on the outskirts of shadowclan's evergreen forest, just across a small thunderpath, are two neatly tucked away twoleg houses. in one of those houses is the rockstar tortie, reid.

plagued or blessed, he accidentally finds himself walking the dreams of a shadowclan cat. unknown to both of them that the other is real, they have plentiful adventures. an odd reoccurring dream, no? reid, in the dream of a clan cat, experiences warrior life without ever stepping a paw into danger. he hungers for the real deal, but mistakes it for imagination.

while hunting for fun one morn, the kittypet comes across a familiar location: a shadowclan land mark he'd seen in a dream. it sparks memories that are undeniable. further into shadowclan, the young tom treads. . .

his fate- this story -is yet to be told.
dream warrior
with this finder, i'm mostly looking for a warrior or apprentice for reid to accidentally invade the dreams of! there's no real requirements, but reid will probably eventually view this cat as a sibling/friend/etc depending on how thing goes. how they react to reid in the dream vs reality can be different if you want!
i do want someone reid can cause trouble with in their dreams, for certain.
i'm also considering (maybe, just maybe) accepting two, where in there's reid's main dream friend and then another clan cat he ends up accidentally pulling into a dream trying to dream up other friend, and they hit it off too.,
 

these are just suggestions!

dream-warrior is best buds with reid in dreams, but is suprised and a bit distant from him upon learning he's real and wanting to join sc. this is good grounds for some reid angst, and then reid'll keep being an annoying menace in the endearing way.

playfighting? because reid can't get hurt in dreams, he doesn't have to worry about how weak he is since its- you know- a dream. i think it'd be funny for him and dreamwarrior trying to dreamfight and reid keeps doing the 'but i dodged' thing.

when reid finally joins the clan, dreamfriend jokes about him probably not being able to catch anything. he catches way more prey than expected just to show off.

reid will be pestering their dream friend quite a bit, because he's a little menace. he'll see them as a best friend regardless of how much they loathe him irl or not.

also might consider a relative being in shadowclan, since reid never knew his father and only somewhat knew his mother before he was given away.

preferring a warrior because the contrast between friendly bullying a kid in your dreams and then suddenly that kid is hunting you down trying to join your culture seems a lot more shocking to, say, a warrior than to an apprentice imo. will still consider apprentice dream friend though!
i also like warrior dream friend idea because it gives them a reason to be vaugely annoyed with reid actually finding them.

reid is a nihilistic ball of sunshine. he says morbid things with the happiest tone ever. i love him.

reid is 11 moons old and will be joining as an apprentice, so for warriors much older filling this role he'll probably see them older-sibling-ish or parental(big maybe; depends on roleplay). for apprentices, they'll be friends, and reid might end up crushing but maybe not? no pressure to have your character reciprocate any familial feelings or crushes, btw.

She's 11 moons old but has like, no training so will stick as an apprentice for a while

I have Eveningpaw as a friend!!

His father and Brother are missing so he's def going down quite the dark hole
I think they could absolutely bounce morbid stuff off one another

meet wasp! The unholy child of shadowclan who has…parental issues. Wasp comes from a family of three so he was born the only child. And being the only child in a very high and prestigious family leads to peer pressure and neglect. From an early age wasp had grown to know violence and rage. So much rage and pent up anger that he just lashes out at others without thinking. He wasn’t shielded like the rest of the kittens oh no, he was thrown right into the middle of things…forced to watch executions and stare at dead limp bodies.

He had grown used to such things as an apprentice. It was fairly easy to seeing as he wasn’t I the right mindset anymore. his violent tendencies during battle and his harsh words alone have gained him a pretty bad reputation with others. When his best fiend died in battle and his second close friend was recently demoted because of lack of training when their mentor went missing he became rather distant from his clan.

This is when things take a dark turn in events when he’s suddenly tossed into the dark forest under bad circumstances. This prick finally meets his dad but unfortunately for him neither parents give a rats ass about and and have deemed him useless. Using those cursed nightmare fueled power of his he intends to attack and or harm his own son.

This is when ya boy can step in or simply watch <3
When they join the clan wasp will be somewhat reluctant but then gladly warm up to them once again after a few conversations. Often takin the initiative to show them around and to keep them safe.

So, if you're open to it. My OC, [Treepaw] is from ThC and this would be so perfect for her. Since they're in separate clans, they may or may not ever really meet (and maybe that'll drive them both mad), but Tree is battling a mental illness currently where she's being led around by an inner voice. Meeting Reid in her dreams would amplify this and probably convince her that she has two "friends", but only one she can truly see.
She'll become very emotionally attached if they meet often enough, Reid doesn't have to. He might end up being a "comfort zone" despite what could actually happen.

We can brainstorm from there. Just throwing an option out.

I also have [Hawkbite] in ShC heh. His page says it all. He's a fun one to do bizarre things to since he'll either be extremely annoyed or accept it and fuel a fire.

oh my god, both of those ideas are so tempting!
i think the treepaw idea is really neat, and could lead to some super interesting consequences down the road, but i also see hawkbite and reid being good foils to bounce off of eachother because of the duality between them! i can just see reid annoying the absolute daylights out of him when he actually shows up in shadowclan, and reid being so confused as to why his dream friend doesn't want to hang out in reality.

i'm absolutely down to see how hawk and reid interact in a dream if you are!
i'm also down to possibly have reid accidentally break into treepaw's dreams later down the line once he's a shadowclanner!!

Hawk is always open to rps! Just mention whenever if he's the cat you're picking!

His apps are both about to be warriors too, itd be funny if reid ends up his app so he cant avoid them
