RiverClan Announcement [#liontalks]

"RiverClan, if you're interested in a little social event, head to the beach!" It was a brief explanation and direction but Lionstar hoped it'd stir some interest. He had a bit of a trek to go to gather up anyone else who might want to come, and he didn't want to waste his time explaining stuff repeatedly.

This entire thing with ThunderClan had gotten boring and with Duskstar's patrol still gone, Lionstar decided to liven this quiet place up a bit.

"ThunderClan, WindClan," he called as he paced near the edge of what classified as Cattail Pond, "if any of you fancy having a bit of a social without being a party pooper, join me down by the beach!" This was not mandatory in any sense, but he thought the cats who had little to do might enjoy something a little more lighthearted.

Get away from the smoke and the temporary shelter, and into something a bit more cozy.

The sand was warm beneath his paws as he entered the beach zone, over toward where a pile of prey (a variety of both land and sea) had been transferred by Thistlestep and Firehawk. "Sit down, have some food, and get to know one another a little better! There's some things you can do here if you'd like a more variety to what's going on.."

He beckoned his tail over to where a pile of berries were beside a rocky pool. "You can crush up some berries and smear them over the pelts of others!" He didn't know the word for it, so he'd call it 'juicing'. "If you don't want to participate in pelt juicing..

"There's a pawful of baby turtles around here you can race! Find some pretty seashells in the sand and you can bet those on who'll win. Or you can just keep the seashells for your collection. We also have crab-ball for anyone willing to risk getting pinched, though I wouldn't recommend it to cats sensitive to pain." And anything else they could think of, minus anything that was actually violent.

"If you head toward the water," he continued as he did so, scooping up a pawful of the wet sand. "You can build damp sand mounds! You could also just chuck the sand at others like snow, though this admittedly is harder to get out of your fur. You can also just.. do some play wrestling.

"You have a lot of options, everyone! Make the most of this while you can-- there's not every day you get to campout with several other Clans." The Gathering didn't count because the truce was mandated. This was one of the rare moments where the Clans weren't forced to get along.. but they were!

Lionstar chucked the wet sand a few fox-lengths away from him, shaking the damp grains from his paws as he dived into the dryer portion, spraying particles everywhere around him.
