Altair's forest (Open for All!)
 

Altair is a loner who lives by himself in a forest. He hunts by himself despite his missing leg. He is kind and friendly towards visitors. Here is more information: http://www.warriorcatsonline.com/for...7649#post77649

Altair swam in one of the little ponds. He swam out of the water and walked towards his nest in a tree. He dug his claws into the tree bark and started to climb into the hole in the tree. He crawled into the nest and curled into it, drying himself off.

Chance looked at him. "Chance." She said, smiling. "Nice to meet you Altair."

Chance smiled. "Thanks Altair, but I just ate." She purred. "A drink would be nice though," She meowed absently, glancing around.

"Of course, let me show you where a pond is. Follow me." Altair said and walked towards a nearby pond. He stopped by a pond and waited for Chance.

Chance followed and noticed Altair's missing leg. She didn't let it faze her and she lapped at the water.

Altair laid down by the water, watching as Chance drank the water. "What brings you here, by the way?" He asked.

Chance's ear flicked. "I was fighting dogs with my brother Tobias and chased one off, and here I am." She said.

"Oh, where is your brother? If he is hostile, there might a be problem." Altair said. He got up, "There is a larger pond nearby, you can swim in it if you want." He said looking in the direction of the large pond.

Chance's ears flattened. "One of the bigger dogs got him." She said quietly and she walked to the larger pond. She stared at her reflection for a second before stepping into the water.

Altair walked into the water, "Oh, sorry." He said quietly and swam further into the pond. It's felt nice to have cool water lap at his fur. The same with rain, he enjoyed sitting in the rain.

Chance had a silly grin on her face again and she splashed Altair. (Lol sorry!)

Altair laughed and splashed Chance, a mischievous look in his eyes. He laughed and dove under the water.

Altair surfaced, took a breath and dove back down. He swam further in the pond, looking around for Chance.

(Lol enter drama here XD) Chance let out a muffled scream, her paw tangled in something. She tried to get it free but it didn't work.

Altair swam over towards her and tugged at what caught her paws. He was loosing air but swam up with the object in his jaws.

Chance swam after him and gasped for air. She looked at him. "Thanks."

"No problem." Altair said and swam towards the shore. Once reaching the sand he laid down to rest.

Chance swam after him and got onto the grass. She shook out her fur and sneezed.

"Never been better." Chance said, smiling.

Altair got up, "We should rest. You can stay with me in the tree I sleep in." He said, flicking his tail in the direction of the hollowed out tree.

Altair placed his tail on Chance's shoulder. "I think we should stay away from swimming for awhile." He said. He pressed his flank against against her, "I keep you warm. Don't want you to get sick, it gets lonely when it is only me." He purred.

Altair smiled and walked towards the tall hollow tree. "Now the top part of the tree is hollow, so you'll have to climb it." He said, driving his front claws into the tree.

Chance sped past Altair, running up the tree like a squirrel.

"Showoff." Altair chuckled and climbed into the tree. He spread the moss so that it was big enough for both of them to lay in without being squished together.
(Cue, Thunderstorm. Which Altair is petrified of)

With the sudden bang and flash of light that flashed out of the tree, Altair froze and started shaking.

Chance looked at Altair and laid her tail on his shoulder. "Hey, you ok?" She asked.

"I don't like thunderstorms. They bring back bad memories." Altair whispered, laying his head down on his paws.

Chance blinked and smiled a bit. "I used to be scared of thunderstorms too." She said, sitting down and curling her tail around her paws. "My mom told me there's nothing to be afraid of, as long as you don't give it the power to frighten you."

"That sounds very wise and smart. I lost my parents to a fire caused by a thunderstorm. I was a kit when it happened." Altair said. "I love sitting out in the rain, just not thunderstorms." He added, looking out of the tree.
