Monthly Kudos (April 2025)
Welcome to Character of the Month, a feature designed to recognize two characters who deserve kudos! - x - x - x - x - Using the form found at the bottom of this post, you may nominate two Main Roleplay characters you think deserved to be featured! Please use one form per character - they should not be in the same form.→ How It Works! ← For the sake of giving every character a chance, avoid nominating cats who have already been nominated for the month. Empty "placeholder" posts that do not nominate a cat and exist solely for users to come back to and edit later are not permitted. Any "placeholder" posts will be deleted and the user fined 1,000 KK. (For more details, see this announcement.) Nominations will be held for approximately 3 weeks, ending on the 22nd. Once it ends, a poll will be posted displaying the names of the characters who qualify for voting. Users can vote for as many characters as they want to be recognize, provided it is not their own character. It is discouraged to vote for every character listed, as only two will win. If two characters have the most votes, but they are roleplayed by the same person, the winner will be picked by staff based on the nomination reasons, and the second winner will default to the next highest vote. The voting period will end on the last day of the month, and the results will be posted on the 1st of the new month. Members who have nominated a character will have their username added to a raffle at the end of the nomination period. Three lucky members will be rolled by the staff team and receive 2,500 Koins! The perfect mixtureof trauma and even more trauma, Hazycry is anyone's worst nightmare. Ijust adore the way she's written and I'm always clawing at the barrier between Cinder and myself. |

Clan swap. Med apprentice. Enforcer. It's clear that he's the most innocent cat to ever live (.... *quietly steps in front of his pile of crimes*). Alec writes him extremely well, and I'm enthralled about his lore and character growth. |

Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: Shadowclan Why should this character be featured?: I REFUSE TO THINK THAT THIS BOY IS TALKED ABOUT ENOUGH, HE FREAKING ISN'T!! My goodness, where to start. Hill is such a sweety, and enthusiastic little guy who does not belong in the sharpness of Shadowclan. He's so unbelievably talkative and kind, no wonder Briar likes him! (Yeah I said it, face the music gal!!). He reminds me a lot of Silverlark, whom also stood out in Shadowclan due to their cadence and upbeat nature. Hillstrider is great, i would die for Hillstrider. He's welcoming towards anycat and everycat, showing his great moral compass and stance. Regardless of who you are or your social standing, he'll always be willing to talk, and that's something I always find wholesome in any character. But, like any warrior, I'm sure he'd be willing to kill in a heartbeat. Mica writes him so well it's insane, I DEMAND MORE HILLSTRIDER!!! Character Name [mention user]: Roachflare ( @alec ) :soloballoon: Character Faction [indicate if outsider]: Shadowclan Why should this character be featured?: Ah, another shady cat. But instead, this tortoiseshell is shifty and nervous. I love bug, I've always loved bug. Find their traits interesting and their own anxieties clear, how they never acknowledge anycat unless spoken to directly, flat out ignoring them and their presence. And, how they're oddly enthusiastic. I love how he can pick up easily on hidden emotions, mainly with Mudslide, probably only with Mudslide, but it shows a level of pristine care and reassurance that makes bugs character really endearing. Roachflare is insanely well written, even if he does lack posts (I will catch you for that, alec), there is a clear personality in every sentence, a window into the troubled cats thoughts. I'm so excited for bug, unbelievably so. He'll have a lot more on his plate sooner or later, but to no fault of his own. I just feel like the silly little guys in Shadowclan should be acknowledged more! Sometimes it's not all guts, sometimes it's just a really tall fish and her buggy brother. And maybe that's all this world needs. (Don't read this alec, you need to freaking sleep) |

He does a lot, gets little thanks, and does more anyways on top of being a dynamic complex character with an amazingly rich backstory the envy of cats the world over. He also has no clue how he got his girlfriend I think but I dont see him complaining. You go guy! |

Rift writes Hollowpaw with a clear distictive vibe and she's a cat I certainly can't help but love. Can't wait to see where she goes next! <3 |

Every time I read a post of his, it blows me away. He has so much emotion, and is still processing he has kits. Squid is incredibly skilled at writing a dynamic character that is simultaneously a stoic, stone-cold badass. Even though she doesn't show much emotion on the outside, Briarsplash's internal monologue is so insightful and honestly makes me forget that she doesn't say much out loud. And NO I'm not BIASED because I'm holding Squid at water-gun-point to have her and Hillstrider get together, that's ridiculous! ... *cough* Anyway, Briarsplash is a consistent and stable presence around ShadowClan, and the Enforcers would be sorely lacking without her |

Reading korok's posts is always a delight, but especially when it comes to our shining deputy of RiverClan (whose pelt may or may not be coveted by many). From Head Lionheart to deputy, this bengal always gives his Clan his all and is the epitome of 'big brother' energy — happy 'n fun, like you could go to him for anything, but he WILL hunt down whoever is hurting you. They'd better run. (hehe.) Korok has been such a lovely help in RC and we are very blessed to have both a wonderful character and rper in our midst! Always showing up when needed and showing dedication to the Clan... Sunheart is as golden as his name — give my boi some credit where it's due! <3 |

I love Wildkit, all of his posts are so well written, with so much detail and such a great personality! His dynamic with my Morningpaw is incredible, and I look forward to reading all of Wildkit's posts. His roleplayer is also amazing, and the way Wild it portrayed really brings out the life in him, making him seem so genuine and real. I love all of him, and... Yeah! |

I really love the especially clear care that burntToast puts forth when presenting Adderpaw's inner struggles and how despite her quiet interior Adderpaw's care and passion is still there even to the characters around her who don't get the knack of reading her thoughts like us ooc do. I may be a little biased, but no one can look at this silly, this sweetie who made a nest full of flowers for her and her friend, and say she doesn't deserve the world! |

WindClan I roleplayed with her because we were trying to figure out if our characters had a good dynamic. They hit it off right from the start, and Foxy perfectly captured the emotions that one would feel when meeting their crush for the first time. Lilacbird is so funny and relatable! |
