[she-cat one] and [she-cat two] have been best friends since birth. they do everything together, almost acting as if they were sisters. [she-cat one], while they are apprentices, grows feelings for her friend, and soon begins to try and share prey, and tongues, with [she-cat two] more often. [she-cat two] is oblivious, having her eyes set on [tom one]. [she-cat one] is saddened, and begins stealing feathers from her friend's nest to place in her own, basking in the scent of [she-cat two] to soothe her to sleep.

at the age of twelve moons, the two she-cats become warriors. [tom one] became a warrior a moon before, and had asked to be [she-cat two]'s mate when she was old enough. she immediately says yes, and the two become mates after the warrior ceremony is over. [she-cat one] is jealous, knowing that the tom would not last long— he didn't know [she-cat two] like she did.

[she-cat one] begins stealing more things from her friend, knowing that they would go unnoticed, and keeps them as treasures. she also begins sabotaging the relationship, telling rumours about [tom one]. [she-cat two] leaves him, but then goes straight to [tom two], much to [she-cat one]'s dismay.

moons pass, but [tom two] doesn't last. [she-cat two] takes a break from relationships, until [tom three] comes into the picture. at first, he has affection towards [she-cat one], but she turns him down and admits that she only likes other mollies. he is understanding, and turns his feelings to [she-cat two]. she accepts the feelings, making [she-cat one] depressed. nobody would make [she-cat two] truly happy, besides her. but, there is no way to confess, as she does not want to ruin her chances. [she-cat two] asks [she-cat one] what is wrong, and she makes a lie about [tom three], causing [she-cat two] to leave him.

another moon goes by. the two hang out together, but then [tom four] catches [she-cat two]'s attention. the two begin to talk and grow closer, while [she-cat one] looks from afar. before anything could happen, however, [she-cat one] finds the courage to finally confess to her friend. she explains everything that happened, bringing up the suggestion of running away from the clan, and awaits the rejection. [she-cat two] stays quiet, thinking it over.

[she-cat two] finally accepts the confession and they run away together that very night, as mates. they become rogues and shorten their names, living together makeshift dens while travelling. the two mollies find an abandoned [kit] and raise it as their own.

Flowerpaw frowned and sulked back to the apprentice den.

Flowerpaw ran into the warrior’s den,” Cuckootree! The dawn patrol is leaving now can we train?” She was shaking in excitement.

Cuckootree grunted,” Wait until they return...no fun adventures alright. Go back to sleep.”

Flowerpaw snarled,” Your just a piece of dung! I’ll never become a warrior!”

Cuckootree corrected her,” No...just not today. Your six moons old. If you keep insulting me I might not take you out of camp today.”

Flowerpaw was silent and left.

Flowerpaw squealed,” Cuckootree! The dawn patrol is back!”
Cuckootree got up silent,” I’m not rushing because you insulted me, but we are going out.”
Flowerpaw paced in excitedment,” What about I appologize and you rush?”
Cuckootree snorted,” Appologize? Revenge is better on my end that accepting an appology.”

Cuckootree and Flowerpaw stepped outside of camp,” This is the territory, got it? Back to apprentice duties.”
Flowerpaw’s face fell,” WHAT!?” Outrage filled her voice,” I’ll get lost- and-and I thought I’d see the borders or learn to hunt or something better than this you are an incompetent mentor! I think I might just go ask Snowstar to assign me a new mentor!”
Cuckootree laughed,” It was a joke. Not every grump is only a grump. There are different shades of grey in personalities. You’ve just seen two of them, sarcastic, grumpy. Not telling you all five.”
Flowerpaw sighed in relief,” Alright. Good to know.”
Cuckootree started speeding up,” Keep up, and shut up.”
Flowerpaw tried to keep up and saw the borders.
