eating, consuming half of the mouse before setting about to groom her fur. Her father was just being his usual, arrogant self, and was probably messing around with her head. Still, it might be interesting to go along with it, at least until she could bite him.
-------------------
Scratch had not been joking, and later that day he was back, digging a tunnel through which he squirmed, this time seizing one of Rip's paws and dragging her out. Some crackling sounds came from behind him, but he ignored them, knocking her out before filling her fur with reeds. They would keep her afloat on her journey, which began unceremoniously as he pitched her into the river.

Re: Scratch's and Rip's territory(Enter and be attacked)[Unless you're invited]

Returning to the log, Scratch had some things to address with Itzel. Mainly what any escape attempts would be met with. His voice harsh and rasping, he mewed I know you have kits. I want them. I'm not going to kill you. at least not until he had them that was. But if you want to not live in there, there's going to be some conditions. You will stay within the borders at all times. If you don't.....I'll make it even worse than it is now. and he had some ideas of how to do that too. You will obey me, and do as I say. Any prey you catch will be given to me. I'll distribute as I see fit. he would have figured that that would be a given, but it was good to put it out there. You will not speak. He wanted the kits sole attention on him, and on him alone. If it is necessary, I'll cut out your voice box for that one. he added menacingly, before digging his claws into the wood and yanking out a section. There. Come on out. And get started expanding the den. I want some amount of peace from the kits when they arrive. He knew perfectly well that without her claws any obstructions would be torturous to remove, but oh well. She had a while.
----------------
This cat was on another level. So terrifying she couldn't find any amount of arguing, just nodding mutely. No talking. On shaky legs she made her way over to the den, weak from lack of food for the past while. Her mouth began to water as she saw the rabbit, warm and decently plump, but she couldn't say anything. She began scratching off little bits of dirt from the wall, her clawless paws smarting and the work torturous without claws to loosen hard packed earth.
-----------------
Walking in, Scratch was pleased to see that she was working, albeit at a very slow pace. Seizing the rabbit, he began to eat it slowly, the bone crunching sounds filling the cave as he finished it. Only a few tufts of fur were left. Padding outside, he returned with some thunderpath kill, something he had found a few days ago. Tossing it toward her, he grunted roughly Eat. before stalking out of the den.

Re: Scratch's and Rip's territory(Enter and be attacked)[Unless you're invited]

Staring in momentary disgust at the scrawny morsel of crowfood, Itzel was in no position to do anything but eat, taking a break from the monotonous work. As she gobbled it up, she barely tasted it, instead taking a look at her already sore and cut paws. Taking a moment's rest, she lie there before drifting off.
----------------
Returning to the cave, Scratch had expected to see much, much more progress than what greeted him. He had also been expecting to find the she-cat working, not sleeping. Clawing her nose roughly, he bundled her out of the cave with a hiss. Until that is finished, you sleep outside. And he knew for a fact that it got mighty cold.
------------
Itzel was greeted by the dawn light with another blast of wind, twisting though her thin fur. Small plants everywhere were covered in frost, and she got to her feet as quickly as she could. She needed to find prey, the food from the day before having done little for her. Scenting the air, she moved on weak legs, finally tracking down and catching an old, tough blackbird. She knew she was supposed to give it to him, but such a little prey couldn't hurt, so she began to gulp it down.
-----------
Scratch had no idea how stupid this cat was going to be. Two broken rules in two days? Something was clearly wrong upstairs. But he needed those kits. As he stood over her, fur puffed out, he hissed Give me ONE good reason I shouldn't slit your throat right now? There weren't that many rules. Not that hard to follow them. before seizing her collar and dragging her behind him, to the cave. Rolling a boulder up to the entrance, he huffed During the day, you work on that. This stays here. At night, I put you somewhere else. You stay there. The. End. before leaving it and her in the cave.

Re: Scratch's and Rip's territory(Enter and be attacked)[Unless you're invited]

Life settled into a routine for Itzel. Do things, go to bed, eat, do things, go to bed. The eating wasn't great, but it was better, and she finally completed the expansion, meaning she was allowed to sleep inside. Until she began work on the next projects, some small rock stacks and vines and stumps for the kits to play on, and filling the entire room with moss. That was the worst part. No claws made moss collection very difficult, and it was weeks before that was done.
-----------------
Scratch was pleased he had gotten her under control, and began to let his guard down, allowing her a lot more freedom in coming and going and even leaving the boulder away some days and nights, allowing the breeze to filter into the cave.

Re: Scratch's and Rip's territory(Enter and be attacked)[Unless you're invited]

Itzel was ready to get out of here. Life hadn't been bad the past few days, but it was nothing like the life she used to know and love. So, the boulder left ajar, she slipped out into the night. As she moved along, her gait a fairly sustainable trot, heading for the twoleg place, she was angry at the belly. She had kits, it had been clear for a while, and she could not WAIT to find some way to get rid of them. As the dawn approached, she hid under a fallen tree to wait for the next night.
------------------
As Scratch awoke it was easy to tell something was wrong. Itzel was gone. His hiss low and menacing, he took off moments later, covering the ground quickly. He could scent her, and he had no intention of letting her get away. He found her at sunhigh, hidden in the log, and wasted no time leaping upon her.

His claws sliding out, they first found her shoulders, pressing her spread eagle into the ground. His voice low, he spat Why should I NOT kill you? before sliding a claw slowly and deliberately down her side, cutting though flesh. His other claws followed, raking long slashes down her thin body, before her bit down upon her ear, grabbing and yanking on it until blood flowed freely. His rage was rising now, and he continued to claw and claw and claw at her, the ground around them running red. And then she broke through, her gasping voice that said the kits, the kits were why he shouldn't. And he had to agree, he couldn't kill her, not yet. Seizing her tail, he began to drag her, pull her along, not caring what got in her wounds, all the way back to the cave, where he threw her roughly into the stump.

[ @gs29513 ]

Blazing limped into the clearing, remembering the place. Rip ... she had finally found it. Scars decorated her back, while there were new ones from a now attack. One ran from her left shoulder, down her flank and then down her left hind leg, while another ran from her left shoulder to he rump. her right flank was still bleeding, her pelt soaked in blood. "R...Rip?" she called quietly, before repeating it louder.

Re: Scratch's and Rip's territory(Enter and be attacked)[Unless you're invited]

He could smell blood. Tangy, metallic, and most certainly cat. Sliding out of his den, shaking his pelt quickly, Scratch moved fluidly towards the wounded cat. He recognized her. That one Rip had been hanging about with. Perhaps part of the reason for what had gone wrong with her. He wasn't sure. He suspected so. His voice a slithering hiss, he mewed Oh, she's not here. Something went wrong with her you see. She went mad. No, you won't find my daughter here. Although there would be more daughters soon, at least he hoped that would be the case. @Lynxpaw

"Mad? I highly doubt it" Blazing scoffed. "So Scratch ... Two things. How are you? And where is Rip?"

Re: Scratch's and Rip's territory(Enter and be attacked)[Unless you're invited]

She was awfully demanding, and that was enough to convince Scratch to let his claws slide from their sheaths. He stayed back though, and humored her for the time being. I am delightful. he purred, windmilling his head in a small circle. Rip went downstream. Far, far downstream he would imagine if Tear hadn't gotten ahold of her. @Lynxpaw
