Re: ThunderClan | ShadowClan Border
[ @Bluepetal yeah absolutely! ] Buckbranch had already managed to sniff out a mouse nest, and he was creeping up on it silently. He could hear their tiny claws scrabbling in the dirt - it sounded like three or four of the tiny creatures lived there. He paused by the edge of the den. A second passed, then two pairs of ears poked out, then two snouts. In a flash of claws he had hooked both out of the nest and into the air, effectively killing them. He buried both in the snow by a tree trunk and swiped his tongue around his jaws before turning to head back to Springpaw. He wasn't comfortable leaving the young cat and his own for so long. |

"Oh ha ha" His tone was humorless. He shook his head. "Only a she cat would feel the need to go to the medicine cat for a little bit of blood. Weak" He narrowed his eyes as she remarked the markers he had remarked. How dare she remark the marks he already marked by remarking! But he returned her smile, and it was almost genuine, except for the way his lip curled to show his fangs, voice dripping with sweetened venom. He straightened, and looked at her. "That's exactly what I was thinking, marking the borders. Especially to show Thunderclan how well associated our male and female warriors are." |
Re: ThunderClan | ShadowClan Border
@CheetahPelt Her ears perked up at that first part. Then a red flag went up inside of her by the sound of it, he's also someone who thinks she cats are meant to be below toms...I could be wrong though...I need to keep fernpaw away from him just in case ...I don't want her getting hurt....but then again..she does need to learn how to fend for herself ...mousedung! "us she cats also have something called emotions dear. We have the ability to bring life into the world, so yeah of course we would . Icestar doesn't seem like it but she can be just as worrisome and carring. Though she may choose not to." she meowed with a lift of her chin. But the last part kinda boiled her insides a bit. Though she chose to keep it under wraps "good for you . Smart . " she praised before sighing. "anywho ....I think with what you've done and fernpaw and I've done is good enough. Thunderclans noses will be clogged with our scents by now " she meowed . 'I'll head back with you. Perhaps you could tell me a few of your tales along the way? I'm always interested in a cats past. " with that she waited . But she did try to keep his attitude under wraps just by giving him what she thought he wanted ...right now she was thinking praise and perhaps someone to boost his ego. Then again she could always be wrong . |
Re: ThunderClan | ShadowClan Border
@Starfall @ponyapan Sunsnow flicked his tail, diligently padding towards the border. It was a shame he had to leave Mosspaw behind, yes, but at least he had his other patrol member. After walking the border for a few fox-lengths, the tom caught a... strange scent, to say the least. He paused, frowning. What is that? Sunsnow turned around, hoping to catch Cranerose with his gaze. "Do you smell that, too?" |
Re: ThunderClan | ShadowClan Border
@Starfall @Vessel
Cranerose caught the smell just as the tom turned around and adressed it. It was stale and feint, but definetely there. Meeting his questioning gaze with her own confused one, she froze in place, listening for danger. There was nothing in sight, and only the calm sounds of their territory could be heard, so she shrugged. "Yeah... I can't put my paw on it, but I think it's old, at least," she answered at last. "I think we should investigate it, actually." She let the sentence hang in the air for a moment, before breaking eye contact and crouching closer to the smell. It was close. |
Re: ThunderClan | ShadowClan Border
@ponyapan Sunsnow nodded, stepping closer to the border. He opened his mouth to drink in the scent, studying it carefully, though it was hard to find when he was so close to Shadowclan's overpowering marker stench. Aha! Twolegs. But... different. His gaze swept across the land, the rancid scents powerful in his mouth. There- sunlight glinted off a strange object in the grass just beyond his paws. The yellow-orange tom leaned forward, peering at the source of the twoleg scent. it seemed like piece of ice, only it was... green? all around it, in smaller shards, was more ice. Strange. It should have all melted by now. Sunsnow turned around to face his patrol member. "Hey, Cranerose, check this out! I think it's some sort of green twoleg ice." |
Re: ThunderClan | ShadowClan Border
@Vessel
Something shiny in the grass had caught Cranerose's attention as well. Sneaking closer, it looked like a grey, shiny twig. The strangest thing was that it had three identical, sharp prongs on the edge. It was almost mesmerizing, and reminded cranerose of a pretty rock she'd found as a kit. It was cold and heavy to the touch. Sunsnow's call brought her out of her daze, and she padded over. "I found a twoleg stick, but what do you mean by green ice-" The green shards of ice came into view. "Oh." At this point, the Twolleg smell was strong, and even though it was apparently stale, it put her fur on end. "It's... like nothing I've ever seen. Why would you need green ice? If it's from the twolegs, though, nothing good can come out of it." Turning around, she scanned the area around them. Indeed, she found something else slightly shiny. It was like a gray, cylendrical hollow, with twined grass twined into a string at the top. "Over there, too!" she called, and nodded at the thing. Was this some kind of new nest, or more hopefully waste left behind? "I do think we need to report this." |
Re: ThunderClan | ShadowClan Border
Since recovering from his ..poisoning, Falconpaw had been in a sour mood..
Despite his reservations about death, a part of him wished Hailstorm had not found him outside of camp. He.. had never felt more alone in the world, now that his parents were gone.. and he was angry. Bitter that the Dark Forest had trapped him in this hell called Clan-life, because nothing here was right. She-cats still playing warriors, toms defending their choices-- a lack of respect between the superior Tom sex and the inferior she-cat. She-cats in power, a total.. brutalization of how Clan society should be. And they were all blinded by the Dark Forest, accusing him of having wrongful beliefs but he knew he was right. His parents died for this, he would have died for this-- and they-- Were just as closed-minded and heartless as ever. Falconpaw took a seat near the border, wrapping his scabbed tail as close to himself as he could-- another indication of the Evil at work here, the loss of half his tail to a silver looped trap. Of course, it was not like many of these demon-lovers cared.. they were so focused on their 'equality' to notice how they went against StarClan's Will. As he gazed up at the broken bits of sky through the canopy of trees, he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye. At first, his fur bristled-- hackles raised as he prepared for whatever monster the Dark Forest would throw at him now, but, instead.. It was a she-cat across the border, and he snorted as he laid his fur flat. "Should not you be in the nursery, she-cat?" [ @hxneysuckle ] |
Re: ThunderClan | ShadowClan Border
[ @BILL. ] One pawstep, then another. And another. The act of walking was quite the intricate process despite being so simple all the same, her brain sending certain functions of which allowed her to propel herself forward. Eaglespark had been focused on the ground as she walked, examining each step she took as her mind worked to proceed with such actions. She held no care for what happened around her, her expression holding no emotion with each movement she enacted. However, she had soon reached the border, gaze climbing up to look over the boundary between two Clans. Silently, she questioned the border. Why do you exist? Eaglespark inquired, allowing her paw to brush over it. Scent marking imaginary boundaries between each Clan, separating them into two territories despite all sharing the same land. Briefly, she wondered, would it not be easier to all live as one Clan? Apparently not, given how they had all been living apart for moons upon moons. Maybe someday they would come to their senses and put aside brainless disputes, but today was not that day. But when that day would come, that day would become today. Time was a rather fuzzy subject to think of. Was it not a theory? She did not know. One cat had decided to create a theory for the days which came and went, and from then on the Clans would believe it. How strange, holding one cat accountable for such a broad, imaginary subject. Time was not an object- it could not be held, smelled, tasted, or heard. Each being across the land could only hold thoughts of time, without having learned the construct of it. They simply knew what it was. How interesting. Eaglespark was pulled from her thoughts as she heard a voice from across the border, gaze sluggishly trailing from where she had been staring at the border. A ShadowClan apprentice, it seemed. She had been learning herself some moons ago, yet she found that she preferred to be a warrior. It allowed her to be alone, to think her thoughts that she wished to think. Eaglespark's expression neither changed nor did she blink, staring at the young tom and pondering over the words he had spoken. Ah, she had not met one with such beliefs before. She wondered what could bring such beliefs to fall upon the mindset of a young tom, unblinking as questions formed in her mind. A silence dragged on for many, many moments before Eaglespark's head tilted to the side in the slightest, a barely-visible movement that only the most attentive would be aware of. "You hold the belief that I am to be within the nursery," she stated, "If all she-cats were in the nursery, would it not be crowded? Kits could not grow in such small space." Eaglespark flicked her gaze back and forth between each of his eyes, seemingly thinking over her words before she spoke. Words were such dislikable things, and yet she found she wished to use them with this young tom. She wanted to know more. "What has brought upon such beliefs, I wonder. Do you wish to believe such a thing until death takes you into its embrace? Quite the interesting mindset for such a young apprentice to behold." Most of her speaking was to herself, though she stared at the ShadowClan apprentice impassively. It was certainly quite interesting. |
Re: ThunderClan | ShadowClan Border
"Hah!" Falconpaw had to throw his head back in his laugh at such an absurd question. "What a foolish question for such a simple-minded she-cat. You expand the nursery, sweetheart-- we expand dens as it is, why not the nursery? Besides... kits leave the den, they grow in the camp. The den space is for sleeping and tiny kit play. The clearing is for intense playing."
Of course, one of the many she-cat 'warriors' would have such stupid inquiries.. he shook his head. "I was Enlightened by StarClan's Will itself, and the words of you-- she-cats and she-cat want-to-bes, they will not shake what I was Told." [ @hxneysuckle ] |
