Bursting his Bubble
 

Puddlepaw is a bubbly ball of sunshine--or at least he seems to be. One day, he sees [bully] making fun of [other victim], so he tries to intervene. This causes [bully] to begin harassing him instead. Puddlepaw has a close group of friends, as well as a protective mentor, so [bully] will have to be careful not to get caught. What will make it easier, however, is that he hides his true emotions behind a facade of cheeriness. Until they directly witness the bullying itself, his friends and mentor will not find out what is happening because he will disguise his pain and sadness from them. He has many insecurities, so [bully] will have a lot of things they can hurt him with. [bully] will likely continue to harass him through most of his apprenticeship, until [other victim] goes to thank Puddlepaw for saving them from [bully]. [other victim] will then notice [bully] making fun of Puddlepaw, and find some way to help him out of the situation.
