fogclan is set on a small hill that is flat on the top. it is covered in fog and barely gets much sunlight. the entrance is a tunnel that is hard to see if you are an outsider. the camp is concealed in fog and has tough walls of rock around it so the only way in or out is through the tunnel.

Dreamingstar walked around Fog Center and spotted a pair of eyes through the fog. Her own eyes blinked and approached the cat. "Oh, Nightshademist." She gasped and dipped her head in greeting. "The fog's a bit stronger today, eh?" She meowed and glanced around the clearing, which you could barely see through if you were an outsider. But Fogclan cats were used to the fog so it was quite clear.

Dreamingstar chuckled. "Yep. But someday, the kit's eyes will adjust to the fog." She meowed and sat next to Nightshademist. "Can I ask you a question?" She suddenly asked, then meowed instantly after that, "Would you be mentor to Soki(@/Crown_Sage)? They need mentor." Dreamingstar explained.

Dreamingstar turned. "Greetings, Moonshadow." She purred and listened to what the Fogwalker had to say. "Oh. Sure. Of course. You haven't had an apprentice in a while, eh?" She commented then slowly nodded her head.

"You can have Soki as an apprentice. Maybe next time, Nightshademist." Dreamingstar meowed. "Don't tell them yet, alright?" She told Moonshadow.

Dreamingstar smacked her tail over Moonshadow's maw. "Don't tell them yet. They have to be properly apprenticed at a meeting, remember?" She whispered.

Dreamingstar took a deep breath and hopped on top of Fog Rock. It was time to announce the new deputy. Plus, appoint Soki a mentor. Dreamingstar adjusted her stance and neatly curled her tail around her paws. She breathed in and yowled,

"Let all cats old enough to see through the fog gather below Fog Rock for a clan meeting!"

Dreamingstar waited until all the cats had gathered. A few were missing but they would hear. Dreamingstar's eyes scanned Fog CENTER as if examining all of them. "Hello Fogwalkers, apprentices, warriors." She meowed in a somber tone. "As you all know, Fogclan has been without a deputy for two moons, ever since Falcondust had left us."

Dreamingstar sniffed audibly and looked at Crowsong, as he would remember how Falcondust had a nickname for the three of them. She took a deep breath and her eyes glinted with faint tears. "L-Let us have a moment of silence for him." She meowed slowly and looked at her paws.

It has been two moons since Falcondust had passed. He would've become leader once Dreamingstar had died but the damn fox had to come and rip him apart. And in the process, tearing a hole in Dreamingstar's heart. She raised her head again and scraped a claw slowly across the Fog Rock to signal that the moment of silence was finished.

Dreamingstar stared at the sky and yowled, "I say these words to Falcondust so he may approve my choice!" Her eyes looked around until she had stopped the cat she was looking for. "Falcondust, approve of my choice." She muttered half to herself and stared at the cat she had chosen. "Nightshademist shall be the deputy of Fogclan." She yowled and smiled at Nightshademist.

"Nightshademist!"
"Nightshademist!"

Dreamingstar waited until the chants have died down until she spoke again. "Nightshademist, I hope you will bring your courage and loyalty to Fogclan, and I hope you will be a great leader someday." She meowed and nodded her head.

Dreamingstar cleared her throat. "Congrats, Nightshademist. However, we must move on." She meowed. She blinked slowly before continuing, "Soki has been without a mentor for a moon and I think--no, I'm sure--that we must appoint her one." She glanced at Soki and motioned for her to come up. "Soki, your mentor will be Moonshadow. Moonshadow, I believe you will pass on all your knowledge and skill to Soki and carve her into the warrior Fogclan needs."

Dreamingstar then dipped her head to both of them, signaling with her tail that it was time for them to step back. "This meeting is hereby dismissed. If any cat needs me, I'll be in my den. But if any cat wants to complain and argue about why they weren't chosen, I won't tolerate it." She meowed sternly and banged her tail on Fog Rock, which was tradition to tell the clan that the meeting was over.

Dreamingstar hopped from Fog Rock and pushed aside the hanging vines covering her den. She walked inside and started grooming her chest fur.

Dreamingstar nodded at Nightshademist before heading into her den. Maybe she would come in later to ask about patrols. Nightshademist just became a deputy. It was going to take a while to adjust.
