Teddie took deep breaths as she approached the base. She never told me what information she wanted. Maybe to make me tell her everything. But for $50k... Oh, why am I doing this!? Teddie was scared. Walking into the Hero's Base was almost like walking into her doom in her mind. She looked around, the mask sticking to her face as she sweated more. Who do I talk to? And where do they even hold meetings?

Teddie gripped the tube-like tool in her hands and slipped it into her backpack and jumped when someone spoke to her. She whirled around and it was Splitside. She put vine-made accessories into her hands. Teddie glanced at them. "Sure, I'll keep them." She put them on herself, feeling herself sweat even more. I have such great information! But if I give myself away, they'll so kick me out! Is this a trick? Teddie shook her head, staggering back, trying to stop this train of thought. She looked up at Splitside.

Teddie shook her head, trying to clear her mind. "J-j-just saw something outside... I, um..." She felt her hands grip the tube sticking out of her backpack slightly and she stuffed it back in, zipping it up and looking back at Splitside. "I... I um... may or may not have, um... run into someone, um... someone not good, just a few minutes ago?" Teddie held her hands to her head, falling to her knees, knowing she was doing something that was helping the Heros but was putting herself at risk by telling Splitside the truth. Fear and anger were filling her. If she is tricking me, I swear, I'll behead her myself. Her hands clenched into fists.

Who was it? What did they do? What did they try to do? questions came flooding out of Splitside. This was her job as a hero, though she wasnt very good at asking questions. That was more of for the police who interrogated criminals { @Teddie Horror }

Teddie looked up. "N-n-no, well... maybe bribed me... into doing something, um..." She shook her head, standing up. "I... I can't talk about it. I'm afraid of what she's going to do to me if I fail her..." Teddie muttered the last part, turning away from Splitside.

Teddie smiled at Splitside. "Thank you. I-I-I have to go." She saw the time and ran off back to the city.

Teddie came back to the base the next day. She closed the door carefully, fighting back tears. Hiding the money in her backpack, she flopped down on the couch in the corner and started crying, keeping her mask on her face, but it made her face wetter than it should be, but she didn't care. She was betraying the heroes. They'll kill me for this...

Teddie accepted the hug, crying harder. I'm doing something dangerous... it's too much for me to handle...
