[Drizzlecloud has called for herb patrols, and if you’ve been mentioned, you’ve been placed on one of them! If you do not wish to be put on a patrol, please vm me and request to be replaced within three days of the patrols being organized. (If you want to be replaced, let me know before November 11th.) These patrols will be due by November 21st at 11:59 PM EST. If you need an extension, please let me know before then, however, you may ask for an extension up to three days after the due date (November 24th). If this is done, you may still be subject to very minor punishment (such as a scolding, as well as Drizzlecloud’s disappointment!). Lack of communication whatsoever will result in a moderate punishment. Communication after the due date will result in a minor punishment. Communicating that you are not able to finish the patrol on time/asking for an extension will result in no punishments. When it comes to replies, bumping someone after 48 hours with no response is acceptable, but after 72 hours you may skip their turn. Patrol leaders, please remember to add your patrols to the patrol menu! That’s where she wanted to go, to check and see if there were any signs of the flower there. She flicked her tail, eyeing her apprentice [ @eris ]thoughtfully before she glanced elsewhere, seeking out another cat who would be good company. “Mistheart [ @Jayvines ], I’d like for you to come with Springpaw and I to Firefly Cove. I have a feeling that we’ll be able to find that flower that Starclan revealed to Bumblestar… Hopefully, at least.” Flicking her tail, she motions for the two to wait beside her while she sorted out the rest of the patrols. “We’ll also look for marigold while we’re at it–and anything else we can find, too.” Patrol Two: Comfrey, Cobwebs, & Extras [Optional Prompt: While plucking up an herb from the forest floor… You find that there was a spider using that herb as a rest spot! While we check out Firefly Cove, could you take a patrol out–general territory, anywhere would work–cause I want some more comfrey in our storage… Some cobwebs, too.” Hopefully Bumblestar wouldn’t be upset that she wasn’t going to Firefly Cove to look for that flower, right? Hopefully not. She just trusted Bumblestar more than some others to lead a patrol–cause, well, she was the leader. With a flick of her tail, she glanced over at the other heads in the clearing. “Take Dawnshred [ @Ladiebugg ] and Mushroompaw [ @ChaosBringer. ] with you. Comfrey has large leaves and purple flowers–they usually dangle rather than bloom upwards, though. Knobbly, dangly, purple–and with big leaves!” Patrol Three: Parsley, Cobwebs & Extras [Optional Prompt: Pay your respects if you so wish. ] “Okay, last patrol is yours, Bitterblink [ @RavensCall ]. I’m sending you, Sagefern [ @Galaxy_ ] and Redpaw [ @poppy ] to Willow’s Rise.” After waiting for the trio to gather, she flicked her paw before deciding to continue with her explanation. “You’ll be looking for parsley in particular. Long, leafy green plant–the leaves are kind of ragged and crinkly. It’s smells fresh and sharp.” With a nod of her head, she waved them off with another flick of her tail. “Be safe! Also, look for some cobwebs while you’re at it… And anything else you can find, for that matter. @GhostlyStarfinder Roseraven returned with her oatrolmate in tow to drop off the herbs. She was oddly comforted by their scent, reminding her of the medicine den. It honestly smelled better than all the cat farts in the warriors den. |

Again, so sorry! ________________ Larkswoop bounded into the clearing, blue eyes flashing. She stopped beside Spiderthroat and Bumblestar, dipping her head respectfully, her tail whisking. Lifting her head, Larkswoop's neck fur and tail were fluffed up uneasily. ''The patrol was good, at least until we smelled something....rotten,'' The warrior explained. ''I couldn't tell what it was, but it was strong, foul, and obviously dead.'' Larkswoop shared a glance with Wolfpaw, then looked back at the High Ranks. |

Wolfpaw was close behind Larkswoop, but the haul back to camp left him exhausted and out of breath. ".. We didn't get any huntin' done, and Rowanhowl was no help." Disappointment stung at being ignored when he asked for training assistance. Larkswoop, despite earlier irritating him, at least made an attempt. "The smell of rot.. was overwhelmin'. I found bloodied moss that reeked of it and discarded it in the river, but there might be more that was missed. Should.. look into that, make sure there ain't anythin' left to attract predators."
On another note, Wolfpaw looked up at Spiderthroat. His breath was mostly caught, now. "Get the bees outta your brain next time you set up patrols, dude. Chickadeesong was on an herb patrol already." [ @Starfall, @lynxyboo ] |

Spiderthroat He/Him || Poisoned The tom looked up as a pair of felines approached him. Ears twitching as one of them appeared to be out of breath...while the other...well. Spacey was a wonderful way to describe it. Eyes fixing on the sandy colored one, a tight frown on his features. "Next time don't be so last minute. You're not the last of the patrols to report in...but you're pretty close. Next time you make time this close it'll be your head." a narrow of the eyes before he fixed his posture. "But your ability to attempt to get things done isn't under appreciated. Thank you for doing the patrol in the first place...unlike your companion here." To which he turned his attention to the other one. He didn't think it was possible to be grumpier...but here he was. He had a tummy ache, his head hurt and he was not pleased. "You." he began at Spottedfire , "You will go on a solo patrol to collect moss for the nest bedding, for the elders den and medicine cats. I trust you're able to complete a simple job." a pause as he took a step forwards. "If not you'll be re-evaluated as a warrior." he said. For some reason, patrols got decently done when he wasn't deputy. Half of him was proud for his clanmates for sticking it to the ranks, but also it was pretty aggrivating when they didn't listen. Remember Spiderthroat. Murdering your Clanmates is bad...if you get caught. [ Spottedfire's Solo patrol is due on Monday Nov 13th 11:59pm make sure she reports back here and mention me /w\ ] The feline watched as a warrior made his way towards him with a catch of two fish. Although he didn't see his patrolmates with him. This first batch of Patrols were really biting him in the butt... Ear twitching the tom listened intently as the other spoke up about ice. He'd have to keep that in mind, make sure they had a little area where they could continuously catch fish. "Thank you for the report. I'll be keeping that in mind. Go drop the fish off in the fresh kill pile." he instructed. @BEAR. (manual mention for u bc I didn't wanna go back n quote) @redshiftreign [You're good! Bear asked for an extention so you're early! All good :heartbounce: ] Yep. That's not what he wanted to hear. Rotten. Just as he was about to ask if it was dealt with, the Apprentice spoke up. Oh good, into their water supply. Hopefully it went downstream towards RiverClan, so they can get a taste of their own medicine. "That's alright. I'd rather no prey than tarnished prey to get even more sick." he began. Taking a mental note of Rowanhowl. He'd be speaking with the tom later. But than the apprentice spoke up again. Ah. That would explain why he didn't receive an answer from them as they were called. A twitch of his ear as he processed the information, before leaning backwards. Keeping eye contact with the tom. "Thank you for tellin me, sorry you had to pick up for my mistakes. Next time when I ain't poisoned I'll be sure to listen more intently." |

Okay, yeah consider both the warriors he got assigned with a bust. No wonder Larkswoop didn't have an apprentice if she couldn't even read the room. Spiderthroat handled his words without issue, recognizing the validity behind not paying enough attention being an issue.
Larkswoop... Wolfpaw hissed shortly. "Are you one to talk? You didn't want to report the rot to him because "you don't trust him" and you completely skirted over how little the patrol actually accomplished. Not to mention Rowanhowl's absence." This was ridiculous. "We need to get you a bird, so it can repeat the dung you're spewing back to you and you can hear how dumb you sound." Harsh as it may be, he was straight up done with this cat. There was only a brief respite in her talking down to him, and her overreaction to a mild comment to Spiderthroat (which, Spiderthroat had been fine with) was the straw that broke the camel's back.
"Don't need to be a warrior to report anythin', I dunno why you're tryna throw your rank into this. Maybe Spiderthroat should just make me patrol leader next time, considerin' I did half the work reportin' back." He hadn't missed her skirting around the Rowanhowl issue, or how the patrol objectively was unsuccessful - a hunting patrol was suppose to hunt. Funny how she only focused on what she perceived to be an issue, but he supposed that wasn't surprising considering how self-absorbed she seemed. "Keep Bumblestar's name outta your mouth 'til you earned the right. She's my ma, and I ain't doing anything I know she wouldn't do. Your warped perception of reality ain't our problem." Seriously, if Larkswoop wanted to be around a bunch of brain dead cats who bobbed their heads and questioned nothing, she could go join RiverClan. Wolfpaw wasn't here to hold her paw and sugarcoat things, he was speaking his mind as any cat in ThunderClan was expected to. ThunderClan had gone through their phrase of mediocracy and lackluster accountability and it had nearly destroyed them. Perhaps if Larkswoop was more familiar with Clan history, she would've known apprentices stepping up, questioning authority, and makin' sure things were done -- Bumblestar being one such apprentice-- was a huge step in ThunderClan becoming a functional Clan. He'd actually be surprised if Bumblestar had an issue with him right now; at this point, this half-wit warrior was just tryna step all over him, and he wasn't about that. [ @lynxyboo ] |

He flicked his tail, as if dismissing her existence. She hadn't proven to be worth more energy, so his attention focused back on Spiderthroat. He wasn't like those felines that complained about drama as he made it, no he did his best to stay around sensible cats but it seemed as though he was in the wrong clan. Letting the kit talk for himself, as it was mostly about him in this case. His eyes closed tightly as he ran a paw over his forehead, rubbing it gently. Oh. They were giving him a headache. Ear twitching once he realized oh joy the kit broke it off, and the warrior was attempting to slink away. Eyebrow twitching as he straightened his posture. "Stop." he barked. At which point if she were smart, she'd turn around. "It's not my duty to meet your every expectation 'n truthfully I don' care either." he began. At this point he was beyond un impressed. "I don't care that you don't trust me, that's your problem 'n you should work on it." a pause "As well as your mental state. Imagine arguin with an Apprentice, and said apprentice winnin." he deadpanned. "He gave me a full report, while you yourself glazed over all the bad 'n tried to pass it off as good. What if I didn't know the prey was still rotten over there, and had Clanmates catch it and feast on it?" he asked, picking himself up and walking towards Larkswoop. "I would have made sure you watched as our Clanmates bled out, suffered, 'n' ached because of the poison you allowed them to indjest." "He's not in the wrong. He informed me of something I had messed up, and had the guts to do so. You however, proved time and time again during that entire interaction that you are a coward with the intelligence of a 2 month old kit who throws tantrums." a snort as he narrowed his eyes, a frown tugging at the corners of his maw. "You both seemed to be throwin Bumblestar's name around like a threat, keep in mind I'm the newest threat. Since you want to act the age you're able to comprehend at, you'll be sleeping in the Apprentices Den for one moon. You'll also be unable to leave the camp without a 'Warrior' since you seem to be quite impressed with the responsibilities of real warriors. Hopefully after this you'll learn how to be come one." A pause as he let the other drink in all of what he just said. "Any questions? I don't care about your comments so you're free to keep em to yourself." |

Most of Spiderthroat's words were for Larkswoop, but it did strike a nerve when he commented regarding Bumba. "I wasn't..." The intent was merely a correction, not to throw her name around like someone else tried. Wolfpaw sighed, deflating down now that he had disengaged from the conversation. He had other issues to deal with and continuing would get them nowhere. "I found moss that smelled of rot, but we didn't see any signs of it being prey related. I dunno how it's impacted it, I know a lot of prey that's made cats sick seems... Normal." No signs of anything concerning, until it was too late. "Might want to send someone to investigate further, without the source who knows how long it'll reek."

That was a good sign! “As long as you do your best, there is nothing more that I could ask for. Thank you, Mistheart.” Then her apprentice arrived, and noticing the quizzical look that was sent her way, she simply offered her a reassuring smile–the sooner they started searching for this mystery herb, the sooner they would be able to solve this mess. “Alright, let’s head off.” [ @Jayvines @rudolph ] |
