This was bound to happen eventually...
 
So Snakehearts been under a ton of pressure for basically his entire life since he was made medicine cat apprentice at 6 moons old and watched one patient die and had to mercy kill the other on his first day. From there things have kinda only gotten worse. From being shoved into a full rank he never wanted very young and having to struggle to learn how to heal, to being the only thing stopping clanmates from dying (and sometimes failing), to loosing the only thing that kept him sane, his family.

You heard right despite coming from a rather large family with loads of siblings and an amazing mom now every single one of Snakehearts family has disappeared without a trace or died despite his absolute best efforts to care for/protect them. Legit not one cat left. So with the reveal of his final blood family member, Fidgetpaw, and one more push of stress from Kes being gone during a crisis that’ll trigger soon he can no longer suppress everything and the moment he gets a second to breath and its time for a full blown mental breakdown!

And because Snakeheart is my emotional punching bag he never gets a break and this is gonna happen in public!

 
So Snakehearts been covertly looking for his mom and siblings in his free time and now with Fidgetpaw gone he has just spent the entire day frantically looking all over to try and find his kin so was already highly on edge. Then the ‘events’ hit he is forced to go into damage control mode while strained and soon enough and bam its too much and he’s biting back a breakdown with too many cats around him he’s losing it. Hes gonna have a full blown panic attack, mental breakdown and will wrap it all up with dissociating hard and needing to be cared for for a bit until he can pull himself together again. This will lead to a long term character arc of Snakeheart confronting and not suppressing his emotions and learning how to deal with them in a healthy way, he’s got a lotta issues so this will take a long time and come very steadily with the setbacks and relapses typical in recovery but this is the start.


 

For this plot I will need several types of cats to be there to witness/interact with Snake and eachother and react to and know about this incident.

Type 1 is the type of cat that is absolutely no help and in fact makes things worse. Whether this cat actively dislikes Snakeheart and is doing this on purpose or is simply misguided and unknowingly does the wrong thing is totally up to you but this cat may; Make too much noise, try and touch snake when he doesn’t trust them, yell at him, cause a panic/panic themselves, say something mean, not care, hinder those that are helping, or just do anything that does not help and so they have to be shoo’d away so the helpful cats can do their work. They also have full permission to spread rumors about snake because of this incident afterwards.

Type 2 is the cat that is in the middle of the helping spectrum. They don’t have the emotional connection to snakeheart or maybe don’t care/know enough to help him directly or perhaps they just act as a spectator at first. Type 2 cats will end up helping slightly either by shooing away the Type 1 cats, fetching things for the Type 3’s, or volunteering to go out and search for Snake’s missing family/take over doing damage control on the territory. They will not find a single hint of any of them however, not one single clue.

Type 3 cats are the real backbreakers here and do the bulk of the hard work. These cats either have a prior relationship/emotional connection to Snake and so can get through to him or they are very very skilled in helping the breakdowns snake is experiencing. They’ll be walking Snake carefully through the breakdown (it doesn’t need to happen perfectly just successfully in the end) and take care of him for after when he’s pretty much down and out. If they do well at this they may also be tagged to be involved in Snakes later emotional development interactions/plots! Also Snake may actually properly befriend them if he hasn’t already.



The plot will occur in a private thread with no posting order and after a bit of build up and general chaos caused by the Type 1’s they will be shoo’d out and exit the thread/plot. The Type 2’s and Type 3’s will get to work until the Type 2’s having done all they could here exit to the territory threads to deal with this round of rc chaos. They wont rejoin the plot thread and any further interactions will be taken care of in main rc threads. From there the Type 3’s will stay with Snake until that’s all wrapped up and the plot concludes!

Type 1- Trouble makers or cats who do not like Snake who will make the situation worse
Type 2- Not the most helpful or involved but do pitch in slightly to help
Type 3- Cats with a connection to Snakeheart or skill who can calm him down in his breakdown and will hopefully keep up a interaction in the future

Personality: Misty is rather logical. She thinks before she does stuff, but doesn't ever really overthink. She is super understanding, no matter her rather young age, and can easily help resolve problems. Mistypaw actually rather prefers hanging around with older cats (which means like at least 2 moons older), as she can understand them more. She never really breaks any rules. She is a great listener, and can help with emotions due to her logicalness. Mistypaw can often be called 'overthinker' or stuff like that. However, inside, she knows she never truly overthinks things. Her answers are always there swiftly and fastly, so it wouldn't even be possible for her to overthink with those answers. Misty can be a bit stubborn about her reasons and opinions, protecting them with all her heart.

Appearance: Light grey tabby with white paws and a mix of copper and amber eyes

Why would you cat suit this role?: Mistypaw is young, but she certainly has the skills, understanding, logic and listening skills to help Snakeheart. Even though it might take them both a while to adjust to each other, I think they'd work well together. Misty would try to help Snake as much as she can, devoting her time to it.

Why would you cat suit this role?:
Stormtalon cares about Snakeheart in an older brother like way - this being based on several interactions that built something like a friendship. One of the most formative ones was the revelation Snake is still a kid / one who never got to grow up and who needs someone to lean on too (post raid clan meeting.) He feels he understands Snake to some extent due to similarities between their motives, reasoning, and importance placed on family. As Stormtalon started to care about Snake, protectiveness followed.

That being said, he's also just good in a crisis / high pressure situations, got that calm demeanor and can do what he needs to do. Stormtalon dealt with a small period of panic attacks his little brother had after the kid's crush / best friend went missing, so Storm is at least familiar with some of the signs and maybe things that help more than others (in his own experience.) For Snakeheart's breakdown, I imagine he would assess the situation and fill in the role that would be most efficient / helpful, but he would definitely aid Sake in any way he can--slip up and let that protective care show.

Why would you cat suit this role?: Lizzy doesn't understand sentient emotions whatsoever. She's probably gonna think he's physically sick and that's what's making him go crazy. She, however, loves being useful and will try to help, perhaps suggesting they ask the WindClan medicine cat what herbs he deeds to be fixed since he clearly can't tell them himself.
Anything to add?: She will 100% not understand anything, she has the emotional range of a teaspoon. Lizzy logic: Panic means danger. Snakeheart is panicking. There is no danger. Therefore, his brain isn't working. Therefore he's ill. Ill people get cured with herbs. He needs herbs to get cured.

Why would you cat suit this role?: Bumblestep is Riverclan's resident therapist. Regardless for the role he is chosen for, his first priority is helping Snake. They've had a few interactions here and there, but if you ever wanted a therapist friend for Snake then I think this would be a great opportunity.

In his past Bumble has also had to deal with the loss of family and less than stellar coping methods. To this day he still hasn't really processed his sister's death, and holds all that bad stuff inside. I think he would be good to help Snake because he just gets it ya know?

Why would you cat suit this role?: Plumstorm suits Type 2 as a neutral voice in the mix. She doesn't have any connection to Snakeheart and truthfully still cannot forgive his actions that he does "for the sake of RiverClan." However, she has a heart even if it's chilly and seeing somebody antagonizing the heck out of him will spark rage in her. She'll defend him without thought, as he remains a Clanmate to her. Seeing Snakeheart break down may even give her the seedlings of a change of heart towards him
Anything to add?: This would spark major development for Plumstorm as well, as stepping in will give her something to attach herself to and become a part of. Leave a mark on.

She's the mischevious kit. She always likes to play pranks on others and bother everyone. She has a pile of bugs in her nest at all times and loves to either place it on someone's fur secretly or ask if they want to eat it. She's super joyful and always seeming to jump around. She's a fluff ball full of energy. She can be very demanding though, and will have a full on tantrum if she doesn't get what she wants. She's impatient and is that person to ask "Are we there yet?" the whole ride. She's lost her family too and has already spent one whole moon by herself. She's found a way to make her sad feelings convert into her personality now but every once in a while she gets in a corner of camp and cries silently. She tries her best to make herself feel better and she's taken a liking to Snakeheart so it would make her sad to see him all sad.

Appearance
She's a lilac-grey cat with soft and long fur. Her fur is always all over the place and she refuses to groom it unless it gets too dirty. She has hetero blue green eyes, her left eye being green and her right eye being blue. She has small paws and a long tail, along with a lean body. She has long legs and is tall for her age.

Why would you cat suit this role?
I explained it a bit in the last few sentences of her personality but she would suit this role because she likes Snakeheart a lot and considers him the only cat she has ever since he accepted her bug. She'll most likely try and get Snakeheart to be happy by distracting him and showing him all her bugs and where she gets them. She would joke around a lot as well to try and make him laugh but wouldn't try to go overboard. If that doesn't work, she would explain how she copes with not having anyone to love her or for her to love and she would explain to him that he's the only one that she feels comfortable around and actually would cope with her bubbly personality.

Lavenderkit will have more rough experiences in her future which will change her so having Snakeheart to rely on would be her only anchor to life.

Why would you cat suit this role?: Already having a (slight) connection with Snake, and also being known for her extremely loving, overbearing affection, and highly protective and nursing nature, I think she would be an excellent choice for helping Snake through his troubles. I can probably state a lot more reasons on top of me sneaking in some of the psychology tricks I know IRL but its 6 am I have been awake for like 22 hours I am extremely tired so my brain dont work.

Personality:Generally relatively helpful, although currently stressed and a bit snappish, Splashleap definitely wants the best for her clan. That being said, she isn't great at speaking to any large group of cats, and tends to avoid taking a stance on things without thinking through who is going to hate her if she does x, y or z. A politician robbed of their supreme confidence if you will. She can tend to overzealous in a fight, beating an already defeated opponent further, but in general sticks pretty closely to the code, despite being halfclan already.
Appearance:Small white she-cat with large brown splashes.
Why would you cat suit this role?:She doesn't have any malicious intent, quite the opposite, but Splashleap SUCKS at comforting others. Like, last cat in the clans you want on that job. Plus, the medicine cat going down is a very worthy cause for panic in her opinion, and panic she will, only making things worse before being shunted away.

She is a very jumpy, nervous bean, who worries about dumb things like the sky falling or a bird pecking her eye out, and that impacts her adventurous experiences... or lack thereof. So she isn't the most experienced when it comes to physical activity, but she has more than enough knowledge in emotional therapy (sort of), and likes to talk things through. She is very.... VERY wishy washy, so she see's beauty in normalities, and things every sweet gesture is a move.

Because she is already kind of a ¨mom¨, she has been her whole life, just likes to comfort everyone, and ridiculously patient (which.. may come in handy with snake <3), and believes that there is a root to every problem.

Splashleap @gs29513 - I love the idea of Splash seeing this meltdown and basically rightfully panicking at being the last sane present hr in rc at least for the moment! Excited!!

Lizardfrost @Shade. - Given the latest streamstone disaster I think liz will fit type 1 more then 2 now even if she decides she wants to help snake~ Not her fault but snake is a paranoid mess and very wary



 
Mistpaw @Starry - I love the sound of mistpaw but Im slotting her here because snake doesnt know her well yet so trusting her to get close might not happen yet. That may change in the future tho!

Bumblestep @Rockfall - After how bumble bolted last meeting and how while him and snake are friendly but not close he'll prolly fit here best~ If that changes in the future thats up to us/rp development but for now plopping bumble here!

Goosefury @Papaya - Despite how alligned these two have been and their prior interactions they've never got some close bonding of any sort and Im really curious to see how that'd work! For how constant he'd be trusted to get close too so this works!
Lavenderkit @~Fierce~ - Lav is so cute from what Ive seen of her so far and snake does like select kits/is missing his little sibs a ton so I do really see snake curling around her for comfort and basically using her as a plushie

Junipersong @Dizerel - Finally, its junis moment! Shes got her chance! Theres a gap in snakes walls and theres chance to get close to him/therapist him/teach him to be a better cat!

Why would you cat suit this role?: Fawnspring always has breakdowns but he’s good at hiding them and understands things that other cats won’t. He too has lost everything he loved and is looking for a way to gain it back and he’s always looking to help other in the process. He also greatly admires and respects snakeheart and would hate to see him in a hurtful way.
