When the huge tom heard a rustling noise and saw the little form of a familiar kit's head, he perked up his small ears. Rainkit! Bearspot's eyes shone as his small daughter raced towards him and stopped at his huge paws. She was dwarfed by his large size, but he was as gentle as a feather as he crouched down to meet her amber eyes. She looked so fragile, yet her eyes were as bright as the golden sun. "Hello Rainkit! It's a pleasant sight to see you so happy." Rainkit was quite an excitable kit, but it still warmed his heart to see her as bright as she usually is.

He then looked over at Hollowkit, and his eyes brightened as he saw the typically reserved kit smile. Bearspot knew Hollowkit wasn't as cold as other cats perceived her to be, but she did have a habit of hiding her emotions. It was an uncommon but memorable sight to watch her smile with tender feeling. "I'm glad that you're doing well Hollowkit," Bearspot turned his head back towards Pebblepaw. "Thank you for asking, Pebblepaw."

Rainkit smiles and attempts to climb onto her father's back, her tiny claws clinging to his thick fur as she does so but ends up tumbling and pouting, huffing at her failed attempt to be taller than her great father. But she quickly shook it off as she hopped around his giant paws. "Papa I'mma be giant like you one day! Maybe even bigger!" she exclaimed with determination.

* She padded into the nuresery and layed down in her nest. She sighed and laid her head down on her paws. One moon and no contact with Stormpelt. This was the worst punishment since being an apprentice. With a final sigh she closed her eyes and started thinking over the day regretting every moment of it. *

" Tell him I love him and that he is my one true love. "
* She laid her head back down and fell asleep. *

* He stood up careful not to wake her and padded out of the nursery. *
