Character of the Month (October 2023)
Welcome to Character of the Month, a feature designed to recognize two characters who deserve kudos! - x - x - x - x - Using the form found at the bottom of this post, you may nominate two Main Roleplay characters you think deserved to be featured! Please use one form per character - they should not be in the same form.→ How It Works! ← For the sake of giving every character a chance, avoid nominating cats who have already been nominated for the month. Nominations will be held for approximately 3 weeks, ending on the 22nd. Once it ends, a poll will be posted displaying the names of the characters who qualify for voting. Users can vote for as many characters as they want to be recognize, provided it is not their own character. It is discouraged to vote for every character listed, as only two will win. If two characters have the most votes, but they are roleplayed by the same person, the winner will be picked by staff based on the nomination reasons, and the second winner will default to the next highest vote. He's loyal, willing to attack, and just beautiful. Sure, maybe he's got scars. It's only proving he's powerful. He's always ready. She is just an adorable cat with so much ambition. She may have been through hell and back, but she keeps going, keeps a smile on her face, and never gives up. |

Leafpaw is such an impressive character, during the fox attack she was incredibly brave and was a major key in all the cats coming home. Her development from kithood was absolutely marvelous and I'm so so proud to see the cat she's grown into. Leafy writes her so well, and she's the perfect older sister but the mom-like older sister isn't her whole personality, if that makes sense? Like there's so much depth to her and she's even a little bit of a stinker sometimes and can be such a firecracker and the way Leaf is so multi-dimensional always makes her a fun read and I can't want to see where she goes in the future! Character Name [mention user]: Lioncrest @Jayvines Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: ThunderClan Why should this character be featured?: When it comes to looking for an exciting, enjoyable character to read, Lioncrest is the total package. He's written in such a way that he actually feels like he could be a real character, and the way he speaks and thinks is so different from a lot of other cats on WCO and it's just so refreshing. A true gentleman but also a very good, loyal warrior with a strong code of morals, Lioncrest will always be a cat that I will enjoy reading! |

Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: Thunderclan Why should this character be featured?: I love this little gal, she is honestly so fun to read, she feels like a real character and acts like an actual child, you absolutely tell that Redkit is based on experience or is from someone who is close to someone from experience with children. Redkit is written wonderfully and I am always excited to read her posts and most of the time they end up with me wanting more of her. Poppy is an excellent writer and it shows in Redkit, who is just trying to make it through the world and exploring it at every turn, good or bad side showing. |

Why should this character be featured?: This character is a really fun to roleplay with as Ivorypaw can be a dramatic but sweet she-cat who is always getting on her mentors nerves! Ivorypaw is an apprentice who will put her mind to do anything she wants and can be really energetic and fun! |

Tansyjaw may be a cranky old elder, but boy does she never stop talking. :rofl: I love her so much! She is the typical elder-cranky, old, grumpy, rude- but also is soo relatable. And the fact that she survived my two little troublemakers-shockkit and sparkkit- says a lot about her. Her posts are very thoughtful, and I am always excited to respond to them! Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: Thunderclan Why should this character be featured?: The fact that I have only read like three posts from Fudge-or as I call the cutie, Poop- and have still nominated the little guy, is insane. Not only are the posts so detailed, so...impactful- is only one of the reasons I have nominated the little brownie. How he believes himself to be above everyone else-chosen-is hilarious, and his thoughts only further that. He needs to win. He believes his kittypet ancestry is not hurting him-so I just feel lucky to be in a rp with him. |

Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: shadowclan Why should this character be featured?: not yet well known but full of potential, foxkit is one of cougarbites young kits, and probably my favorite of them all. she’s already got a personality blooming and i love the way poppy rps her and can’t wait to see where she goes in life Character Name [mention user]: brackenfire (also @/poppy., lol) Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: shc Why should this character be featured?: brackenfire is a really well built and in depth character. i love having cougar as one of her kits and when i applied for him i had no idea i’d be accepted and frankly didn’t think i’d get the point today with him that i’m now at (birth-warrior to now starting his own family). kudos to poppy for keeping bracken interesting, even in her disappearance from shadowclan and i can’t wait to see how cougar and brackens relationship builds and evolves with her back now |

Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: shc Why should this character be featured?: cougarbite is like a legend rn lol. bro jus had a litter of kits and then fought in a battle while still training an apprentice and keeping his kits entertained. all SEVEN of them. as a single parent. not easy to do but i love watching jack's rps with him and how far cougar has come! Character Name [mention user]: sourpaw ( @the.lemon.witch ) Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: thunderclan Why should this character be featured?: she is absolutely ADORABLE!<33333 lemon is such and interesting writer and i love how sourpaw is presented. her hard exterior that melts to a softer inside is very well done. her interactions with cats that she cares about, and has such a fierce loyalty to them. i love her dedication to cats instead of clans, usually i find forbidden romances/cross clan friendships messy and a bit overdone, but i find that lemon has done such a refreshing job with sourpaw. all in all wonderful character and very deserving of COTM!!!!!! |
