Re: Seastones
Crowpaw Feeling the warmth of his fish-scented grandpaw wrap itself around him, Crowpaw felt he could finally express his feelings and not get criticized for it. That had been what frustrated him the most, so all he could do right now was let out the tears in his eyes and ball like a little kit and feel the relief come out of him. Quietpaw... she loved me. She had to... otherwise she wouldn't have saved my life. "H-how... how will you make it right? You aren't in ThunderClan..." his pupils grew bigger with confusion. Of course, Pondwhisker could switch Clans or simply meet up with his family in ThunderClan more often, but what would his grandpaw choose? |

Jayflower dipped her small, short, paws into the water... woah cold! she shivered and drew back, wet sand coatting her silver paws. *ew*

"For the apprentice death? Mousepaw?" The one he hadn't denied the last time it was pinned to him? "Why are you telling them and me this now and not when it was first brought up?" |

Although it wasn't annoyance at Bumblestar, but instead towards whoever was framing him, and he himself for not realizing that's the route they were taking. "Woulda told them immediately had I known. Now we gotta be on the look out for a framer." the tom smacked his paw against the dirt below. Tail lashing, and brows furrowing. "Ain't an apprentice killer, I have standards." |

She knew something like this would ever happen intentionally, but she knew how fights got. Bloodlust was blinding and mistakes were easy to make. What was frustrating was her deputy's refusal to own up to it given everything WindClan had stacked against it. Or maybe he really thought he hadn't. "I can't call out framing if it's pretty clear it looks like you did it. You've already got warriors' deaths over your head, 'n you didn't try to argue the kid when they first called it out - looks like you waited 'till I'd handed over territory 'n herbs to contest it to get the heat off your back. It's not a good look, 'n I know you've got your limits, but right now I'm not too inclined to lean to your side of this. They knew to call you out for this." She flicked sand off of a forepaw and sighed. "Just watch your claws from now on. I won't do anything about it this time since everything's already handled, but next time someone says you went over the border 'n killed someone, you're not gonna get the same luxury." |
Re: Seastones
[This seemed like a good place to move this] The WindClan leader watched as the clans dispersed, and heard Dusklion's pitiful attempt to defend herself. She said she didn't cross the border, but nothing about not killing Fallownose, which is what Twilightstar was concerned about. Twilightstar didn't need to bother with an answer, Fadingsun was already leaving without a single word in his deputy's defense and RiverClan with him. A gleeful smile formed her maw as Dawnstar and Bumblestar joined her after sending their clans home with their deputies. She hoped once this was all said and done, she could finally focus on finding a new WindClan deputy. She watched the clans depart for a moment longer and then turned to the she-cats. "I'm going to make this quick. I want RiverClan to go. Not forever, just a few moons, maybe two, three if we want to be extra mean. I'd like ThunderClan and ShadowClan to help WindClan chase them out. RiverClan keep getting worse and worse and relying on their leaders and deputies to keep order isn't going to work. I want to show them as a united front that the Clans won't tolerate their behavior or instability any longer; and that they must start getting their act together or they'll be treated and remain in the outskirts like the rogues they act like." Twilightstar meowed. As RiverClan was now, she could imagine their ancestors rolling in their graves with disappointment. Or not, they'll probably get a kick out of it. "Of course, I'm doing this out of the good of my heart. This will be WindClan's way of reminding the fish what happens when they wrong WindClan." Twilightstar shrugged her shoulders after stating her desire for revenge honestly. "Once RiverClan is pushed out, if you want to take chunks of their territory, you won't hear any complaints from WindClan about it. I could care less whether it's returned after RiverClan's time in exile is up. I doubt I need to ask that their kits, elders, and queens not be touched as well as their medicine cats and herbs. If you're open to it perhaps allowing those who no longer want to remain in RiverClan places within your clans as well?" Twilightstar paused to hear what the other two had to say or offer. @dino. @Undertaker |
Re: Seastones
Dusklion's defense only made Bumblestar flick an ear. Twilightstar had never struck her as a liar, and in any case, the damage was already done. Fallownose had already been found dead, and the dead did speak. Really, it was the fish's fault for thinking she wouldn't get caught.
She watched Spiderthroat lead the Clan home (his joke brought a twitch of her whiskers and the urge to bap him on the head in response), before turning her attention to Twilghtstar as the Seastones became empty once more. ...Driving them out. That was the plan? Just for a few moons, it sounded like, but it still made Bumblestar's claws scrape the stones. The sight of Twilightstar's smile made the corners of her own mouth tick upward. "They need to be put in their place. They've been going after my Clan for seasons 'n even though they seem to have gotten bored with it since we've gotten stronger, it seems to me they still don't know how to keep themselves in check. That is to say I'm down for this. Maybe a couple moons in the outskirts will finally teach 'em to keep their claws to themselves given the way they've turned on you. You can count on my Clan's help for this." Having just given Cattail Pond up only to drive them right out of it again was a bit annoying, but all clouds had silver linings, or whatever the saying was. If RiverClan managed to handle the badger and they weren't using it, Bumblestar would take the piece of land right back. It would be a waste to just leave it sitting untouched. "My Clan should already know the limits when it comes to fights, but I'll make sure to give 'em a reminder." If anyone got their claws bloodied by kits or queens, they'd find their blood painting Bumblestar's claws instead. And she'd have to make sure they knew to focus their efforts solely on RiverClan, no one else. "About letting the fish in... I'll have to get a general opinion on that. Most of us don't have anything good to say about 'em. But I'll keep that path open just in case." Running her tongue over her jaws, Bumblestar glanced to Dawnstar next, curious if the ShadowClan leader wanted any part in this at all. [ @Undertaker @Moonraven ] |
Re: Seastones
So she did kill Fallownose then. Dawnstar glanced at Dusklion after she tried to defend herself. RiverClan's high ranks' inexperience could be seen a mile away. Neither Fadingsun nor Dusklion didn't know how to play with the big dogs. Bumblestar learned how to avoid taking accountability fast, Dawnstar was an old pro, and Windclan rarely did anything wrong. The ShadowClan leader didn't think Fadingsun or Dusklion would stick around long after this, so she supposed there was nothing for them to learn. Oh? Bunnystar wanted to push RiverClan out of the forest. She felt like WindClan was being too nice here, but as Dawnstar had no stakes in this, unlike ThunderClan and WindClan, she'd let the other two do as they wanted and play along. "Seeing as I'm here purely for entertainment." Dawnstar meowed after Bumblestar. "You can count ShadowClan in. As we're getting free territory and a chance to fight, I can't see a reason to reject the offer. I don't care how many moons you want them out two, three, four, whatever you two think is appropriate for their crimes." She meowed with a faint smirk to match the other two. "I can assure you that none of mine will lay a claw on the fish not fighting. However, I can't promise anything if they start biting." She didn't care who it was if they injured her clanmates they should expect to get injured back. "I've already taken in two former guppies, if more want to join, I don't see a problem so long as they pull their weight." Unlike WindClan and ThunderClan, ShadowClan had no reason not to take in wayward guppies. Dawnstar had her little grudge, but once this raid was over it could be considered settled. @Moonraven @dino. |
Re: Seastones
Well, they were being way more compliant than Twilightstar had expected. It was nice to have a mutual enemy for once. The scarred leader tilted her head thoughtfully; it seemed the other two cared little about how long RiverClan was kicked out... or rather didn't mind letting her decide that. Twilightstar had little doubt that if left up to Dawnstar or Bumblestar, both mollies wouldn't mind booting RiverClan out permanently. Both younger leaders seemed to have similar unforgiving and nonsense leadership styles. Understanding at times, but ruthless at others. A troubling thought popped into the Twilightstar's mind. A decent friendship could be formed if they weren't in opposing clans. They'd butt heads here and there but ultimately would be a force to be reckoned with when they reached an agreement. Twilightstar shuttered a little at the thought of a clan run by the two. Not needing any more nightmare fuel, Twilightstar shook the intrusive thought away. "Let's do two moons then, that should be more than long enough for the RiverClan to learn from their mistakes and organize themselves. If not, we can always chase them out for longer." She meowed. "Before we let them return, I believe it'd be in our best interest to get a guarantee of no retaliation from RiverClan. In return a ceasefire from ThunderClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan. We don't need to forgive them or forget what they've done, but this war must end at some point." She looked at Bumblestar as she spoke. As Dawnstar stated she didn't have as much on the line as WindClan and ThunderClan. @dino. @Undertaker |
Re: Seastones
Looked like Dawnstar was in, too, if only just for fun. RiverClan was about to get what had been coming to them for a long time, and Bumblestar couldn't wait to see the looks on their faces when it hit. "Two moons is fine by me. Maybe it'll give 'em some time to think 'n redirect their issues." It wasn't that long ago that ThunderClan had gone through the same issues as the fish were now, but the simple difference between them was that her Clan hadn't terrorized another just for the hell of it.
She exhaled as Twilightstar glanced to her. "If they can keep their paws clean after coming back, I'll make sure my Clan keeps off 'em. But I can't promise to keep it that way if they start testing our borders again. If they hit first, they'll be hit back." She sincerely hoped their current leader, if he even lasted for the duration of the two moons, had the sense to keep his Clan in line following their return. She would make sure her cats didn't start fights, but if they had to finish them again, then that would be RiverClan's own fault. [ @Undertaker @Moonraven ] |
