ok! so I have an Idea for silverpaw and that includes a dark forest mentor. so, yeah. needless to say, she needs a dark forest mentor. she is intelligent, cunning[at least I try] and confident.

DF cats can be alive. It happens many times. Take Thistleclaw for example.

I have a non-dark forest cat that's in Thunderclan, she could train him.
She will go to the Dark forest when she dies tho aha
