Battle in a dream {RP}

Hul - He/him - Guardian

I scale quickly scale a tree, the only one in a while, and gaze across the scene set before me. Tonight it is a field that stretches out for as far as I can see. Which is not very far, due to the moonless night. It has been a long time since I have seen the moon, I have almost forgotten what it looks like. Such is the life of a Guardian.

Last nights horrors still haunt me now. Everyone. Everyone is dead. I barely managed to escape myself. Such a thing has not happened for a long time, not since I became a Guardian.

My pendant thuds against my chest as I take deep breaths to calm myself. I must focus on tonight else more fill die. And I know there will be more.

I light a torch and wave it in the air. A beacon to all those who see it.

I opened my eyes. I was standing in a black void. Am I asleep? Where a I? I turned in a circle, trying to see what happened. I was asleep, I had to be. But, where was me? And what is that whispering? Where is it coming from? "Hello?" I called into the darkness, one hand on the handle of my katana, which was strapped to my back with my two knives. My kambrits were strapped to my skirt belt. "Is anyone there?" A light caught my attention and I walked toward it.

I see a figure making their way to me, then hear a call moments later. "Ho there friends!" I call out. I raise my burning torch higher and wave it about.

I stopped. Someone wearing a black cloak waving a torch in the air. I walk forward again. I stopped after about 20 steps forward and looked up. My hand was on my katana, ready for any kind of combat, even though this was a dream. "Who are you?" I call up to the human.

I stare up at the so-called Guardian. I pull my katana from behind my back, ready to fight. "Hul," I echo, closing my eyes. "Where am I? No, where are we? Are we asleep? What's happening?" I ask many questions at once.

Something hit the back of my head and I yelp in surprise then topple over. I may have blacked out for a second, but I get to my feet daze. I lunge forward, bowie knife in hand, expecting to find tonight's enemy.

Gasping in surprise, I jump forward and slam my own weapon at the other man. "I may not trust him as well, but he hasn't attacked just yet! Maybe he can help us get the heck out of here!" I yell at the man before turning back to the Guardian.

I look away, eyes closed. It's just a dream. It's not real. It can't be. But... it feels real. But all dreams feel that way. Shaking off my doubts, I look back. "Fine. My name is Ciara. I'm an assassin, hiding in the streets of the town I live in. I was an explorer, but gave up on that. And you?" I raise an eyebrow at the other man, crossing my arms.

"Looks like it but instead of being an explorer I was a street fighter so we can somewhat be helpful." I say before climbing the tree to hide in.

I crouched in the darkness, green hood pulled over my blonde head. I could hear voices in the relatively close distance... It was decided. I stealthily walked over, leather boots silent against the ground. I pulled out my bo staff, ready for any danger I might find.

Once again, my blue glare shifts across the clearing. My bo staff is still at the ready as i pull my hood back over my short blonde hair. "You all seem tough. But my extensive training would certainly get the best of you." My eyes rested on a girl with a katana. "Ciara... very interesting. You may call me Forest." I tuck my baggy tan pants back into my leather boot. This was a strange place...
