☄. *. ⋆ Ospreypaw

His eyes had been closed but he heard things happening around and when he heard the voice of Cinderpaw he snapped opened his eyes, still filled with blood but he could see through the red haze, Cinderpaw. Not even caring about the dead body of the Shadowclan cat and the blood that was covering the large grey apprentice, he just got up quickly and shoved his head into her neck, crying quietly, "Thank you Cinderpaw."

Don't look down.

The first comprehensible thought since she arrived. Don't look down, don't see the red. Stand straight, stare straight. Ignore everything. Ignore the sounds, the scents, the sights. Nothing was happening, all was well, everything was okay. She was back in the clearing, outside the nursery, sitting next to Cinderpaw, watching Hazelpaw, Goldenpaw, Pebblepaw. Watching them be stupid, watching them perfectly safe at home, no scars, no blood. Everyone was alive, everything was normal, nothing was wrong.

Falling down.

The strategy was working, her mind clearing as her eyes shut. Ignore it. Ignore it. A shriek cut through her moment of clarity, and eyes were opened and body spinning towards the source of the noise. Cinderpaw. She heard the name. She wasn't supposed to be here. She was supposed to be safe. There she was, racing towards the form of a bony lump looming over an apprentice. No, no, no, no. Why was this happening, why was this happening. Help. Cinder no. Cinder no. She couldn't move, couldn't turn away. Couldn't do anything but watch as her friend tore her apart. Watched as claws and teeth flashed, blood sprayed. Watched as the life drained. It's not her fault. It wasn't her fault. Foxflurry tried not to blame her, she begged her subconscious to believe her, that the warrior deserved it.

Falling Down.

She couldn't do anything but watch as the life drained and she stared at Cinderpaw. Fear. Pain. She couldn't hide the plain terror shown on her face. Claws tore into her back and she fell. Struggling to turn and face her attacker, eyes widened as pain rippled through her body. This was real. It wasn't inside. It wasn't imaginary. She was bleeding. Something feral was released within her, and she launched her body upwards. Let me go, let me go, LET ME GO!

London Bridge is falling down.

Green eyes wide, spittle flying, claws outreached, lunging at his throat.

My fair lady.

MAKE IT STOP

Thornclaw || Shadowclan

Thornclaw got caught by her claws in the throat. He stopped, as blood pulsed from his neck. Then, he snarled in disgust which only resulted in him bleeding more. The tom tried swiping a clumbsy paw at the warrior, Foxflurry.

~ It had been a normal day in the life of the Shadowclanner apprentice.. or well he thought it was going to be a normal day. The silence of the clearing had been broken by distant yowls. Daypaw stopped doing whatever he was doing. What the hell? What was going on? It seemed once Daypaw asked himself those questions Oliveglow called out in the clearing. Frostscreech, Whisperingwolf, Ivyleaf and him? why him? Probably due to the fact that Daypaw was along the first group of cats Oliveglow saw. Daypaw didn't have time to question before Oliveglow ran out along with the others called, so Daypaw just followed in suit.

When he got to the border that connected his clan and Thunderclan, his eyes were met with blood, death, fighting and yowling. Daypaw froze in place. Did Frostscreech say something to him? God, he didn't know. Everything was happening all at once. The apprentice felt his breathing grow quicker as he stood there. With him becoming overwhelmed with all the fighting and such the paw didn't notice how more Thunderclan squirrels seemed to appear. It was when Daypaw noticed a Thunderclan warrior was leaping towards him and calling him a monster and killer. The apprentice quickly moved out of the way of the warrior he didn't want to know the name of. ~

Pebblepaw
---

As a kit, Pebblepaw had always longed for attention. Like many other young Thunderclanners, her mother disappeared as soon as she got the chance. Her only daughter was left to be raised by whoever had time for the orphan kit. And in the tuxedo kit’s eyes, no one ever had time for a rascal like her. She was too rambunctious, too curious, too much. I just want someone to look at me! I’m here! I’m right here! Why does no one care?

Now with the myriad of concerned looks of the Thunderclan warriors stinging her pelt… Pebblepaw wished she had never existed in the first place.

Their harsh words were nothing more than white noise in her ears. As each and every one of them hurled some sort of blame her way, all she could do was look down at her bloody paws. I-- need to get it off… I --

The little cat frantically licked at her blood stained fur like a dehydrated dog licked at a puddle. The white parts of her fur were stained pink, evidence of her desperate attempt to clean the blood off of her still dripping wounds. “He looked right at me. Bluetree he-when he died he… oh stars.” She returned to her licking, ignoring the nauseous feeling in her stomach at every metallic tasting tongue swipe. Had Flamechaser made it out? Or had the ghouls… Stars was she the only one left? Tear filled eyes shot over to Redstalk, but the question never left her mouth. All she could do was stare. Was this what the outside world was like? Would every choice she made from now on lead to someone’s brutal death? Was Starclan punishing her for being a bad child? Stars were they going to strike her down to the Dark Forest now? It’s what she deserved wasn’t it?

Whatever the warrior was saying to her was lost. Her attention was drawn to to the sounds of the battle she had just fled from. Wails and screams for help. "It's my fault." She croaked. "Redstalk I did this. They're all dead because of me!" The urge to burry her head in the warrior's coat finally won. She whipped around to hide from the world in Redstalk's chest, wishing that she had never left camp.

Re: come on, everyone, let's tear into each other

Shadowfur's head snapped to the side as a ferocious snarl rose over the screeching and pounded his eardrums. He saw a cream-and-orange tom flinging himself at Daypaw, a look of pure, unbridled hatred on his face. Accusing the apprentice of murder, of being a monster.

The apprentice moved in time to avoid the attack. He had a look of dissociation on his face, his breathing quick. This must be his first battle.

Snarling, Shadowfur leapt at the tom that had attempted to rip Daypaw's life from him out of a misdirected desire for vengeance. He spread his front legs apart, aiming to wrap them around the enemy and bring him down to the ground. "Need an opponent?"

He wouldn't acknowledge that he saw the tom attempt to attack Daypaw. That would require him to give a rebuttal for perceived cowardice; something he did not wish to do... yet.

Re: come on, everyone, let's tear into each other

Roosterflame slammed into the ground when he missed the cat by a longshot. As his shoulder slammed into the mud, his fury washed away as he saw that the cat he had flung himself at… was only an apprentice.
The blood roared in Roosterflame’s ears.
Oh my god, Roosterflame thought, terrified, I could have seriously injured him. Oh no. Oh no. He’s young, too. Golly, that was… bad. I’m sorry!
Roosterflame was about to stand up and do… something (maybe… apologize? What do you do during a battle when you really don’t want to hurt anyone?), when this big guy, black-furred and absolutely terrifying. Looked like Death himself, lunged at him.
WHO IS THAT?
Roosterflame scrabbled in the mud, trying to get away, but the merchant of death landed squarely on him, wrapping him in a full-muscled embrace. Roosterflame’s adrenaline levels shot up.
Oh, no. He’s going to kill me. Dear GOD, I’m sorry that I went after that little dude! Uh… StarClan help me? I don’t know. What’s a good thing to cry out in this kind of situation?
Roosterflame let out an involuntary hiss as he was slammed into the ground by the ShadowClan warrior. He didn’t want to fight this guy. Sure, he was as good a fighter as anyone, but he hated bloodshed and death and truthfully… he was afraid of death.
Roosterflame opened his mouth to explain himself, but thought the better of it. Sure, yesterday, they could have been friends, but tonight? Tonight his clanmates had murdered his, and vice versa. There was no friendship now. And Roosterflame had to man up and play the war game.
“I sure do,” He retorted in a half-hearted attempt at being quick and snappy (He had no idea how to be like that. He was just A Guy. What did he know about battle talk? Next to nothing, that’s what.), “And you’ll do nicely!”
Roosterflame reached around the ShadowClan scary guy’s forelegs and slapped at his eye, hoping to not injure his eye at all, but to hit somewhere near it so he would recoil, letting Roosterflame go free. Roosterflame was actually quite terrified, and the idea of being stuck in this position didn’t help.

Re: come on, everyone, let's tear into each other

Ospreypaw's embrace made Cinderpaw want to reel back. He... he wasn't attacking her. He wasn't being attacked. He was okay. Quietly, Cinderpaw grabbed his face and turned it up towards her. Nasty scratches laced his face, almost mirroring her own. Bile rose and burned the apprentice's throat. She... she couldn't fix this. The same thing that had happened to her had happened to him. But she could try to make it better.

Ushering Ospreypaw over to the sidelines, her eyes flickered around the snow and foliage that lined the battlegrounds, searching for something, anything familiar... and then, there it was. A familiar stem. Marigold.

What was it used for? She couldn't quite remember what exactly Sundust said it was, but there wasn't any time to waste. She rushed over to the plant, taking it between her jaws and chewing it into a paste. Silently, she beckoned the younger tom over to let her apply the salve onto his face. Even if this didn't do anything, it was worth a try, right? It's not like it would poison him or anything.

Darkfall
___________

Darkfall had come out here expecting a peaceful hunt. Perhaps some pestering from his companions, as Shadowfur had dragged both him and Larkfire out here together (seriously, what was his deal with that?) but nothing more than that really. Of course, while the group was out there, they were confronted by the screams and growls of cats near the border. What in StarClan’s name is that? He didn’t have much time to think about it because Shadowfur went running off to the border almost immediately.

Unhappy with how quickly things were moving, the large warrior turned to his companions, only to see Mossfang rush off. Grumbling briefly, he pivoted to Larkfire and gave two simple commands ”Let’s gol,” was the first one, and after giving his friend a long look he relayed the second one ”Be careful.” Having said his piece, he ran off after the other two warriors.

What lay before Darkfall when he arrived at the border was pure chaos. Cats fighting, cats dying, and cats already dead. And the blood. By the stars, there was blood everywhere. The black tom looked at the cats that had died and offered up a muttered prayer to StarClan for them. It was clear that this battle was far from over and he wondered how many more lives would be taken and what could have possibly escalated things this far. With quick sniff of the air, he was able to distiguish the scent of ThunderClan over the smell of iron and he had a vague idea about what happened. The ThunderClan cats must have gotten caught crossing the border without realizing that Dawnstar’s trespasser policy was to kill on sight. Well… sucks to be them, however, he did realize with narrowed eyes that the squirrel-munchers were doing relatively well and causing a lot of issues for his clanmates. He was going to have to get involved… Ugh. Not wasting any more time at the sidelines, the young tom jumped right into the thick of things. He was going to defend his clan, even at the cost of his life.

(p.s., sneasel totally has pp perms to give gale a scar or somethin. he'd think it's the best thing to ever happen to him)
Galepaw

Yes. Yes. More blood was flowing from his enemies. The apprentice could feel the adrenaline surging through his body from his ears to his toes. A maniacal grin split Galepaw's face as he relished in the pain he caused. But it seemed his enemy was unfazed. In fact, they seemed to ignore him in favor of Wildpaw. No, that wouldn't do at all.

"Hey, you pathetic, weak-ass excuse for a warrior! Come fight someone your own size!" Galepaw called, hissing and spitting in the ThunderThief's direction.

@x ghostie
[rolled a 16]

My death? There were a few things wrong with this one, and they shook their head at the other cat, displaying disgust at the others failure of returning the words poetically. "You'll be the one dying, I'm afraid." Besides, they were the one who had called for this challenge, and they would be the one coming out victorious. This one was nothing but dirt to be stamped into the ground, a miserable excuse for a warrior. Whisperingwolf was proving to be nothing more than another disgraceful Shadowclanner, weak in the mind.

The other warrior had jumped past them, and they tsked as they turned around. Boring, this was, really. The other cat clearly had no thoughts of having fun with this, going for a simple attack, something that had already been avoided. Claws dug into the grass and they sighed. "Bro, come on, we're fighting, put some effort into it-"

They cut off as the large cat lunged at them, and they hissed, ducking down and rolling to the side, slightly off balance as the sprang to their feet, though they played it off with a dance forward, head tilted. Oh. Another giddy laugh broke from their maw. Perhaps- perhaps this would be some fun.

Myrtlenose leaped back at Whisperingwolf, claws outstretched as they reached for their paw, hoping to hook it and bring the Wolf crashing down. Hopefully not on top of them.
