[ yes @Octavia! ]
Soft, upturned soil licked Tinystorm's paws as he neared a suspicious hole in the ground. The stench of rot was stronger here, and even in the mist he could see the familiar, mangled form of Blizzardwind. Something had dug the fallen warrior and partially tore him apart. It was repulsive, and he took a step back with an expression of disgust. Bubbleheart's call came moments before disaster. Beneath the putrid scent of death was the underlying reek of dog, and he hardly had time to react before a gurgle reached his ears. "Mosstalon!" His own voice was a howl - furious at the blurry sight of his apprentice in the teeth of mutts. Tinystorm surged toward the pair, outstretched paws reaching to slam into the dog's neck. By no means was Tinystorm a small cat, but this beast of a dog was something else - his weight did little to dislodge it from Mosstalon. A snarl erupted from the air. From what, it didn't matter. Tinystorm's claws ripped along the dog's throat as the dog shook Mosstalon aside, sending the young cat flying into gnarled roots. Now, the dog's full attention was on Tinystorm. Teeth and claws clashed. In Tinystorm's wrath, he underestimated the presence of the dogs. It was more than just this brute, but he failed to recognize that as several more dogs filtered into the foggy clearing. They were outnumbered. But to him, they were barely getting started. All he saw was red - fury at the damage done to his son. [ @dino. ] |

Bubbleheart(blue and white molly with blue and green eyes)
The Vixen Bubbleheart growled as Mosstalon was torn apart. The dogs were surrounding her and Tinystorm, who was focused on avenging Mosstalon. She charged at the dog with claws unsheathed, carefully aiming her strikes. |

Hooked into side of the dog's jaw, Tinystorm ripped his claws down to shred into the dog's lips. The dog yelped and recoiled, shaking its head as it snarled toward him. Teeth snapped down onto his back, and he felt himself being pulled back. He twisted around, kicking toward the second dog's chest as his claws slashed toward its face. In all his anger, Tinystorm was beginning to recognize how dire the situation was. If their patrol had been larger, he would want to stay and fight - to get Mosstalon back-- but they had already been shortened and it was just them. They couldn't afford more deaths. "We need to go!" His voice was a rough hiss as he ripped free of the dog, painfully staggering away. The dog pursued him and he smacked it, trying to keep it at bay. "NOW, BUBBLEHEART!" [ @Octavia! ] |

Re: Sleepy Thicket
Once Bubbleheart was out of immediate danger, Tinystorm backed off more. He had been hissing and snarling at the dogs, back arched and ready to smack them if they drew any closer.
Running seemed like a bad idea when the dogs were so fired up, so Tinystorm looked for alternatives. He knew of the tunnels nearby that'd lead to camp, and that the dogs wouldn't be able to fully follow him. "Come on, mutts!" He spat in a dog's eye before he bolted, the pack behind him as he jumped over a gnarled root. He could see the tunnel just fox lengths ahead. Closer, closer-‐- Teeth snapped down on his tail, but against the pain he jerked free and disappeared into the hole. His tail stung like hell, but whatever the damage he was alive. And the dogs would pay for this transgression. Tinystorm slunk through the crumbling tunnels, heading back toward camp. [ @Octavia! ] |
Re: Sleepy Thicket
Tinystorm had been in camp for the last few days, trying to heal up from the initial attack. Mosstalon's body had yet to be recovered; outside of the initial reaction, he hadn't heard much. He was pretty sure they hadn't left the freaking camp, but he was trying to be positive about this.
Trying, but not succeeding. The closer he got to the thicket, the stronger the reek of dog .. He didn't even get a chance to reach the edge before the woods around him exploded. Snapping jaws sought to take him, but Tinystorm reacted faster. He sprang to the side and ripped his claws across the dog's cheek, only to feel sharp fangs tear into his shoulder. Quickly, he recognized how surrounded he was. So, the patrol had all been for show. He knew damn well no one had come back injured. These dogs bore no fresh wounds.. A pit formed in his stomach as he tore free, hissing and clawing his way from the dogs. Teeth tore his fur, ripped his skin, reopened older wounds. But he had to be quick, not sparing a glance backwards. The thicket remained overtaken, and with it the remains of his kid. Pikestar didn't give a fish about them. He let this problem fester, and Tinystorm.. The dogs were too close for him to try to get into the tunnels again, he'd just be snatched. With the energy he had remaining, he made a break back to camp, a trail of blood in his wake. |
