~Private~ A Starry night
 
It was 10:28pm, Onyx was sitting outside in the backyard looking up at the stars humming to herself as Kai jumped over the fence into the yard in his hellhound form.

(Sorry im a bit rusty & didn't know what setting/plot ya wanted.)

( oo, this is perfect! Just some casual existence pfpfpf @GyreHaze )

The dark midnight sky comforted her. She missed Star. Ever since he.. had trapped himself in the Realm of Darkness, everything was much lonelier. At least she still had Lunar. But he was so spaced out these days. Like he was doing something else. Her short, bright red hair flowed in the wind as the trees rustled around her. Why hadn't they gone home? Right, too many bad memories. So they lived in the forest again. Umber lifted her hand to finger a leaf. She carefully plucked it and looked it over. Green.. Like the rest of them. She loved this tree. It had this.. kind of comforting aura. An aura she'd only felt with Star. Ah.. stop overthinking it, Umber. She was sleepy.. so she leaned back against the tree and let herself slowly drift off to sleep.

( lunar will exist soon, just decided to do a solo umber post )

Kai shifted back to his human form leaning against an old tree, watching over Onyx as she watched the stars the two were always together & if they eer were apart it wasn't for long as he made a promise to stay by her side & protect her at all cost. Onyx was fully capable of taking care of herself as she is a strong demon but Kai always made sure he was there every single day since he met her ten years ago. "Want to join me for a run Onyx? I'd prefer to have ya join me"

Onyx turned to face the hellhound mumbling under her breath before she slowly stood up & walked over to them "Sure Kai, just take it easy tonight you injured yourself the other day.." the 'young' demon worried about him somtimes since day one he has always been more focused on her rather than himself.

The fire elf remained asleep, leaning on her tree. He knew she would be here.. She loved this tree, for some reason. The boy sat next to his sister and looked up at the sky. The dark navy blue so vivid and beautiful. The small flecks of white stars made it much more mesmerising. His eyes resembled the night sky. His purple eyes shone in the moonlight, the sparkling star standing out in the sea of violet. His black hair flew in the wind. Gosh, it was kind of cold. Lunar removed his jacket and wrapped it around his sleeping sister. She looked so.. peaceful. Normally, she was bouncy and happy all the time. He would cherish this moment. The moment his sister was silent and unlike herself.

The hell hound shifted back once again lowering himself to the ground so Onyx could climb up onto his back, once she had a firm grip on his back he jumped over the fence & headed to the woods breaking out into a sprint. Kai ran for quite some time before stopping in his tracks as he caught scent of someone..

(Could this be when they meet? Kai could come across Umber & lunar while running through the woods :") )

He was on edge. One of the abilities he kept from Star was sensing anyone nearby. His violet eyes flickered black as he reactivated Star's powers, or at least, the remainder of them. Black tendrils formed on his back and he stood up. He stood in front of his sister protectively. Lunar was.. well, slightly afraid. But these tendrils could kill with ease. The demonstrations of before proved that. Part of Lunar's skin began to darken and turn pitch black. He had to be careful with that. He didn't want to get lost again, would he? Black horns began to grow on his head and spiral upwards. Those were new. Probably some after effect from Star.

He sniffed the air again before bolting in the direction of the scent, stopping a few feet away once the two were in sight. Kai hesitated before Helping Onyx into a nearby tree to hide while he stayed down below still in his HellHound form. "Interesting..." he mumbled watching the stranger before him, makign sure not to make any sudden movements.

The demon watched from above eyes going dark as she focused on the being before them, she had never seen someone like this before this man intrigued Onyx.

They were close now. He knew they were. He looked around for the people."I know someone's here! Show yourself!" His eyes turned black as he increased the amount of power he used. It was only a precaution, right? More tendrils came out from behind his back and joined the rest of them. His canine teeth grew longer and sharper as more and more of his skin began to turn black. No, calm down. That's too much. You'll pass out. Right. The black spreading on his skin retreated back some and his canine teeth returned to normal. Lunar huffed and waited in silence. Was nothing coming out? Was there really nothing here? No. Something or.. someone was here. They were just hiding.

Already tired of sitting in the tree Onyx decided to jump down landing inches away from the man before them, "We aren't here to harm you so I'd suggest you calm down & keep those tendrils of yours away" She looked back at where Kai was meant to be signaling for him to slowly approach "My friend caught a whiff of your scent during a run is all, now who are you."

He remained on guard. There was no way he would let anyone hurt him or his sister. He kept the tendrils away from the girl but he did not change back. The boy narrowed his eyes at her. "A likely story. I won't be telling you anything unless you tell me who you are." He managed to keep his temper. He knew full well that he couldn't fight in front of his sister, let alone, kill someone. She already had enough trauma from the first time. Her mental scars were horrific. Yes, his were far worse, but he didn't show it. He could tell when she thought of those nights. It would be written on her horror-stricken face. He refocused on the two people in front of him. Lunar watched them closely. He felt worried. What if someone was sneaking up to take Umber right now? He unconsciously slipped a tendril towards his sleeping sister and it wrapped around her. She would be safe. He would rather die than let anything happen to her.
