Coral followed them and glanced around at all the noises, the forest seeming less scary than it once was. He had held back his questions for now, storing them for this "Lionstar" cat. |

Re: Cattail Pond
Koistream lead the way, his rhythm to walking was still a little on the unsteady side but he would no doubt get a better grip on that sooner or later. The calico feline sighed happily as he looked upon the pound, wasting no time to take a small dip in. "Just as refreshing as I remember!" The water was delightful on the Tom's body, this was truly his home.

Re: Cattail Pond
Sparkblaze waded in, then purred. "This feels nice." The molly remarked. She paddled around, and eased her cuts and scrapes. "Huh, no wonder we're called RiverClan." She mused, giggling.

Re: Cattail Pond
Koistream perked up as he found walking along the pounds bed a lot easier, his weight supported by the water as it cushioned his body in its coolness. He hummed quietly to himself. "Is there anything I've missed since being away? Other than spending time with a cute molly like yourself," he asked, resting in the water with a content purr.

Re: Cattail Pond
Winterbadger yawned a bit and looked over at the ither warriors, her white coat a bit damp because of how it rained earlier. She smiled and got up to go back to laying down in between some cat tails, the warrior trying to sleep until sunhigh.

Re: Cattail Pond
She dipped her face under the water. "N-no...not really." She said, coming back up. "Did he really think that...? He's probably just messing with me." She thought. She purred, and splashed water at his face, giggling.

Re: Cattail Pond
Koistream giggled quietly as the little white curls on the top of his head were damped. he floated about, chirping and quaking like a duck as his little stub of a tail was raised above the water. Koistream felt himself relax doe the first time in days, enjoying the waters sensation. He purred softly, floating over to the Molly and gentlt bumping his head into hers. "Thank you for this,"

Re: Cattail Pond
"Oh...uh, you're welcome. I should be thanking you also...I don't really have much fun." Sparkblaze smiled at him, then dived under the water, ending on the opposite side. "This is fun, I don't really swim that often.." She thought.

Re: Cattail Pond
Koistream paddled across the pond to the other bank, laying his body on top of the soft watery dirt as he began to groom the part of his body that emerged from he water, giving his ginger and black shoulders a quick yet effective scrub.
His blue and green eyes watched the Molly with content, a small pang at his chest as he remembered Sandwhisker, the way they had played in the water only the leaf bare prior. Koistreams mind began to wonder, where had she been? Where was she now? No. Best not to dwell, he thought. "The sun makes your eyes beautiful," Koistream purred his compliment with a sweet smile, "The way the water reflects against them is... stunning.." @-Cloud- |

Re: Cattail Pond
Hollywatcher smiled as she saw that Fernpaw was indeed following her. She flicked her tail and stopped at the pond. She gave a friendly glance at her apprentice. It was a shame that it had to be Lionstar that finally got them to start training but she wasn’t going to dwell on that. She was just glad that she was having some one on one time with Fernpaw. It’d be a good way to get to know her. Hollywatcher looked back at her. “So, are you ready?” @I am FLOWSTREAM |

Splashfury finished hiding the heron and fetching her perch. She heard a splash and turned to find that Coastpaw had caught a fish. She smiled back at him and meowed in approval, "Nice! Also, good instincts to watch the fish as that dude who is now going to replace the fish on the pile. Would you like to go back now? I think we could feed half of the clan with your big fish and the heron I er 'hunted' XD." |

Fernpaw bounced in excitement. "I'm ready!" she squeaked as if she were still a kit.
Sorry if this was short, I'm kinda busy :) @RainbowQuail |
Re: Cattail Pond
"I-uh-uhhh thanks!" The tiny molly squeaked, blushing. She hid her face under the water, and popped up on the other side of him, smiling. "This is my new favorite spot!" She declared, lifting her paw out of the water, and cuffed his ear playfully. She then dove away, waiting for him to come after her. "Or maybe he isnt playful...then i'll stop doing that for now." She thought, focusing her eyes on Koistream.

Re: Cattail Pond
Koistream squealed with laughter as his ear was hit. He poked out a bright pink tongue, playful expression across his snout as he went to swipe her back but being the idiot he was, fell into the water without his front leg support. He squealed as he jumped out of the water and into the back, squirting water out his nose. "GAAAH!"

Sparkblaze laughed, and jumped out, wrapping her tail around her paws. "So...?"
She meowed, hiding a smile. [ @Scum ] |

Hollywatcher nodded. She twitched her ears and looked at the pond. She took a deep breath. Why was she nervous all of a sudden? Was she nervous that she wouldn’t train Fernpaw properly? If so, there was no need. All she needed to do was teach her what she knew. Yet, that didn’t help. “When you’re waiting to catch a fish, you need to make sure that your body isn’t directly above the water nor is your shadow casted on it.” |
Re: Cattail Pond
Fernpaw looked at the cattail pond, then did what her mentor told her. As she approached the edge of the water, she stopped, making sure her shadow wasn't lying on the water. "Is this good?" she asked her mentor, hoping she did it correctly.

Re: Cattail Pond
Hollywatcher nodded and flicked her tail in approval. “It is great. Now crouch down, like this.” The beginning is quite simple. She hunkered down into a crouch. She let her gaze rest on Fernpaw. She’d make a great warrior someday, maybe something more then a warrior? She wasn’t going to settle her expectations just yet, although it’d be hard to not have any. She needed to focus on the present. That’s what she always told herself when she started setting high expectations on cats she barely knew, yet she was already quite fond of Fernpaw. She let her mind ponder on what Fernpaw said. From what she knew of her already, she was going to ask that question a lot. Despite her apprentice wanting to do good, she figured it was best to work on that sometime soon. Seeking approval was good in some cases but not for something as easy as that. @I am FLOWSTREAM |
Re: Cattail Pond
"Okay..." Fernpaw copied her mentor; she lowered into a crouched position at the edge of the pond, looking at her mentor. "Now what?" she asked, trying to sound polite. I don't wanna ruin everything! she thought, panicking inside.

Re: Cattail Pond
Hollywatcher gave her a warm smile and looked back at the pond. Now, the next step was to actually catch the fish. She unsheathed her claws and narrowed her eyes. “When you see a fish at the surface, dart out your paw with your claws unsheathed and bring it out out of the water, make sure to keep it away from the edge and then bite into it’s neck. I’ll show you.” She swayed her tail, watching the movement in the pond. Then, she saw a black figure of a medium-sized fish swimming at the top of the pond. She quickly darted out her paw and hooked her claws into the fish, quickly pulling it out of the pond. She set the fish down as it flopped around and sunk her teeth into it’s neck until it was dead. She looked at Fernpaw. “Now you try.” @I am FLOWSTREAM |
Re: Cattail Pond
Fernpaw's eyes were wide with surprise, seeing how her mentor caught the fish. "Alright..." Fernpaw unsheathed her claws like how her mentor did, doing her best to keep her shadow from falling upon the water. After a little bit, she saw something shine in the water, darting here and there. When it came closer, Fernpaw shot her paw out with one claw, but she wasn't fast enough, for the fish hurried away. "Dang it," she muttered, irritated.
