Peanut and Strawberry's territory [Open]

Peanut trotted back in the den from hunting. Any day now Strawberry would give birth to their kits! "Honey, I have a mouse for you!" he said. He padded to the back of the small den and set the mouse down in front of Strawberry lying in the nest.
_________
Strawberry looked to Peanut and purred, "Thank you," she mewed. She bit into the mouse and smiled. Any day their kits would come. Then there would be tiny kits to feed too. She took another bite and licked her lips.

Peanut Purred as he lay beside his mate. This was paradise. He licked her chestnut ear affectionately and laid his head on his paws to wait for his mate to finish eating
______

Strawberry finished her mouse and nuzzled her mate's cheek. She adored Peanut, he was her soulmate.

Peanut purred and nuzzled his mate back. He couldn't wait for their little kittens to be born! They would be so adorable. Just like Strawberry.
______

Strawberry began carefully grooming herself. She didn't want to disturb the growing kits in her belly. She wondered how long it would be until the little fur-balls where born.

Re: Peanut and Strawberry's territory [Open]

Pit's fur was well fluffed against the cold, of which there was no shortage. He held a chickadee in his jaws, and his nose told him that he was getting close to a den. Two cats in fact. He didn't want to startle them, that was quite the wrong impression to make, so he called softly Hello? Is anyone at home? after placing his prey on the ground. He had caught it back in the point woods, and it was something of a gift. Nala had told him to find more cats, and more cats he would find. He was hopeful that these two would be willing to come to Fishers Point, and live along with them. @PoppySeed

Peanut heard someone outside. "I'll be right back, honey." he whispered to Strawberry. He got up and went outside seeing the other tom. "Do you need something?" he meowed calmly. If the other didn't give him trouble, he wouldn't give the other trouble.

They weren't scared little mice, that much was good. His voice even and nonthreatening, since he wasn't threatening at all, Pit mewed I don't need anything from you. I just wanted to say hello. I live nearby is all. It was true, although he wasn't as close as just over a hill. He was within a days round trip, and that was close enough for him. What's your name? he asked, trying to keep things friendly and normal before jumping into the "come join the group I'm part of" bit. Mine's Pit by the way. @PoppySeed

Peanut nodded, "I'm Peanut. Used to be owned by some stupid twolegs. The twoleg kits left the door open one day and I escaped the house." he said. He flicked his stub of a tail.
______

Strawberry got up and haphazardly walked outside. She could barely walk now that her belly was so big. It would all be worth it when the kittens were born. She saw Pit and cocked her head in interest, "Hello. I'm Strawberry." she introduced herself to the tom.

They both seemed nice. And it appeared that Strawberry had kits. Even better, or maybe worse depending on how long till they were born. Kits were needy little things and weren't useful for about 6 or so moons. Still, he couldn't change the plan now. Pawing the bird gently towards Peanut, he mewed I caught this in my territory. You look like you might need it, with the kits and all. They use up so much energy. He knew that for a fact. He wasn't the one they were sucking from, but Nala was more tired than he had seen her. @PoppySeed

Peanut nodded and pulled the prey towards him and Strawberry. "Thank you, Pit. Would you like to come in and rest?" he asked. He motioned with a tattered ear towards the small den.
______

Strawberry smiled, Pit, interesting name. She would love to get to know him. Peanut seemed to want to let him in the den, and she would agree.

Re: Peanut and Strawberry's territory [Open]

He was glad they had accepted. This was going quite well, and he nodded, ready to agree to get in and out of the cold. As much time as he had spent on walking and hunting before that had kept him fairly warm, but now standing still was beginning to leach that away. Following Peanut, who seemed to be the talker of the two into the den, he sat down on one side, away from the nest. He didn't want to take up their space in their own den. You have a nice den. he mewed, looking around quickly. After a moment, he sent out another advance. Have you had any trouble with predators lately? A seemingly normal question, that would give him some information he needed. @PoppySeed
