@Buzzin' Bee @~LeafRabbit~
The apprentice looks between the two warriors before Hiddenpaw shakes out his fur. He follows Berryflare. He feels stupid, for he was about to agree with Specklemist's questions, but he then had decided to follow Berryflare. He sniffs the border awkwardly. |

Re: Sleepy Thicket
Fogcloud hummed lightly as they patrolled the area, once again it was clear. They flicked their tail back and forth as they quickly scented and replaced some of the dead decaying flowers on graves with fresh ones before nodding and walking back to camp.

His dusty pink nose twitched, a scent drifting through the air and catching his attention. He followed the scent trail towards a nearby thorny bush, the scent of squirrel growing ever stronger. There was no sign of Weaselfang, the tom that was supposed to have been with him on this trip. Ah well. Just another chance to show what he could do alone, without any help from stupid mentors. Refocusing on the squirrel, he wiggled his hauches, springing forwards out of the grass. The poor rodent let out a squeal which was promptly cut off by a swift hip to the neck. There, one down, two to go. "Now maybe Gingerfrost will get off my tail." He muttered, off in search of more prey. After catching a mouse and another smaller squirrel, Beechpaw turned back towards camp. |

@~LeafRabbit~ | @Marksman After a while of walking Berryflare and the apprentice had reached the border. She looked down at him. She didn't know how old this apprentice was, but she just assumed he was pretty young by the way he was sniffing the border. "Do you know how too mark the border?" She questioned, eying the border too figure out which method would work best. Soon after looking around she found a bush which she could demonstrate marking borders one if the apprentice didn't know how too. Just as Berryflare wondered where Specklemist was, she watched as the warrior ran over. "Hello, did you catch the prey?" She questioned, licking her paw as she waited for the apprentices, and Specklemist's response. // Sorry if this is roleplaying your characters, I just noticed what you guys wrote. [@/~LeafRabbit~] wrote "then raced off to catch her patrol mates at the border." So I just assumed she made it here by now. And [@/Marksman] Wrote "He sniffs the border awkwardly." So I just realized he must have already been at the border // |
Re: Sleepy Thicket
Specklemist quickly retrieved her squirrel from earlier, then started looking for more prey to hunt. Thankfully it was Newleaf, so prey was abundant and finding a couple of mice wasn't too hard. There, three pieces of prey, minimum amount to finish her punishment reached. Specklemist returned to camp.

No Nightmist? Hmmm, that was fine. Less cats meant less he had to worry about! Not like he worried much about others, but ya know, the whole leading a patrol and being responsible thing meant he kind of had to. [ @TawnyNeedsACoffee - Daypaw ] |

Mumblepaw They/He/It | Post Count: 39 No attachment. No connection to these two. Gingerfrost would be disappointed. Maybe even disown them.. but Mumblepaw sneaking out of camp was nothing new at this point. But… they brought her back before- why not now…why not them both. It had been plenty of time for their bodies to heal, so why weren’t they back…. Claws on dirt. It was soft dirt, freshly dug up. As some small tree roots scraped their paws, Mumble couldn’t help but keep going. The light pelt clashing with the black leg as Mumblepaw stopped. Get up. Your body fine. Get up. Silversnow get up. “why no move. move. they sent you back…..didn’t they?” Mumblepaw sniffed, paw pads now aching from the small cuts that caused them to bleed. Wincing as they placed them both on the ground. “Ow”The learner mumbled the word softly under their breath. The moon now clearly gone and the sun almost at its highest peak was a sign they had to go. They didn’t want to go…Martenkit would lonely when they woke up. Who would want a kitten to be lonely… Mumblepaw refused to leave him here. The learner felt tears forming in their eyes, sniffling as they tried to keep it together. Silvers now and Martenkit were lonely, Mumblepaw knew what it was like to lonely at one point. Nobody wanted to by lonely. Head now turning to Silversnow, maybe she had used her one chance, and to protect Martenkit at that and at the cost of her second life. Mumblepaw tried to wipe away the tears as they pushed the dirt gently fully over the silver tabby shecat like before. Martenkit was only down to one, they had another chance, Silversnow…Mumblepaw was unsure. The stab of guilt now sending a message through their pelt. Its eyes now going to Martenkit’s grave, the soil stained their paws from their previous attempts to reach Silversnow. The learner didn’t fully unbury Martenkit, only poking a small hole for air in the grave. Only a claw wide, unnoticeable unless you knew it was there. Now stopping and staring at their slightly bloody paws, disregarding how painful it was to stand on them as they curled around the kits grave. If they had to wait days or even moons they would. Making sure Martenkit wasn’t lonely was a small price to pay. |

As JaggedRose neared, she could sense the weight of grief and guilt that hung heavy in the air around Mumblepaw. The calico she-cat lowered herself gracefully beside the young apprentice, her vibrant eyes filled with empathy and understanding. "Mumblepaw, I see the sorrow in your eyes, and I sense the turmoil within your heart. Your love and devotion for Martenkit and Silversnow are evident, and it is understandable that you wish to keep them from feeling lonely. But tell me, what weighs upon you so heavily that you are willing to wait, even endure pain, at their gravesides?" Her voice carried a soothing melody, inviting Mumblepaw to share their thoughts and feelings, and offering a comforting presence in this moment of distress. |
