Enchanted Oasis
There has always been a land of magical mysteries along the Enchanted Oasis. There are the purple and blue leaves hanging on for dear life on the branches of their trees, which attract tourists who can see through the Fog. Ah, I guess I should explain. The Fog is something that helps keep our realm secret from any prying eyes. Y'see, we're a horde of hybrids and what mortals would call "monsters". We like to think of them as the monsters, but that doesn't really help our case, now does it? Anyways, back to describing the scene. There are multiple species of trees in the area. There are Darkstar trees, which have a dark gray trunk with lime green leaves. They have pink flowers in the Grassflower. There are also Pinkberry trees, like the blue and purple ones I was talking about earlier. Sadly, they don't have any pink berries. Legend has it, the reason they were named Pinkberry trees was because they used to grow pink balls that appear as mortal 'pom poms'. They healed you instantly unless.. well, you ate more than one. If you did, myth says you would turn into a pinkberry yourself! There are Mysticbranches, which promote light blue particles within 8 feet of them in any direction. Pretty cool, huh? Well, there are too many types of trees to count, so lets move on from those. There is a big crystal lake at the mouth of the Chrysanthemum River, the longest river within our boundaries. The crystal lake, called the Juniper Lake, is where we get most of our freshwater. We have small cabins, around 10 of them, spread out within our borders. Ah, I guess I have to explain once more! We have some borders around our little... campsite, I guess you would call it. These are the limits of where the Fog protects us. The Fog can only conceal us for such a distance. We aren't allowed to leave our boundaries, no matter how desperate we are. Noone knows the consequences, since no one's left. Of course, who would want to abandon our perfect lifestyle here?! We wont be brainwashed by mortals, we have all the water and food we would need, and.. well, magic! What could go wrong? Ah, so, young hybrid (or whatever you are), you might be wondering why it’s called the Enchanted Oasis. Well, other than the fact that this is an oasis of nature in the midst of all these mortal buildings and cities, it has an enchanted lake in the center of it all. It's color-changing, so you can't really describe it using colors. It switches from a crystal sky-blue to a blush-colored pink, to a minty green, to a mystical purple. It's a sight to see that no one has seen yet. Why, that is, because its on a floating island! Well, a floating island in the center of our campsite, to be precise. No hybrid has reached it quite yet, though I have plans to change that in the near future. hehe. I know you’re probably thinking, ‘oh! You guys handle dragons! Why can’t they just fly up there?’ Well, you see, the island has lots of obstacles that we would rather not speak of. We’ve sent hybrids up there that haven’t ever come back, even after years. how do we know so much about it, then? lets just leave it at myths. no need to tell you anything more than that! Oh, and we dont only handle hybrids. We handle other mythicals, too. We dont disinclude :T So, I would assume by now that you would like to join our campsite. If not, we're going to have to dispose of you. You know too much already. And that's.... saying a lot, since we didn't tell you very much. Form- Behold! Cabins! Still, after 16 years, she was not able to master the technique of slithering on her tail. It was a tad bit embarrassing, but the only hybrids who could do it were serpent hybrids, and so not many hybrids could say they were better than her. "What are you doing, staring at the island? It's not like any of us can get up there." Kaia's expression displayed a reasonable amount of wishfulness, as if she was hoping there was actually a way they could get up there, but it also showed annoyance. |

To feel the pride that I flew to the island and got past the obstacles, Kaia thought over, replaying Lucas's words in her head. Pride. Such an unnecessary thing. A flash of disgust displayed itself on Kaia's face before she swiftly hid any emotion from her facial features. |

Kaia nodded at Lucas for no particular reason, then continued. "On another note, how are you?" she inquired, trying to steer the conversation into a more friendly talk rather than the uncomfortable one they were having at the moment. |

Kaia wasn't the type to volunteer to talk when the conversation got awkward, and so she waited impatiently. She let the strand of hair she was playing with falter from her hand and stared at Lucas, letting him know she expected him to contribute something into the conversation. |

@Hopekitt @Merry Krismas The winged teen sat boredly in her cabin, swinging her legs back and forth. When she heard voices, she stood up abruptly, and darted out of the cabin. Avian jumped up and flapped her large white wings, and flew over in the direction of both Kaia and Lucas. She flew to a halt and stopped a few feet behind the two, landing on her feet gracefully. “Am I interrupting anything?” She asked quizzically, her wings folding in behind her back. They were large; they had to be, in order for her to fly. They dragged on the ground as she walked, and sprouted at her shoulder blades. They were a lovely creamy white, though at close examination, flecks of a golden brown could be seen. Her eyes were bright as she awaited the answers of the two teens. |

Why is the world so unfair? she thought, frustrated though she showed no sign of it. Hestia flew on her silvery-white wings towards Avian, her head counselor. The fellow seraph seemed to be in an awkward conversation with Kaia and Lucas, but Hestia still barged into their conversation without a worry. "Hello? Should I leave?" she asked curiously, wondering if she was being too rude. Hestia flapped her wings subconsciously, noticing a bit of a tension in the clean air. The seraph didn't like the feeling of it but stayed put, waiting for a reply from any of the other campers. |

Kaia decided to let Avian shape the conversation, knowing that Avian probably had the most experience with talking and continuing conversations, as well as making things less awkward. She is a big day dreamer, and even though she doesn't get any sleep, she is always ready for the day. Seren is very open and kind, comforting others in a more motherly way, even though she mostly cant reach their shoulders. She is very eager and she only waits for instructions then she goes. She is usually annoyed and if you make her angry, she will often almost drown you in a tsunami. Soaren is very cut off from the others and often stays up longer than she should, although she can survive for more than a month without sleep. This stems form her childhood. She is very quiet and if she does happen to talk, she usually does it with some sarcasm laced into her words. June is Pretty much the only person that can make anyone feel good. She is kind of an aspirin you take when you're sad to relieve you of your sadness. Seren looked out of the pool and then glanced at the urn her mother had given her for her birthday. The water urn was just sitting near her section of the pool. She swam over to the jar and picked it up, looking downcast as it was the last birthday present she was given before her mom had disappeared from the celestial spirit world. She had never known her father as he had disappeared as well. She was able to go to the celestial spirit world, but she could only do that sparingly. The urn was light as a feather, although it could hold millions of tons of water and the weight wouldn't change.
Soaren remembered a lot of things, things that she didn't want to remember especially. She remembered waking up to spirits in her room, wolves below her window, and that one time there was a spirit wolf curled up near her bed. Her old home was weird, since it had been built on an opening to the underworld. This one was no different, since the spirits had just followed her, and so had the wolves. The small locket around her neck held a picture of her mother and father. She had stolen it from her mothers jewelry box after she had decided to run away. June had just hung up the phone with her parents, and looked downwards. She hated having severe ADHD and autism. There was all this cool stuff happening around her, like a bunch of bugs on the ground, the occasional cloud floating by. The werewolf walked to her cabin and fell on her bunk. Epheren was reading a book in her dorm, a Shakespearean tragedy. The fairy was both diurnal and nocturnal, making her sleep schedule a haphazard of thirty minutes a day. {All Are Open} |

Lucas sensed another dragon nearby, one of the many powers he was born with thanks to his father actually being a dragon god and figured he'd be better communicating with someone of his own kind than he would be now. "I'm gonna go." he said apologetically to Kaia, but didn't fly away. He knew she was jealous of his wings, and was careful to not fly away around her to make her feel worse. @Hopekitt as well :) |
