Groom their pelts…okay. Papa… OrangeFlower dragged herself over to FoxSkipper and crouched by his side, carefully licking his pelt. Maybe it’d warm him up enough to restart his heart and bring him back? Yeah…she knew that wasn’t how the world worked, but right now that little flurry of hope was all she had. DragonflyCliff could groom the other elder, yeah?…

Hoping the final closeness Dragonflycliff and Orangeflower got to their dead was a comfort Mudhound gentle rested a tail over Spiderpaws back, murmuring "Youre being very brave right now. Im proud of you kid." as they worked together, digging the hole. It was bigger then a usual grave, needing to be able to fit two cats, but eventually it was done deep enough no rogue scavenger would disturb the bodies.

The next part was always the hardest, and gently nudging Spiderpaw the tripod thanked him with a "Good work, thank you. If you want to go say goodbye you should do it now." before moving over to Wolfhawk, pressing face into his fur and sighing sadly before informing him "I think nows the time for final rites, half an eye on the grieving family."

"You know, sometimes I wish I could kill spirits. Again. Because that one deserves it."

Dragonflycliff glared at the empty air where that creature once stood, the words still lingering in her head. For as much as she did want it dead, it was dead already. Not much she could do.
She sighed. "Don't listen to it. I doubt it wants to help us. Not after Ashpaw was sent away because of it."

Dragonflycliff was no longer bothered with Echobarley. He wasn't special. Why he could go to the Dark Forest for this!!

Dragonflycliff took the distressed fur licks of Orangeflower as a sign to go help Mudtrot. She sighed. She didn't really... WANT to do this. It felt... painful, as if they'd be forgotten. She looked at the limp body.

Touching a paw to Foxskippers head, she walked over to the other elder and groomed his pelt, trying her best not to start crying. There were apprentices. If the hornet saw her as weak and unable to handle this, they would kick her out. That made sense.

If she couldn't handle this, how would she handle anything?

So the elders were now prepared, and wolfhawk nodded as Mudhound spoke to him. "Mkay," the young medic told their former mentor. He didn't really know what to do or to say, but oh well. He pressed his nose to the elder's pelts before speaking. "May StarClan light your path. May you find good hunting, swift running, and shelter when you sleep." He backed up, allowing the family members to say their good-byes one last time. "Well that's all I can do. We can look for some herbs on the way back to help em calm down if needed," wolfhawk muttered to the hornet, shuffling his paws. He didn't really know the two elders as well as the others there did, so it felt a bit awkward being there for the large medic.

Re: Willow's Rise

Mallowswarm

Soon Cicadapaw arrived, and Fernwhisper spoke, saying that they should get going. The other warrior looked at her, and for a moment Mallowswarm wondered why she was not just heading out, before realising that, as the patrol leader, she was supposed to lead the way. Of course. She must have waited too long, because from behind her Orangepaw asked if they could leave now. "Yeah, let's go," she replied quickly, feeling her face heat up with embarrassment. With that, Mallowswarm padded out of camp (it felt strange to have the rest of the patrol behind her; she was used to following behind cats, not leading them) and started walking towards Willow's Rise.

The cemetery was eerily quiet. A hush had fallen over the area; the only thing Mallowswarm could hear was the patrol's pawsteps. When she looked up, she could see a dark cloud blotting out the sky. It was only a sign of incoming rain, but it made her fur prickle. She didn't know if it was because of the silence or the fact that this was a graveyard they were standing in, but she suddenly wanted to leave as soon as possible.

Not yet, though. She had a patrol to complete first. Trying to ignore the unease that twinged in her chest, she cast her gaze around for cobwebs or moss. Soon enough, her eyes caught on the latter, growing on a rock; she scraped it off, taking care not to shred it. There wasn't a lot, but it was something, and she was sure her patrolmates would find more. Mallowswarm picked the moss up and moved on.

Fernwhisper followed behind the apprentices, keeping watch that they don't wander off. The warrior tried to ignore the nagging feeling of unease forming in the sky as she found some cobwebs.
(D20 rolled a 15 - 3 cobwebs collected)
Being careful to not rip them apart Fernwhisper collected three bunches of cobwebs.

Cicadapaw followed the warriors as they set out on patrol, their paws carrying them toward Willow’s Rise - the clan’s cemetery. It was a place Cicadapaw had never visited before, despite its nearness to camp. His birth mother was buried here, though he had no idea where exactly; she had passed shortly after giving birth to him and his siblings.

As they crossed into the clearing, a heavy silence settled over them. No birds sang in the trees. No prey rustled in the undergrowth. Even the wind seemed non-existent. Cicadapaw’s fur prickled uneasily. He lifted his gaze and spotted a large, dark cloud swelling in the distance - a storm.

We should get these things quickly. He thought to himself nervously, casting one last glance at the sky. It looks like it's gonna rain. The apprentice padded forward to the base of a tree, a patch of dry moss nestled in the roots. Working quickly, he gathered it into a neat bundle, trying not to think too much about the countless warriors who now rested beneath his feet.

They were finally out of camp soon.
Took long enough.

Anyway, Willow's Rose was the graveyard, right?
Orangepaw was sure he was right about that, like he was sure he was right about a lot of things.

The sky seemed pretty gloomy.
Ugh.
He hopes they can finish before it rains.

Hollowpaw had said cobwebs and moss.
Like, the easiest things ever.
Orangepaw went to get moss first, get that out of the way.
[Roll=13]
Not hard to find at all, by the way.
Orangepaw managed to collect some moss.
[+2 MOSS]

Now to look for the other thing.
