Silverkit purred, her anger melting as he buried his face into her side. "Sh, sh, it's ok." She murmured. Putting her tail lightly on his shoulders to comfort him, she thought, I will protect you, brother. Our nonexistent mother left us, but I will never leave you. She vowed. "How about we go back to the nursery? It'll be warm and safe there, and anyways, I'm a bit tired. The nursery queen's will not hurt us." Silverkit meowed out loud to him. She lead him through the entrance, the warm, milky scent hit her nostrils in a wave, and she was soon comforted. Weary on her paws, she curled up in a corner with one last look at her brother before she closed her eyes in a nap.

Fireflykit shivered,"Y-Yes please!" He followed her, seeming to be stuck to her flank by some invisible force.

Silverkit kept her tail along his back protectively. She heard some cat whisper, "I don't know how they work together so well, or how she deals with him." Holding her head high defiantly, she led him into a musty, but well padded corner in the nursery. Silverkit curled her body around him as much as she could as they lied down, her eyes closing into a dreamless sleep.

The small grey kitten bounced around the nursery, hyper and full of energy from his recent nap. His hazel brown eyes light up a bit as he scanned the nursery for the familiar pelt of his mother, Flashbee. He wiggled his nose a bit, ears twitching. Flintkit's tiny claws kneaded the dirt as he glanced around again. "Momma? Flashbee?" He asked softly, wondering if she was even in the nursery. He sneezed softly, his fur raising from the air that exited his mouth and nose. He wasn't quite used to calling his parents by their names yet but was adjusting to it.

Flashbee came up behind Flintkit and picked him up by the scruff and layed down, setting him between her front paws and she started grooming him. "Right here Flintkit." she said quietly and smiling.

His face immediately softened, he wasn't worried anymore. The kit smiled, looking up at his mother. "Oh. I didn't see you." He mewed. Flintkit flicked his tail, feeling calmed by Flashbee as she groomed his dark grey fluff. The small kit raised his ears, blocking out the other sounds in the full nursery so he could focus on Flashbee.
